Silverquill, represent!
Lights up, write till the night's done, fight's done Silverquill here casting shadows in your bright sun I won't give up, gimme a pen and a page I'll write you into a rage, and make you rattle your cage All the world is our stage, but you'd be lucky to play a bit part Got your head start? Can't go far, I'm a shooting star So you see, when the rabble rolls up with their crew I'll refute, say the truth, I was meant to do
Witherbloom's weeds and their pestilent seeds Can't help but shiver and wither when I breathe, what you breed are atrocities Tending the Pests, I AM THE BEST, I'll smash all the rest! Don't forget, best reflect as you genuflect!
Lorehold? More like a Snorehold, or Borehold Your hour is up, give it up, I'll shake it up before your lore's told Have you Made your Mark? Don't think I see a spark! I'm gonna leave YOU buried in what I've Ripped Apart.
Prismari, your art means your heart isn't quite pleased I'll Teach by Example, so play your part, tout d'suite! Inspired? Or tired? You're scrambling too hard, see Just get blown away by my Dramatic Finale
Quandrix is floundering and drowning in rap Decisive Denials make your theorems fall flat Your Body of Research is beached, you can't teach Cause you didn't factor in that I'm one ruthless beast!
So you see? Take the bait and I'll Humiliate the greats Don't hate what's first-rate, you'll Go Blank while I make bank It's fate, serve it on their plate, deny it all you want, my every taunt makes your nerves start to shake So I'll give it to you straight, Silverquill dominates!
Strixhaven Rap Battle
Let’s do this!
Quandrix
Two four eight, sixteen thirty-two
Your number is up, because we’re coming for you!
The greatness of Quandrix, cannot be overstated
Power level’s so high, can hardly be calculated
You other schools think you’re smart, with your lectures and chalk
Let’s hear you recite pi backwards, and maybe then we can talk
With your linear growth, you think you have such potential
Meanwhile we’re doubling down, and our plan’s exponential
Compared to our math, your homework looks like a clown
And we’ll fractal you up, so you better back down!
Who wants to go next?! (For those who haven’t witnessed a Magic Rap Battle before, literally ANYONE is welcome to join in.)

“Now? Well, certainly!” Mathias smiled and finished his tea. He focused on the sights and sounds of Theros in his mind, and a window flung itself open, wind beginning to swirl around him as he started to planeswalk.

Theren leaned in intrigued. “So the song is from your dreams, interesting! Songs sometimes come to me in dreams, but that’s because they’re usually ideas I had that I needed to sleep on the make them work.”
“Well, I’m no song writer, so maybe it’s something else.” Mathias twitched his whiskers in thought. “Actually, that’s not the only strange thing that’s been happening in my dreams…”
Theren’s face got excited. “This is exciting, tell me more!,” he exclaimed.
“Well….” The water began to boil properly, and Mathias yelped. “One moment!” he said, shutting off the stove and pouring two mugs of tea- one for himself and one for Theren. “Here we go, my friend! Don’t hesitate to add any honey or sugar you may like. There’s fazuelos in the bread box too, if you’d like.” He grabbed one of these, and retreated to the living room couch, eating his pastry and sipping his mug.
Theren added some honey and stirred it in. “This is nice,” he said after taking a sip. “So what else happened in these dreams?”
“Hm.” Mathias sipped his tea again, thinking. “In the dreams where I hear the song, I usually find myself on other planes… with other catfolk. Five others, specifically. Always the same ones each time. I know they’re from other planes, too, and I know what their names are.”
The leonin looked down. “I… don’t know how I know these things, but I do. And… in my dreams, I see them as friends. Sworn companions.”

Mathias shook his head. "No, never. I haven't been off Ravnica in half an age, but... perhaps I should go, just the once. Would you be willing to recommend one particular one to me?"

“Certainly!” Mathias stood up, pocketing his book, and opened the door to his home. “Do come in, make yourself at home! What kind of tea would you like? Perhaps some cake to go with it?” If the leonin’s words were more slurred than normal, interspersed with yawns, he didn’t comment on it, but he did surreptitiously rub his eye as he ushered Theren inside.
Theren smiled as he brought out a bag of herbs and spices. “I actually brought the stuff for tea! The herbs and spices I brought make a great chamomile tea.”
“Oh, wonderful!” Mathias clapped his hands with a smile. “We’ll just set those up in a satchet and brew some tea. So, how have you been doing, my friend? Still living well, I hope?” He accepted the bag of spices from Theren and set about readying them to brew tea with.

“Hm?” The song abruptly stopped. “Oh, my apologies!” Mathias said. “It’s... a bit strange, but I’ve actually been dreaming about that song now and again... I hear someone hum it, and I feel like I should recognize it, but... I don’t.” He shrugged. “It doesn’t seem to mean anything, so I’m not fussed.”

"That's good, that's good! It's never a crime to be soft around the middle." Mathias patted his own ample belly and chuckled heartily. The sound of water coming to a boil soon filled the quiet room, coupled with the leonin humming a strange tune, one that didn't sound like any Ravnican songs Theren knew.

If anyone is giving @bace-jeleren shit about commissions, I will personally come to your house and bite your ankles. I get that you paid for a service, but also understand that life happens. Sometimes things take longer than expected, for whatever reasons.
And Bace, if you’re just randomly beating yourself up about this, cut that out. There is nothing wrong with drawing other things while you have commissions, and you nor anyone else should make you feel bad about. You are not a failure.
I love you, your friends here love you, and we’re here to support you 💕

Stopping for Tea
Theren walked, his right leg feeling much better, down Oak Street leaving the inn. He had begun to workout and get back into shape, but had only lost a few pounds. The staff of Ther’s was in his hand, but he used it more now to allow him to jump and do more acrobatic moves. As he past Fauna Square, the leaves of the tree fell slowly. He whistled a tune as he past it by. He saw a Selesnya evangel and greeted them as he walked by, but did not stop to chat as he was running errands. After stopping by a shop to pick up some herbs and spices for tea, he headed to his old friend, Mathias. @leonin-pal-adin

Mathias’s home was quiet and peaceful as usual, and the tall, soft leonin was sitting outside on the porch, reading a small book, when he saw Theren arriving. He looked up, and smiled a bit- but there was an odd, not quite haunted, but definitely disturbed look in his eyes, like he had been pondering for a long, long time over a question that didn’t have an easy answer. “Greetings, Theren! What brings you my way this fine fall day?” he asked, voice mellifluous and gentle, one big paw raising up to greet the elven bard.

"See you then! I wish you much fortune, and the best of pregnancies."
@innistrad-historian
“Any advice would be helpful, especially since I’ll be raising the child on my own. I want to be a good father.” Graye continued to look into his mug of tea.
===
Mathias nodded. “I understand. I would assume you’re currently seeking out, well, health information for the duration of your pregnancy, but I do know plenty about fatherhood.” He rubbed his chin, stroking his mane softly, and took another sip of tea. “What’s incredibly important is having loyalty to your child. No matter what, you need to listen to them, you need to trust them, and you need to let them be honest with you without punishing them. It can be taxing, especially when you’re busy or tired, but it’s necessary. Trust me.” He shivered slightly.

"Why, certainly. I'd be glad to help you tomorrow or the next day, after work!" Mathias smiled brightly.

"And I am glad to have you as one, Graye." Mathias shook hands with Graye, and stood, collecting the two empty teacups. "Is there anything else I may do for you today, Graye?"
