The girl happily walked through the hallway listening to her favorite songs. Face as blank as paper, eyes barley open, heavy eyebags. The girl had very pale skin, and always wore an expression that made her look like a tired teen mom. She had long black hair with a pinkish purple color fade at the fluffy ends of her hair. She has a split-colored sweater both sides purple the left being darker than the other side, jeans that cover her black converse, gloves that don't cover her fingers, and a purple scarf wrapped around her neck which was a gift from her mother. “She looks like a corpse.” “She's creepy as hell.” “It's like looking at a ghost.”
She’s heard it all. Apple. Apple was the girl’s name. But people call her "happy Appie". Happy Appie because people poke fun at her for supposingly having a happy party in her head due to the music she seems to be deeply lost in. Or just Appie. She didn’t mind any of the rude comments she got. Always lost in her music she seems to love so much, she has no time to stress about some comments from strangers that mean nothing to her.
The way Apple talks to herself seems to weird the other kids out. Everything about her appeared to be weird to all the kids at school. Even the adults. Sometimes even her parents themselves. The only person who doesn't seem to care about her being "creepy" is her younger brother Lucas. They did everything together. When their parents would fight Apple and Lucas hid in the same room and laughed it off. Their parents fought about silly things. Like how Richard (their father) didn't let Barbara (their mother) Finish a bottle of orange juice. The parents neglected both Lucas and Apple. They really only had each other. The days were always the same for Apple. Every day was just go to school, come home, maybe play with Lucas, then sleep, and repeat. However, one day a girl group of 3 sat at her table where she usually sat alone. “Hey, Appie! is this seat taken?” Apple stared at them. “I’ll take that as a no then!” The girl said not minding the look she and the other girls just got from Apple. “So Appie, what do you even listen to? You seem really into it.” One of the girls questioned her. Again, no response. For the rest of the lunch period, the girls chit-chatted about random things like the guys they found attractive while Apple just simply ignored the noisy girls and just did what she usually did. For the rest of the week, the girls would sit with Apple. Apple couldn't find out why. Maybe they just wanted to be friends? It confused the girl just thinking about it. It was just another day. She decided to finally speak to the girls. "Appie why don't you ever speak?" One of the girls asked rudely. "I..." Apple hesitated, "I don't know, I don't usually talk to people i'm not familiar with." All girls stared at Apple for a solid minute. Until one of the girls decided to speak up as an attempt to break the uncomfortable silence. “Anyways, now that you've decided to speak up...” The girl gave a look at the others. “Let's introduce ourselves.” “Sure. I wouldn't mind that.” Apple said. “My name is Tasha. Glad we've finally gotten to this part.” “I'm Annabelle, like the creepy doll.” She laughed. “And I'm Ella.” Apple stared for a bit like she was slowly processing everything. “I’m Apple.” All the three girls started to giggle. “We already know your name girl.” Annabelle laughed. They had a conversation about their interests for the rest of the lunch period. Of course, Apple not saying much. Everyone soon had to go to their classes. A couple of days later, the three girls decided to invite Apple to Annabelle's home. “That Appie bitch annoys me to the fucking CORE. I can't wait to beat her until she's just a dead bloody corpse.” Annabelle complained. “You can't be serious, Annabelle haha... I don't think we could get away with murder...” Ella chuckled nervously. “Shut it.” Ella froze. The two girls Tasha and Annabelle have always had a huge disliking for Apple. Apple always seemed to be happy in her own way. so happy yet she's so weird. They all hate it. Apple being comfortable and happy. They were jealous.
“Mom, Annabelle and her friends invited me to hang out with them.” “Well, that's amazing Apple dear! I can't remember the last time you were invited to hang out." “But Mom, I don't want to hang out with them. They're kind of annoying no offense.” "Well I say you go and socialize. I'll go bring you to them okay?” Apple just sat still on the grey couch. Feeling angry since she can't say no or else she'll get a lecture.
It was time. It was now the day of the hangout. “Hey girls. Happy Appie's here.” Annabelle grinned wide. Tasha giggled softly. smiling nervously, Ella was sweating. Ella never really hated Apple. She didn't want to be alone so she just put up with what she had to.
Apple hesitated before knocking on the door. “Heyy Appie! Come up to my room I have some board games we can play!” Annabelle had a nasty aura around her. Apple was clearly uncomfortable.
The four girls walked up the stairs and entered Annabelle's room. The door was instantly locked by Tasha. Annabelle started to laugh. “You little ANNOYING TWIG!” Annabelle quickly had her hand tightly wrapped around Apple's throat slightly lifting her up. “Look, Appie, I really did want to be friends but... You just piss me off in ways no one has ever before. It makes me want to hit you. I can't stand it anymore Appie. Appie... You even have an ugly ass name.” Annabelle released the hand around the girl's throat her other one reaching for the pocket knife in the back of her jeans. Apple dropped to the floor gasping for air. Loud static started to fill her head. She saw a tall looking man through the window beside Tasha. She wanted to go to it she felt drawn to it. She lifted her head. “I should've known you guys would do this. I knew you were witches. Go fuck with someone else.” Apple pounced on Annabelle. Ella ran to unlock the door then quickly ran out of the room leaving Tasha alone with the two. Tasha called out for Ella but she just ignored her. “Don't just stand there Tasha get this psycho off of me!!” Apple punched Tasha in the nose then reached for Annabelle's knife. Lifting the knife pointing to Tasha she whispered, “I wonder how sharp this is.” She plunged the knife into Tasha's throat. Tasha collapsed to the floor bleeding out leaving Annabelle paralyzed from the fear. "Why are you so scared now, Annabelle? You're such a coward. What happened to the tough act?" Apple pulled the knife from Tasha's throat. “Farewell.” Apple stabbed Annabelle in the face multiple times until she was unrecognizable. She then heard the cop cars from the outside. she thought to herself that Ella must have phoned the police. Apple quickly dropped the knife then hopped out the window and ran as fast as she could. Hearing the loud static once again following the tall creature deep into the woods. Her vision was blurred. It kept appearing further and further. She ran and ran until her vision fully went black leaving her passed out on the floor. Later on the word about the situation had gotten out. Her parents were shocked with how she was able to commit such a brutal crime but overall nothing really changed for them. Apple's brother, however, had many restless nights, sickening nightmares, he just couldn't stop thinking about his sister. He was devastated. No one knew if the girl was alive. Many days passed but the girl was never to be found.
