In historic artworks, stories, and myths, the muse was most often depicted as nothing more than a passive object of beauty or scorn. In this series, I reinterpret these stories in contemporary settings, casting the muse as the protagonist, reclaiming her agency, and furthering the issues important to me as a woman and an artist.
