This image contains all of the properties of water. From the moment earth was created the amount of water has not changed, its simply changed its form. Water has three properties, solid, liquid, and gas. What distinguishes one from the other comes down to how tight or apart the molecules are from each other. Molecules are the elements that make up water (hydrogen and oxygen). When water is in liquid form, the molecules simple pass one another, think of them as floating around. When water is a solid, think of the molecules squished together, like a can of tuna. Now when water is a gas, the molecules look like the world during the pandemic, they all keep their distance and are spread out. Temperature places a role in these changes. If you want to go from a liquid to a gas, add heat ( 212°F ). When going from a liquid to a solid simple decrease the temperature ( 32°Fahrenheit).
