So like I know NDAs are a thing but with the current rumors of the next Earth Avatar from Avatar Studios and the cancellation of this project I noticed some people talking about how Genji was potentially picked up by them.

Nope! This was done as a team decision as our lives have taken different trajectories and new things require our attention and focus

Aaaaaahhhh finally some good news since the new series was announced!

I don't mean disrespect, I was never a fan of your project. Thank you for closing it because of the new and real next earth Avatar coming through. That's very thoughtful, smart and logical of you.

I am however fan of your art style. You guys should make fan work for already existing Avatars, if you ever come back to this franchise.

If not, good luck to all of you talented people!

💚As many of you have noticed, we’ve been pretty quiet for the last few months. After much heartfelt discussion and thought, we have decided to close out The Legend of Genji project to make way for the new Earth Avatar and allow our team members to start the next chapter of their lives and careers. Genji’s cast and story will always have a special place in our hearts, and we thank you for the tremendous support and energy you’ve given our team over the last few years as fans. We will be posting unreleased concept art and writing in the coming year to celebrate the accomplishments of our team. In the last part, we saw one of Varrick's newest ventures: the Grand Varrick Hotel in Ba Sing Se! So, what have Zhu Li and Varrick been up to since the Legend of Korra?

Zhu Li's time as President of the United Republic was very stressful and she left the office after one term. After years of humanitarian work, Avatar Korra nominated Zhu Li as the Head of the Global Assembly. Varrick continued to branch out his company into new incentives and one that was an immediate success was his "comicals", the Avatar version of comic books.

The couple had two children, Iknik Blackstone Varrick II and Minli. While Iknik II is a private writer, Minli is a carbon copy of her father and now controls Varrick Global Industries.

*smol gasp* Is Luan an introvert? In the lil' panel of him for the next part he seems to be displaying the exhaustion from socializing that is typically associated with some level of introversion.

He's very good at being in the limelight and all that, but he definitely does prefer time to himself to relax and take off his "public face" so to speak!

What happened to that one friend Nami had? That girl with the freckles and ponytail

We ended up adjusting Nami's story from what Macky originally made a few years ago; we were comparing timelines and realized that where Nami was in the North Pole didn't really work with the rest of the story.

So she may appear in other parts of the story, just not in this first chapter!

Why publish the comic in parts and not a whole? 😭

We have a couple of different reasons!

One of them being we spent a long, long time making this first part and we want to be able to like, enjoy the fruits of our labor!

Another reason is we want to make sure the fans can enjoy each section and not blow through it as quickly as possible and demand more lol

I absolutely love your comic and i can't wait for more, but i do have a question:

If team Avatar in ATLA was called the gaang, and in LOK the krew, what will Genji and his friends' group be called?

They're called the Geng!

We sometimes refer to the creative team as the "Grew" as well :) Kind of like the Steven Universe's name for their team!

Where can I read the full comic? I have to keep scrounging to find all the pages. When I looked at the comic on the website it only showed 2 pages when I know there is more. Have a good day and thank you for continuing my 2 favorite cartoons of all time.
