Long before the introduction of color film, a Russian chemist and photographer named Sergey Prokudin-Gorsky used an innovative technique. He took three individual black and white photos, each through a colored filter (red, green, and blue), to create fully colored, high-quality pictures. The photo of this woman, taken by him, is around 107 years old!

“How did the first blacksmith make the first pair of tongs” is such a stoner question for the rabbis to have asked and “God made a pair of tongs at the beginning of time actually” is the sort of answer you’d give when you’ve run out of patience for discussing stoner questions

Moral of the story: don’t tell your friends about things their asshole exes do!!!!! Let them live in ignorance!!!! (And if you do, and they get mad…. do the right thing and pay for their drinks when they decide to hit the bar at 12:25 PM)
Hey y’all remember the breakup I crashed out about on here a year ago? This morning I woke up to one of my idiot friends randomly texting me a screenshot of that ex GETTING ENGAGED

This ex…. the college one, not the crashout one… they’re just as funny, and smart, and kind as I remember when I first fell in love with them. It was one of those relationships where the first time you see them, you know they could be the one!! I met them in a seminar our senior of college and I was SO head over heels… it’s so nice (and sad) to remember why !!
And they’re seeing someone new!! And it makes me feel EVIL!!!

It’s especially weird bc I recently saw (and kissed) my ex from college?? And seeing them for the first time in a few years was so sweet and so sad... Realizing that we’ve grown into adults who could be SO good together now 🙃 because the trust and humor and values and attraction we always had are still just as there, but now we’ve both grown into understanding our needs and asserting our boundaries. But they live in Seattle and I live in the Midwest… and neither of us are interested in moving… sigh
