“You can always adopt my duckie, no matter what I will be such a happy grandpa ! But uh maybe not anytime soon … please …”
"That's true."
Adoption was always an option. And maybe after some time she'd feel differently about the whole 'birth' thing.
"Don't worry, Dad, I don't think I'm ready yet, either way."

To be fair, an egg may be preferable, Charlie. I mean, depends on the dad. If you end up with an angel of some sort they're likely to have wings, wings that can get stuck if you've got a live birth. Same with any other kinds of extra appendages. At least an egg is a known entity. Good luck.
"... I hadn't thought of that. That sounds horrifying."
She's questioning if she ever wants kids now.

"I reeeeally hope not. I don't wanna do that," Charlie said after having watched him lay the egg.
"But why do you think I take more after Mom than you?" she asked curiously.
“Dad, is it possible if I have a kid it could be an egg?”
Well now that is a question…. “Don’t know kiddo to be honest all Angel species are made different the first batch of us are essentially aliens to the current batch .. so it’s a bit of a toss up but I believe you take after your mother more then me so gonna go with No?”

"I would be amenable to either within reason," Alastor replied.
She seemed to be going with red; a good start so far.
"Velvette, I do wonder did you pick out Vox and Valentino's outfits?" Alastor asked curiously.
Her response would tell him a lot about, or rather his opinion about, her fashion sense.
"Fuck no. You think I'd pick those out? They won't let me despite trying."

"Well, that's just disappointin'," Angel sighs. He makes his way upstairs, leaving the two as he continues eating his popcorn.
"....," Alastor stares down at Lucifer when their alone, wondering what the short king will do now.
"Yes, well, you should be careful what you say," Alastor said.
"Get to tha' ass eatin' part already!" Angel calls out in the background, eating popcorn as he watches.

"Yeah. If you're gonna start eatin' ass out in tha open, I'm gonna watch," Angel shrugged, thinking that was a given.
Alastor seemed to catch up to what was going on and his cheeks turned slightly red. "That—! That is clearly not what he meant!"
"Yes, well, you should be careful what you say," Alastor said.

"You are wrong about that— deer DO bite and most of the time they don't let go. Be grateful I did," Alastor said, bringing his hands up and adjusting his lapels.
"Besides, your kingly angelic self can simply heal. There's no real harm," he waves a hand dismissively.

"I was born an American. I have no king," Alastor flippantly told him, looking rather smug and self satisfied.
Others may have found the eat your ass thing sexually suggestive, but Alastor was not so up to date on the lingo and so it went right over his head.
"You are wrong about that— deer DO bite and most of the time they don't let go. Be grateful I did," Alastor said, bringing his hands up and adjusting his lapels.

"And I was going to allow you to do it but then you had to get cocky, talking about who was king. And well, we can't have that," Alastor said decidedly.

Alastor slips into his Alternate's space with the egg strapped to his front. "Greetings! So sorry for disappearing there my dear alternate, but I've been very busy." He motioned to the egg. "I wanted to introduce you to my son, August Gabriel Morningstar."
His double! How wonderful it was to see him. And it appears he brought a delicious snack for the two of them to share.
Alastor tilts his head, looking at the egg oddly.
.... or perhaps not.
"Your son is a Morningstar? Not that there are a lot of options, but dare I ask who his other parent is?"

He reached out to give Alastor a big ol BLOOP to the nose
Alastor stares down at the short king, his grin seeming even bigger, those yellow teeth even sharper than usual. Will he bite the hand that attempts to touch his nose?
There's only one way to find out.

“Ummm sure,” Charlie replied nervously.
“But can I sit down with him? I’d feel more comfortable sitting.”
She’d never held an egg before and she felt there was less of a chance of dropping it if she was sitting.
“Be careful with how you’re sitting with the egg, Alastor. You don’t want to drop it and have scrambled eggs,” Charlie said making a terrible pun.
Alastor had the egg cradled to his chest much like you would a baby. Honestly, doesn't even know how to hold an actual baby let alone an egg. At least the egg wasn't wiggling too much. "It's so big and round, I'm attempting to position it in a way that works......you might not want your father to hear that kind of joke." He cleared his throat. "He's still hormonal, but that should be less and less within a week hopefully." He hums a bit to the egg. "Doesn't he look handsome?"

“There’s a reason I said the joke to you and not to him,” she gave a small giggle.
Charlie reached out gently placing a hand on the egg. “He is a very handsome egg,” she agreed.

Charlie gave Adam a warm smile and reached out, taking both of his hands in to hers.
"You're not 'just a gardener' now. You're an important member of this hotel," Charlie told him sincerely.
"I know you don't really see my vision. And maybe that's my fault for not being able to communicate it clearly enough. I, umm, do have trouble getting it across to people," she admitted, having seemed to run up against a lot of opposition despite her numerous efforts to get her idea out there. "But I'm going to keep trying. And maybe one day I'll be able to share it properly with everyone."
"And until then, I could really use any advice you could give me in how to get Heaven to cooperate with me. Any advice you could offer a a friend."
"I know you're not exactly happy to be here, but I'm glad that I've gotten the chance to know you better."
"Umm, heeeeeey, Adam."
"Do you have any advice for dealing with Sera?"
" Hmmmm.....well, you're supposed to kiss her ass since she's top bitch in heaven. Like okay, she's pretty flexible but everything she does is for Heaven first.
The little guy? Yeah, they don't matter. She only cares about Heaven as a whole and she'll kick anyone out who doesn't bend over."

"Hmmmm," Alastor hummed looking down at her as he regarded the offer.
There was no harm in it, really. If it was terrible he could just refuse to wear it.
"Very well," he decided. "Let's see what you can do, my dear."
"Velvette, I do wonder did you pick out Vox and Valentino's outfits?" Alastor asked curiously.
