“Bowser is humbly requesting the Princess’ presence in the room down the hall. He said you are also welcome to join if she so desires. What shall I tell him?”
“One moment please, the princess and I need to discuss this before she answers.” Toadette says before closing the door.
Toadette turns to Luigi, “Ultimately this is your choice, but I highly advise you don’t go.”
“Why not? I’ve been with him this entire time, I think I can handle myself fine with him.”
“That’s not what I’m worried about- I mean I was worried about that but-”
“I’m going to accept, I can’t just sit in here the whole time, who knows when Mario is going to rescue us, now if you’ll excuse me I’d like to get out of this and get myself cleaned up at the very least, I’m pretty sure there are leaves in my hair.” Luigi gestures to his wig.
Toadette did her best to hold her tongue but still let something slip.
“The princess would NEVER accept that request this quickly… I’ll help you clean up and get ready I suppose, would you also like me to accompany you?” Toadette asked, somewhat irritated.
“Thank you, I think it would be a better idea if I were to go alone.”
Toadette let out a frustrated sigh but didn’t push Luigi any further seeing as he isn’t going to listen to her. The air was tense as Toadette helped Luigi get the corset off and began picking out his next outfit, a simple puffy pale blue dress with a high collar and frilly long sleeves.
Toadette told the koopa at the door that the princess would be out shortly and has decided to join Bowser by herself, and to stay by the door so he can assist her once she’s ready.
By the time she was finished with everything Luigi was ready for Toadette to help with his corsets once again.
“How did they get you?” Luigi asked suddenly.
“What do you mean?”
“How did they manage to get you here?”
“They got me when they sent most of the guards out to try to intercept you and Bowser.” Toadette said while tightening and tying the corset together.
“Well princess you’re ready for your… date.” Her voice dripped with sarcasm.
Luigi scoffed and limped his way to the door, ignoring Toadette. He allowed the koopa who was outside the door to help him get down the hall.
Once they approached the room where Bowser was waiting, the koopa ran over to open the doors revealing a large room barely illuminated by candles that were scattered around the room. There were some servants and guards around the perimeter of the room watching and waiting. In the center of the room there was a long narrow table decorated with various flowers, two sets of flatware, and more candles near the center. Bowser was seated at the end furthest from the door. When Luigi made eye contact with Bowser, he noticed the look of shock plastered to his face. Luigi quickly looked away, now both embarrassed and more irritated than before, took a seat at the other end of the table.
Bowser regained his composure and made a gesture at the servants standing in the room causing them to practically run out of the room.
“Well don’t you look stunning.” Bowser purred, he rested his arm and leaned over the table. A smug grin growing on his face. Ugh. Luigi wanted to slap that look off his face.
Luigi scoffed, not bothering to humor him any further.
“What’s wrong Peaches? Why so cold, isn’t this what you wanted? A date with the most handsome man in the land? Someone to have you on his arm, if only you smiled more–”
Luigi scowled, raised his finger and opened his mouth to say something when the doors burst open, an array of servants rushing in with countless different dishes. They hastily laid them on the table and served both Bowser and Luigi. Everything was going smoothly until one of the servants missed Luigi’s plate.
The servant apologized profusely to Luigi and Bowser saying that they will do better and it won’t happen again. They had dropped to their knees pleading for forgiveness before they felt a hand on their shoulder, and were promptly brought to their feet and turned around being met with Bowser looming over them. Bowser crouched down to be at eye-level with them, his hand still resting on their shoulder.
Bowser leaned closer to the trembling servant, whispering, the burning rage in his fiery eyes not matching his calm smile. “I told you, one more fuck up–” he points to the window, “Out you go.”
He lifted them up by the shoulder with ease, and strode towards the window, moved the curtain and held them outside. The servant was hysterical, yet Bowser said nothing. He looked down upon them, then let go.
Luigi stared at Bowser, his mouth wide open, he was utterly terrified. He felt as if there was glue sticking him to his seat. He wanted to do nothing more than run at that very moment.
