also yeah the best feature tumblr has (or lacks, i guess) is the inability to see other people’s follower count. not knowing how many followers anyone has makes this site more fun it’s easier to pretend we’re all just like, hanging out in a cave together.

Tag Yourself
bad ass bi: explicitly wears leather jackets, doesn’t give a singular fuck, low key maybe a softie on the inside, is actually really smart, wears combat boots, big mood, basically rosa diaz
useless bisexual: can’t flirt to save their life, not that smart but still thriving, hella clumsy, can’t understand what is happening, embarrasses self all the time, will stare at their crush and not know how to talk to them, awkward but adorable
bisexual mess: kind of close to the useless bisexual, makes terrible life decisions/can’t make decisions, never has their shit together, gets into shit all the time without trying, exudes lazyness and is high key lazy, still manages to pull it together at the end of the day, peak of pining over crushes, finger guns and thumbs up
art bi: that art hoe, reads, drinks coffee, aesthetic, enjoys long walks and deep conversations, low key an artist in their spare time, actually really cool but probably shy

the best analogy i can come up with for the queerbaiting era of tv vs. the market-tested lgbt representation era of tv is this: for years and years we were denied a seat at the table and forced to subsist on whatever scraps happened to fall to the floor. and things persisted like this for so long that we got really, really good at putting our heads together and making feasts out of these scraps. like we were handed garbage and leftovers and we make gourmet meals out of them. we took whatever we could get and we threw it all in one big pot and we made sumptuous hobo stew. and it was not ideal, of course, but there was camaraderie. there was community. we were feeding each other. and then at some point they were like, “oh, we’re so sorry, please, come and eat at the table” and we all eagerly took seats at the table only to find bowls of thin gruel. and we were like, “what the hell is this” and they were like, “god you ingrates are so sensitive you get mad about everything first you weren’t satisfied with the scraps and now you’re not satisfied with this thin gruel. do you know how long it took us to make this thin gruel. do you know how much bravery it required to convince the chefs to allow us to serve you this thin gruel. didn’t you read the article in teen vogue about how revolutionary this thin gruel is.” anyway the moral of this story is that we should just go build our own table and make our own food.

As U.S. President, George H.W. Bush, among other things, cut AIDS research funding, banned HIV-Positive people from entering the country, encouraged “behavioral change” to the exclusion of comprehensive sexual education, and extended/expanded many of the murderous AIDS policies of Ronald Reagan, for whom Bush served as Vice President. By the end of 1993, over 194,000 HIV/AIDS related deaths had been reported in the United States. Approximately 133,000 of which were during Bush’s one term as President. Between 1987 and 1992, the median age at death among men in the United States that died from HIV/AIDS related causes was 38; among women the median age was 34. George H.W. Bush died November 30th 2018 at the age of 94. May he rot in Hell alongside Ronald Reagan! 🖕

I aint gonna articulate this right but I’ve noticed there’s this weird sub culture on tumblr where it’s frowned upon to say anything positive about your life. Like occasionally I see someone post something like “I love my job so much” and a few responses are like “wish I could find a job :/” or “must be nice to not have depression” and it’s really strange. A lot of people are pulling themselves out of dark places or finally figuring out how to be happy (no easy feat) and they don’t need you projecting your own demons on their moments of happiness they wanted to share.

me: lol actually people shouldn’t have to be ‘useful’ to society in order to receive food & shelter; food & shelter should literally be 100% free for every single person, without exception. this isn’t a new or difficult concept.
every dumb bitch who loves working their life away in a system that is literally designed to keep them working their life away, about to defend that system:
