The dichotomy between ocs is so funny. Sometimes you're coaxing them out of the recesses of your mind like "pspspsps here sweetie dont be shy why don't you come tell me more about yourself" and sometimes its like there's a guy in here with you and he's punching the walls

CHAPTER ELEVEN - Friday Night Hockey
"All right, boys," Coach spoke in his gruff tone, "this is our first game of the season, so let's make it a good one, yeah? Work together, and remember what we've talked about in practice." He let his words sink in for a moment before he clapped his hands together. "All right, let's go show those punks how to play." As his words of encouragement came to an end, the room buzzed with renewed energy. CJ stood up along with his teammates, trying to push all thoughts of Marnie and Ezra from his brain. He had to focus on the game. They headed out of the locker room, the roar of the crowd reaching their ears, and CJ couldn't hold in his grin as he took in the excited atmosphere. This was where he belonged: on the ice, giving it his all. He looked out into the stands, eyes scanning quickly through the crowds of people searching for the familiar faces of his family. His grin widened as he spotted the figures of his mom, Rory, Matt, and his grandparents sitting together. They waved and cheered for him, his mom holding up a - way too glittery for CJ's taste - sign with his jersey number on it, and he felt warmth spread through his chest.

CHAPTER TEN - Rory and CJ's Birthday Parties pt. 2
"Oh, these two were the cutest," Babette was cooing, much to Rory and CJ's chagrin. Both twins blushed lightly as embarrassing stories of their childhoods were told. "Oh, CJ was quite the little daredevil," Babette spoke with a grin, and CJ rolled his eyes good-naturedly. "I remember the summer when he first got obsessed with skateboardin'. He'd spend hours practicin' his little tricks and stunts in the town square." "And breaking his arm in the process," Rory teased, shoving her brother's shoulder lightly. "I would've landed that trick if there wasn't a crack in the sidewalk!" CJ defended, exasperatedly. Lorelai rolled her eyes. "Don't remind me. That day was terrifying," She said, a hand over her heart as she looked at CJ. "The arm's all good now," he reminded her, showing off his perfectly fine limb. The group continued with their stories, their mom coming up with more than anyone else, of course. "Rory and CJ were such bookworms," Mom teased them with a bright grin as she began her story. "Well, still are. But I used to catch them secretly reading books way past their bedtime with flashlights under their covers. They devoured every book they could get their hands on. It was like having two mini librarians in the house." Everyone laughed again, and CJ felt his cheeks heat up. "You know, I'm still stunned beyond belief that Rory quit her ballet lessons," Miss Patty revealed, shaking her head with disappointment. CJ and Lorelai both groaned dramatically. "Oh, not me," Mom spoke, sending Rory an amused look. "Little Miss 'perfect work ethic' would prance around this room 24 hours a day," she teased, and Rory's cheeks tinged pink. CJ snorted. "And she was the worst dancer I've ever seen," he added, bluntly, to the chuckles of the other guests.

Leiaskywallker's OCs: Evie Gilmore
Genevieve "Evie" Gilmore is the youngest daughter of Richard and Emily Gilmore, the little sister of Lorelai Gilmore, and the aunt of Rory Gilmore. Raised in the elite world of the Gilmore family, Evie grew up under the weight of their high expectations. Unlike her rebellious sister Lorelai, Evie chose to embrace the privileged lifestyle, striving to meet their parents' intense standards.
Now, a recent Yale graduate with a business degree, Evie appears to have a picture-perfect life with a successful, well-off boyfriend and her pick of job opportunities. However, beneath the façade of privilege and poise, she grapples with her own desires and aspirations, unsure if her path aligns with her true passions.
When Friday Night Dinners bring her back into the fold with her sister and niece, Evie's carefully curated world begins to shift. The bonds she forms and the lessons she learns challenge her perspective and lead her down a path of self-discovery.

loved being like 12 years old and making an OC and saying “yeah they’re a hardened criminal. they’re deeply involved in crime. they’re in a gang” and then never elaborating on that because i didn’t know how crime worked. this is still my approach

CHAPTER NINE - Rory and CJ's Birthday Parties
"Well, are you alright?" Rory asked, her voice tinged with concern as she looked at him seriously. CJ nodded, "I'm fine, I had time to relax and calm down, I'm good." He took in his sister's frown and slightly red-rimmed eyes. "What about you? What happened?" He asked, setting down the brownie and facing her fully. Rory shrugged, crossing her arms over her chest and glancing around as the staff began cleaning up the party. "Ror?" Rory sighed, shaking her head as she chewed her inner cheek. "First, Grandma invited all these Chilton kids without our permission, then she told me that you and I had to make a speech to our guests, and you were nowhere to be found, so . . so, I yelled at her," his sister recapped. CJ raised an eyebrow, "You yelled at Grandma?" He asked, feeling equal parts scared for his sister as well as impressed by her. "Kinda wish I was there to see it," he quipped with a smile. "Well, the rest of the party had front row seats," Rory snarked, sounding bitter.