Bowser dusted himself off, took a deep breath and turned back towards Luigi, now smiling.
“Anyways– what’s wrong Peaches? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
Luigi said nothing. What could he say? This was completely INSANE behavior. He really hoped Mario would get him out of this mess as soon as possible.
Bowser interrupted Luigi’s thoughts. He sounded worried, “That guy? He’s fine, I swear, look!” He moved away from the window.
Luigi slowly and shakily stood up, approaching the window. He cautiously peered over the edge expecting the worst. He saw the servant looking back up at him from a trough, he looked wet and oh-so pathetic, limbs dangling over the edges. Luigi looked back at Bowser, mouth agape.
“See!? I told you! He’s FINE!” Bowser dramatically threw his arms towards the window.
“You could have KILLED him! Why would you do that?!” Luigi screamed, tears now threatening to fall.
Bowser recoiled, for once he had nothing to defend himself with. The princess had never seen him discipline anyone before, after all.
“The only reason why I accepted this—” Luigi gestured wildly to the table; “WHATEVER- was because I am absolutely STARVING. If I knew this was how you were going to treat both me and your staff then I would have told you to ROT in HELL.” Luigi was sobbing, his arms still resting on the window sill.
Bowser tried to approach Luigi and rested his hand on him, causing Luigi to flinch away and hiss, “Don’t you DARE touch me!”
Luigi limped away to the table, bracing himself, laughing, “Ha. To think I was going to hear you out mere minutes ago, hoping you were going to apologize.”
Luigi straightened up and hobbled his way to the door, turning around once he reached it, “You’re utterly inhuman.” Luigi stated, emotionless, before he walked through the doors, slamming them behind him.

Back in the Mushroom Kingdom at Princess Peach’s castle, Mario stood at the head of a long table, surrounded by guards; the idle chattering throwing echoes around the conference room.
“Due to the absence of Sir Luigi we will have to proceed without him.” Mario spoke, causing the room to fall silent.
“Has anyone received any messages regarding my brother?” He spoke again in a vain attempt to learn anything about his whereabouts.
Only a few solemn shakes of heads and deafening silence followed. He didn’t want to show it but he was destroying himself over his brother’s disappearance. He refused to believe that Luigi had run away or that something had happened to him.
Mario took a deep breath, silencing his thoughts and focusing on the task at hand.
“We are here today to discuss the plans of finding our beloved princess to bring her home and reunite her with her fiance-”
Before Mario could finish, the doors burst open catching the attention of everyone in the room. A short figure could be seen striding into the conference room, making his way to Mario’s side.
“Your highness, I thought we discussed that you needn’t be here today-”
“WOE, WOE IS ME-” Prince Peasley cried, draping an arm over his forehead.
“Sir Mario, how could you expect ME to stay on the side whilst my betrothed is being held captive by that repulsive BEAST- that repulsive KING OF BEASTS-” Prince Peasley was clutching his chest with his free hand.
“Your HIGHNESS-” Mario interjected, “I understand your worries and frustrations, however, this display of emotions is precisely why I thought it best for you to not attend. We must do our best not to panic. If you insist upon being here please take a moment to soothe yourself, while we discuss our next course of action.”
Prince Peasley looked like a wounded animal, clearly a harsh blow had been dealt to his ego. In one final vain attempt at getting the upper hand, opened his mouth and pointed at Mario.
“Well I never- how DARE you-”
“One more outburst, and I will have you escorted out of here, your highness. You may rule the Bean Bean Kingdom but in this room I am in charge.” Mario said through gritted teeth.
The knights around the table stared in awe at the scene before them. The prince was about to say something further but pursed his lips and huffed walking towards an empty seat.
Mario took a deep breath to regain his composure.
“As I was saying, we need to gather our troops to set out and rescue her majesty. They should be arriving at Bowser’s castle any day now. Does anyone have any ideas before I continue?”
