“For once, I’m at a loss for words...”.

When @lemon-zesttt had their commissions open, I HAD to try my luck and I got a slot!

I wanted a future scene of Rhythmic Waves to be drawn, specifically the confession scene between these two. They got the overall vibes nailed down perfectly, Leonore grabbing onto her dress for her dear life shows how nervous she is (poor gal is almost about to have a heart attack).😭

The confession scene already got written (I got carried away whoops), so if you don't care about the future development/spoilers of Rhythmic Waves, the specific part is under the cut so you can read it.🫶

The soft waves of the ocean mixed with the wind were the only noises heard. Elliott looked at Leonore with an expression, she couldn’t really describe. It wasn’t threatening or anything, she could feel his emerald green eyes looking right at her soul.

His gaze was kind and patient, and yet there was something to it.

And yet, anxiety started to bloom within her chest, causing her to fidget with her fingers to stay focused.

Please, not now.

“Um … Leonore, how do I say this …?”

The silence returned once again between the two, causing Leonore to feel uneasy about it. Her pulse quickened now, not sure what happens next. Should she say something? The silence mixed with his gaze made her heart beat faster; the tension was killing her.

Never felt uncertainty as piercing and harrowing as this, her hands sweating.

And then, Elliott spoke up.

“Well, we’ve been friends for a while now … but I’m ... I’m not sure if I feel that way about you anymore.”

Leonore didn’t see his face at this moment, since she closed her eyes in fear.

Is she going to be heartbroken again? After all this time?

After all those conversations?

Was everything for nothing?

It felt like her heart was starting to develop cracks - just like the time before the break-up with her ex.

“So it means … you’ve made up your mind? We should part our ways?”, she said, sadness dripping out of every word she spoke.

Which made Elliott panic quite a bit, eyes wide in shock.

“No! I’m not saying I want to cut all ties with you!”, he exclaimed, but his voice immediately became softer and his gaze comforting.

“In fact … quite the opposite.”

Leonore looked at him with wide eyes, she couldn’t contain her surprise of his statement.

“... Let’s see, how do I put this …?”

The familiar silence returned, but this time it’s different - Leonore’s heart didn’t stop pounding, however. She was on full alert, suddenly feeling every hair and every inch of her body was an unbearable feeling .

“For once, I’m at a loss for words...”, Elliott said, his gaze never leaving Leonore’s eyes.

With no warning, Elliott’s hands cupped her face, caressing it with such softness, his eyes half lidded and yet full of warmth. His face was inching closer and closer to hers, she could smell his musk and feel his breath on her face. Leonore was completely frozen, she wouldn’t dare move a finger, her heart rapidly pounding in her chest. She wanted to close her eyes, the sheer amount of adrenaline and other emotions wouldn’t let her, however.

Her fern-green eyes meeting emerald green ones.

I recently commissioned @lemon-zesttt to draw a fluffy scene from Ch 10 of AMATS and I'm in awe over it! This is when my OC Rayna first meets Jas and the two having a little moment with Harvey and Shane nearby.

I love it so much! Rayna is happy, Jas is starstruck, Harvey is observing, and Shane is sulking LOL. Below is an excerpt of that chapter:

“Aunt Marnie told me you have pretty rainbow hair like a unicorn!” Rayna laughed. “I do!” She reached up to take the clip out and let her hair fall past her shoulders. She turned around and shook her head, showing the different colors cascading over her shoulders and down her back. “WOW!!!” Jas said, her eyes wide open. She was visibly amazed that there were so many colors in her hair. “Is it real? Can I touch it?” “Jas,” Shane interrupted. “That’s not a nice thing to ask someone you just met!” “Oh, it’s ok. I don’t mind.” Rayna said as she squatted down, placing the basket next to her and gently placing her hair clip on top. “I get that question a lot from adults actually. It took me a long time to get it like this so I love it when someone appreciates it.” She got close enough to Jas so their eye level was the same and smiled. “Yes, it’s real. You can touch it if you like!” Jas grinned as she leaned over and reached for a clump of Rayna’s hair. She rubbed the chunk of hair between her fingers for a few seconds, her eyes remained big as she looked at the colors. “It IS real!” She gushed. “Does it glow in the dark too?” Rayna laughed again as she watched Jas’s reaction. “No, but there’s a special dye that changes color when you put it under a special light when you’re in the dark. I had that done years ago.” Jas grabbed another chunk of hair, not taking her eyes off the rainbow lock. “Does it change colors when you go underwater?” “Nope, it stays the same!” Rayna stood up and smiled. “But I have to be careful not to wet it all the time or the colors will fade faster.” Jas turned to her uncle. “Can I have hair like hers?” Shane started to protest but Rayna intervened. “Oh I don’t think this would be safe for your head right now,” she told them. “But there are some paints that go on hair you might be able to try if your uncle and aunt say it’s ok.” She looked over at the two men. “And of course with doctor’s approval.” Harvey nodded in their direction. “Hair isn’t my expertise, but I’m sure it’s fine in moderation and you follow whatever directions come with the product.” Jas looked back to Rayna. “Aunt Marnie said you also have a tree picture on your arm that looks like the tree in one of my books!” Marnie what did you do, give Jas a script to memorize????

I can't stop staring at this beautiful art by @lemon-zesttt who created this GORGEOUS scene of Jerusha and Harvey for me. This was based on my love of Harvey's sleeping sprite, where he is smiling in his sleep, and the care that Jerusha gives him in my longfic Harvey and Jerusha I love them so much and this makes me so happy!
