a God who loves me constantly, saves me eternally, and forgives me continuously

friends who love me, who make me laugh, and who teach me to love better

the children I work with

people who challenge me to be a better version of me

education

Baylor University

forgiveness

encouragement

acceptance

love

Colorado

football

good movies

second chances (and third, fourth, and so on)

so many other things!

This spring break, I said YES!, bought a dress, and booked a venue. I know four and a half months seems really fast, but for this teacher, a summer wedding has always been the dream! July 21, here we come!! #marryingmcneils 👰🏻💍💒 (at Camp Lucy)

I did what I could, and now I will continue to do what I can. I'm going to leave this out as a reminder to pray for the country I still love, for its leaders, and for its people, many who are feeling afraid, crushed, and discouraged. Pray boldly, pray often, and pray for God to bless America. 1 Timothy 2:1-3 ❤️🇺🇸💙

That wasn't fun. This season in our country, the anger, the hatred, the judgement, the social media rants, the snarky comments everywhere I go... it hasn't been fun. I'm glad it's almost over. I am confident that I educated myself well on the issues and on the candidates and that I made as informed a decision as I could have; I am confident that I made the decision with which I am most comfortable. I am not confident that I made the right decision. I am thankful that through it all, God is sovereign, and His throne is still occupied. I have peace because He's still working for our good and for His glory!! Therefore, I will pray "for all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness." - 1 Timothy 2:2 No matter what, praise God.

I miss Disney World. Disney World is magical!! Also, my legs and feet and back hurt from days in a row in the parks, and I’m thankful for a lazy afternoon today. Getting old isn’t fun, kids. Never grow up!