Prince Peasley opened his mouth when a lone toad spoke,
“How about we send a small group to go in under cover and sneak her out and have another troop be a distraction?”
Mario nodded slowly, “Not bad, not bad at all, what else do we have?”
“I would suggest Toadette to be in charge of the undercover party, but due to her unexpected kidnapping I am offering to hire two mercenaries to lead instead-”
Prince Peasley leapt from his seat and jumped onto the table, completely disrupting the diorama of Bowser’s castle shouting,
“Then I shall lead the distraction and whisk the lovely princess off her feet while the beast is distracted!”
Mario shot him a look that could kill, “No, you will under no circumstances be joining us, it is far too dangerous for you to be there. It is in the best interest of both your kingdom and our kingdom that you stay here. I will lead the distraction group, he will be expecting me to be there.”
Prince Peasley pouted, sitting down on the table resting his head on his hand.
“I will need you to be on your way, I fear you are not mentally well enough to stay, it is clear to me that this kidnapping has damaged your psyche.” Mario said, barely masking the relief in his voice.
Now completely dejected, Prince Peasley got off the table and sulked his way out of the room, the doors closing and locking behind him.
“Finally, now- without any more distractions-”
~~~~~~~
They had arrived at the castle, this was the first time Luigi had seen it from the front. He was in awe, it truly was as magnificent as it was daunting. The castle was surrounded by a large moat filled with lava that illuminated the ornate stone exterior. Luigi was just standing there mesmerized by every last detail.
“What is with you Peaches? You’re acting like you’ve never seen my glorious castle before. Are you sure that fall didn’t mess with your head at all?”
Luigi looked away from the castle to Bowser and silently glared at him. Bowser noticed this and stopped talking.
The atmosphere for the rest of the walk was thick, permeating with awkward silence and the occasional sound of Luigi’s crutch hitting the carpet. Luigi was still admiring the castle’s interior, albeit less outwardly. The halls were adorned with paintings of Bowser and what Luigi assumed to be his relatives; he couldn’t help but admire the sublime quality each painting had. One painting had stuck out to him— a large painting of Bowser with a child that resembled him, was that his son?! Bowser has a SON??
How had he never heard- nay SEEN his son?
Luigi had directed his gaze towards the stone floor that was covered in a long red carpet trimmed with gold. He was embarrassed to say the least, what else did he not know about Bowser? More importantly, why didn’t the princess OR Toadette mention this beforehand— the possibility of this happening was there why didn’t they tell him-
“What’s on your mind Peaches?” Bowser asked carefully.
“My ankle is bothering me, that’s all.” He sighed.
“Well then, why don’t you allow me to carry you?”
Luigi paused, the offer was tempting, very tempting. However, he wasn’t desperate enough to sacrifice his dignity, not yet.
“Not unless there’s a massive staircase or something similar.” Luigi stated coldly.
“If you say so.” Bowser chuckled.
At this point they were rounding a corner revealing a large spiral staircase with an occasional window allowing light to flood in.
“...”
Bowser went to open his mouth to say something before Luigi cut him off.
“Don’t. Don’t say anything, just get me up the stairs.”
Bowser smirked before gently scooping Luigi up to carry him bridal style and began the ascent. The trek up the stairs was quiet as Luigi refused to say anything until he was on the ground again, how humiliating.
As they reached the top, where the stairs ended, a hallway lined with doors on either side began. Bowser took two steps into the hallway when Luigi was demanding to be put down.
“Alright, alright stop moving or I’ll drop you- NOT on purpose.”
Luigi relented as Bowser carefully placed him back onto the ground, then he used the crutch to begin hobbling again.
“We’re almost there Peaches, I would have changed your room to a room on the lower levels but I couldn’t get them up to your standards in time. I wasn’t anticipating an opening so soon. However, I digress. If you would like, I could begin getting one of the rooms on a lower floor ready for you.”
“That would be nice- What do you mean ‘an opening’?”
“To bring you here, of course.”
Luigi was dumbfounded, did he seriously not view THIS as KIDNAPPING?!
