The thing is lads I cannot think of a better use for my tax dollars than feeding children. I want my taxes to give the single mother of three healthcare. I want my taxes to take care of the elderly and the disabled. I don’t care if they’re citizens or legal residents or whatever. I want my taxes to help people. Because we’re trying to live in a goddamn society. Instead my taxes go towards bombing schools and hospitals and refugee camps. Billions and billions sent to proxy wars. And still people quibble over whether we should feed children. What are we doing here. Feed the kids.

I know I'm super late to say this, but the fact that everyone who either didn't vote or voted for Trump essentially told women "No matter how successful you are, no matter how hard you work, no matter what you do, we'll still vote for a felon over you because he's a man" is fucking disgusting.

The only way they can save the $2 trillion they proposed is by cutting Social Security, Medicare, and Veterans benefits. They are also planning on cutting the National Institute of Health, and all funding for the arts and sciences among other things. Best of all they are going to further cut taxes for the top 1% while cutting all those services to the bottom 98% of the country.
