nat being the one to find out abt misty destroying the 'transponder' is exactly how it was always going to go and i LOVE its where we ended up. its why adult nat is so cold and jaded and wary around adult misty, its why she knows inherently that misty cuts her battery cable, tampering w something again to be close to her. why nat is not completely surprised at misty spying on her in her hotel room with a camera. like sorry, since nat's s1 misty hallucination its always been them, intertwined in this resentful and twisted and devoted red string of fate they keep tugging and tugging on until misty eventually strangles her

I loved the scene of Nat finding Misty with the black box and how it shapes their relationship we see in the adult tl so much

It's so perfect in my opinion like it HAD to be Nat finding her. The way she screams at Misty (rightfully) and Misty asking "are you gonna tell everyone?" she's scared because she knows what the rest of them will do to her if they'll know, and Nat knows it too, so she keeps Misty's secret with her and just says "tell me how this can get us home".

And she kept her secret for 25 years later and never told anyone, and I think you can see it perfectly in adult mistynat's dynamic.

(also Nat screaming fuck you repeatably hurt me like this poor girl just wants to go home and finding out they could've been rescued so much earlier broke her)