“...oh…” Luigi couldn’t muster anything else.
“Ah! Here we are- behind this door is where you’ll be staying until the next room is ready.”
Bowser opened the door, ushering Luigi to go in front of him. As soon as Luigi looked into the room he saw a large ornate mirror sitting on a dresser, and the first thing that caught his attention was his own reflection. Specifically his nose, then where his mustache used to sit.
Luigi burst into tears, which quickly turned into full blown wailing. He dropped to the floor and put his face in his hands, barely muffling the sound of his sobs. Bowser froze for a moment before crouching down to Luigi’s level.
“Aw Peaches, is this about your nose again? I really think you look more beautiful with your [new] nose.”
Luigi wailed even louder than Bowser could have ever imagined… times 4. Bowser tensed further, completely lost as to what he should say to help calm the princess down.
“Peaches, why is this bothering you so much, were you cursed by a magician or something?-” Luigi, in between sobs, screamed at Bowser. “MY NOSE IS COMPLETELY NORMAL AND THAT IS NOT WHAT I AM UPSET ABOUT-”
Luigi’s voice cracked and he returned to sobbing into his hands.
“Then what’s got you so-”
“Ahem.” A familiar voice interrupted.
Luigi lifted his head and faced the source of the voice and found none other than Toadette surrounded by koopas.
“King Bowser I can take things from here, I must kindly ask you to leave, now. All of you.” Toadette stated firmly.
Bowser nodded, gathered the koopas, and closed the door behind them.
Luigi had calmed down slightly after being reunited with Toadette.
“Luigi what happened to your dress? Why do you have a crutch? Are you okay?” Toadette rushed to his side helping up and got him situated on a chair.
“I twisted my ankle and got caught in a few bushes, other than that I think I’m okay.” Luigi sniffled.
“Then why are you crying so loudly? Did something else happen?” Toadette was concerned at this point, thinking he hit his head or worse.
“I’m still torn up about my mustache and my ankle is killing me-”
“Are you joking? The ankle I understand, I’ll have someone fetch something cold for it. But the mustache? STILL?! You’ll be able to grow it back once the princess returns.”
“Have you heard from her, or Mario?” Luigi said no longer crying at this point.
“Still nothing from the princess. As for Mario he was searching for you and even came to the castle to plan your rescue. I believe the meeting should have been held a day or so ago…”
“Mario is looking for me?”
“Of course he is. He came to the castle for you not to help us rescue the ‘princess’.”
“I didn’t think he’d notice this soon. I had written to him when I had arrived at the castle.”
“Regardless- He’s going to get us out of here, I don’t know when and I don’t know how but he will. We just have to be calm until then, and maybe try not to get injured and destroy our clothes.”
Luigi nodded, allowing himself to relax when there was a knock at the door. Toadette scowled before getting up and answering the door.
“Bowser is humbly requesting the Princess’ presence in the room down the hall. He said you are also welcome to join if she so desires. What shall I tell him?”
It had been about two months since Luigi had begun his stay at the princess’—well, his— castle until she returned. He and Toadette still weren’t on the best terms but she seemed genuine with her apologies and remorse. He would be able to forgive her in time, since then she’s been his rock and confidant. He adjusted well to the life of the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, maybe even liked it. However, the most difficult part for him was shaking off his chronic nervousness about everything around him.
Luigi was sitting in front of a grand mirror with Toadette showing Luigi different dresses for him to pick from for the Winter Solstice ball that was to be held after sundown. He was barely paying her any mind until Toadette spoke loudly, “Don’t fret Your Highness, you’ll do fine, you only need to look the part and occasionally converse with your guests. Why don’t you pick out which gown you’d like to wear for this evening?”
Luigi nodded, his nerves slightly eased, “You’re right, I would like to wear the blue and pink dress with long gloves and a shawl.” Luigi sighed, standing up and beginning the elaborate process of getting dressed.
