“...if we want the rewards of being loved we have to submit to the mortifying ordeal of being known.”
― Tim Kreider, New York Times
Nostalgia is something I feel is colouring my early twenties; I have an indescribable ache to revisit, recapture, relive my childhood years and capture the essence of childhood and growth as the world around me (and my place in it) shifts and changes with time. Understanding who I am now and who I was then are integral parts of this journey of discovery, but it is often hard to find the right time or medium to do this reflection. I have grown up for most of my teenage and young adult life in a digital world. While each kind of media varies in its advancement and influence on aspects of my life, it is ever-present. Cataloging pivotal moments of my life, understanding their impact, and documenting the interplay between my personal growth and the digital advancements of the time, while viewing them through a lens of nostalgia, is the main purpose of this blog.

“The Greek word for 'return' is nostos. Algos means 'suffering.' So nostalgia is the suffering caused by an unappeased yearning to return.”
― Milan Kundera, Ignorance