Toadette was making the final adjustments to Luigi’s outfit when they heard a knock at the door, informing them it was nearly time for the guests to arrive. Toadette accompanied Luigi to the vast soon-to-be-filled room to sit on his throne until the first guests arrived. Not long after The doors opposite from him began to open and the guests came flooding in. He stood up as the first guests approached; lords and ladies from the Mushroom Kingdom. He stopped paying attention after the Royal family from the BeanBean Kingdom made their entrance. He finally understood why the Princess didn’t want to be here for this, it was terribly boring so far.
He saw the room slowly fill up with people dancing and chatting around the edges, a gentle melody echoing and silencing their chatter. He envied them. He was taken out of his thoughts when all of the guests had been introduced, allowing him to sit down once more to eat and enjoy the party as much as he could.
Another hour had passed before the music was stopped and the announcer gained the attention of everyone once again.
“Thank you all for being here tonight for our Winter Solstice ball. In addition to the Solstice, we’re holding the ball in honor of the new happy couple! We’re thrilled to announce the marriage between our very own Princess Peach of the Mushroom Kingdom and-”
“The King of Koopas, King Bowser.” A large reptilian beast guffawed behind Luigi.
Luigi stiffened, too frightened to react or even look back at him. Bowser took that as an opportunity to grab Luigi, toss him over his shoulder, and make a mad dash toward the nearest exit with minimal resistance, allowing him to disappear into the night.
Luigi snapped out of the shock and began yelling and fighting him to no avail. He continued for about ten minutes before giving up and letting out an irritated huff.
“Where are we going?” Luigi asked, his voice hoarse from screaming. He was doing the best he could to prop himself up, but settled for resting his head on his arm that’s now propped against Bowser’s back.
“Home, of course. We’re going to the docks first. I have a ship waiting for us.” Bowser explained, clearly pleased with himself.
Luigi sighed in defeat, there wasn’t much he could do at the moment. There was no way he could get away from him between blowing his cover and his current attire. Between the heels and puffy fabric he wouldn’t be able to get far. Oh, and Toadette would kill him if something were to happen to the dress.
Bowser noticed Luigi’s change in demeanor. “Don’t act so disappointed Peaches, I told you that I would come back for you. Don’t worry it won’t be much longer until we reach the boat,” he said, failing to lighten the mood.
Luigi remained silent, ignoring his kidnapper, his head swirling with many thoughts and feelings— fear, contempt, exhaustion. The king was blissfully unaware of Luigi’s mental gymnastics and decided to continue, “I made sure to have someone get your little handmaiden— I know you’re very fond of her after all. I have also arranged for us to be housed in close quarters with one another-”
At this point Luigi stopped listening, Toadette was in this with him now? He felt a little better knowing that he was not alone and would still have help maintaining the facade. He couldn’t get caught, especially not by King Boswer. Luigi shuddered, he didn’t want to think about what might happen if the Koopa King were to find out.
“Are you cold Princess?” Bowser paused, placing Luigi down, and taking off his coat to give to him, then offering his hand. Luigi put the coat around him and hesitated before taking his hand. He decided it would be better to try to stay on Bowser’s good side for the time being.
For the first time Bowser and Luigi got a better look at one another and time seemed to stop for just a moment. This was the only time Luigi had seen Bowser outside of aiding his brother in keeping the peace between kingdoms. He was….handsome? Luigi could not tear his eyes away, what about him is so alluring? He was tall, strong, his hair the shade of the most passionate of fires, hands so large to-
“You look more radiant than normal Princess…” Bowser begins. “Even with your swollen nose, you look like a goddess on earth glowing in the light of the new winter moon.”
He was sincere, his eyes were wide and full of an emotion Luigi couldn’t seem to comprehend, as he was still staring helplessly, now flushed. He opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted by rustling behind them. They both turn their heads towards the sound, releasing them from their shared enrapturement.
A bit more rustling occurred before a small figure emerged from the flora; a koopa blissfully unaware at the verbal assault awaiting him.
Bowser’s face contorts to unbridled rage. You could nearly see smoke as he exhaled before going absolutely ballistic, screaming at the koopa for interrupting, paying no mind to Luigi anymore.
Luigi recoiled, disgusted with Bowser now. Concluding that his moment of weakness was nothing more than the winter moonlight. Now fully in control of his thoughts and actions, he decided that now would be a good time to try to escape.
Luigi wasn’t sure which direction to run in but ultimately decided any direction away from the scene unfolding would be best.
Bowser had soon finished his verbal onslaught and took a deep breath to regain his composure. With a calm smile on his face, he turned back towards the Princess but quickly realized she was gone. Panic. Sheer panic flooded his senses.
Luigi had only been running for a few minutes at most however it felt like it had been hours. He would have kept running if he hadn’t tripped over his own foot and twisted his ankle. Luigi cried out and laid there for a second before looking around. His blood ran cold. In an unfortunate turn of events, the direction he chose led him to the very docks he was desperately trying to get away from.
He was quickly surrounded by members of Bowser’s court bombarding him with questions, making his head spin, until a voice roared above theirs, “WHERE IS SHE??”
Silence followed as the crowd backed away from Luigi who was sobbing at this point. Bowser’s face dropped and rushed over to Luigi.
“Peaches?!? Are you okay? What happened?” Bowser’s face was painted with worry and concern.
In between sobs and sniffles Luigi cried, “You were yelling at that poor koopa, my dress is ruined, and I twisted my ankle in these ACCURSED HEELS-” More sobs wracked his form.
Bowser was completely taken aback, “I sincerely apologize Peaches, you’re never emotional so this must be important to you. I’ll have someone fix your dress and-”
Luigi was seeing red. Him? Emotional? He gritted his teeth together, “You listen here, Your Majesty-” Luigi tried to stand up. “I would love to see you go through a day as me without losing your temper at the slightest of inconveniences. You have no right to call ME emotional when you act like a spoiled toddler if something doesn’t go exactly as you had envisioned it.” He was truly riled up at this point, beyond thinking of the where consequences his current actions would lead him.
“Now if you’ll excuse me, I would like to get something to eat and then return to my chambers for the night without you, since you so rudely took me before I could even taste the hors d'oeuvres at the ball.”
Bowser was completely shocked, but quickly smiled, “There's the Peach I know and adore. I’ll have everything arranged for you.”
Luigi scoffed as Bowser picked him up and carried him onto the ship. He took Luigi to his quarters where there was a physician and an attendant waiting for him.
“Your Majesties.” The physician bowed down to Luigi and Bowser. He then waved him off and set Luigi down on the settee against the wall.
“I need you two to check and tend to her ankle and bring her favorite dishes. Once that’s been done leave her be.” Bowser sternly instructed, standing tall.
They bowed to Bowser once more, causing him to turn around and leave, the attendant following not long after.
The physician brought a small table over towards Luigi so he could prop his leg up and allow them to examine his ankle.
It didn’t take the physician long to examine Luigi's now swollen ankle. Telling him that it was sprained and that he needed to stay off his feet for the next couple of weeks. They wrapped Luigi’s foot in a splint, then bid him a farewell, closing the door behind them.
Luigi looked at his foot, frustrated that he ruined any chance of escaping on his own. He couldn’t believe how badly he had messed up in such quick successions. Not fighting or running at the ball, finding a chance to escape and running in the wrong direction, which had caused him to be immobile for a few weeks minimum. He really had hit rock bottom at this point.
Luigi heard a knock at the door and the attendant from before came in with a large tray of food. He pulled a small table over to where Luigi was sitting and set the tray down. He bowed to him then left without a word.
As soon as the door clicked shut Luigi moved the entire table closer and noticed that Bowser had his cooks prepare a several course meal, which he wasted no time eating. Then he moved to the large bed with great care as to not injure himself further.
Luigi was exhausted. His mind replayed the instances of the past evening as he laid down. Neither Princess Peach or Toadette had mentioned an arranged marriage to him, or even hinted at it. Could this be the reason why she had Luigi take her place? Had she found someone, or was this the final straw? Luigi couldn’t say, after all, he didn’t know who he was allegedly marrying. Obviously it wasn’t Bowser considering their past and the fact he literally made an event of him kidnapping the ‘princess’.
Luigi put his hands over his face when his mind shifted to King Bowser. He was so embarrassed with his thoughts and shift in character. How could he have let himself feel that way about an ill-tempered tyrant, even if only for a moment. He couldn’t deny that Bowser was attractive, determined, and confident—all qualities Luigi admired on their own— but his treatment towards others was repulsive at best.  Luigi yawned, maybe he could change that… and with that final incoherent thought he drifted into a dreamless sleep.
Hi and welcome to the Wesker side of tumblr! Happy to have you here <3 I've got a req, either for headcanons or one-shot (preferably the first ^^), a bit unusual but I believe this side of the character is rather unexplored hehe. Which is: sickfic stuff, not for the reader but for the one and only himself. (Would probably be for his captain era, since I don't think the tyrant self can get under the weather but ofc that's up to you here!) Ty for your attention and have a good day/night! - signing,🐍
THANK YOU SO MUCHH!!! You too :) I’ve been a long-time lurker and finally got brave enough to start posting about it LMAO. I like how you think- here’s what I got (I'm so sorry this took so long and I apologize if this wasn’t exactly what you wanted since this is my first time writing a sickfic)
The kind of sickness i see him getting at any point is migraines or a sickness from a weakened immune system due to lack of sleep
Like all of the sleepless or late nights at work came back to bite him in the ass
It would hit him as soon as he woke up the morning after a particularly rough/late-night
His partner would be able to tell something was off as soon as they saw him since he’d look extra tired and worn out
He wouldn’t be used to someone Actually Caring about him so he’d definitely be resistant at first if not through the entire duration of him being sick
His partner is putting their foot down and practically forced him to take a day off and let them take care of him despite him thinking that it’s entirely unnecessary (he’s lying to himself the man can barely keep his eyes open)
They would go the whole nine yards, soup, meds, cold washcloth for his head, etc.
They wouldn’t let him lift a finger and would give a little lecture about his late night work negatively impacting his health over a long period of time
They would do their best to relieve Wesker of whatever he had to so he would have no excuse to do anything but rest
After a while though he'd try to drag the reader back in bed to rest with him, he's incredibly thankful for what they're doing for him and having them close to him always makes him feel at least a little better
It took Luigi about half a day to reach the castle, the sun could be seen along the horizon peaking over soft, lush green hills that seemed to stretch on forever. His attention was on the castle ahead of him. Princess Peach and her handmaiden, Toadette, were already at the gate waiting for him. They wasted no time ushering him inside, leading him to an empty room. Peach walked to the center of the room while Toadette closed and locked the door behind them.
“Alright Princess, I’m here, can you please, tell me what’s going on now?” Luigi said following the princess to the center of the room.
“I need you to attend an upcoming ball for me, I must leave the kingdom posthaste. I’m needed elsewhere, some personal issues have arisen and can no longer be delayed. Toadette will help you make sure you’re well-prepared for the ball and any other situations that may occur in my absence. I will be writing you as soon as I arrive at my first stop, the Flower Kingdom, in Sarasa Land, as I promised to keep you and Toadette updated.”
“Princess, you’re still keeping us in the dark, why can nobody know about what we’re doing?”
She was nervous, so she took a second to think before responding, “Mario would try to stop me, he wouldn’t approve of it. I cannot risk anyone preventing me from doing what must be done. I apologize to both you and Toadette for being so vague, but please, trust me.”
Luigi sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. Going against his better judgment, he decided to trust her. He dropped his stuff onto the ground and turned towards Toadette who was now approaching him.
“Alright, what first?”
Toadette spoke up, “We need to get you fitted to Her Highness’ garments, we have also prepared a wig and a cover for the lower half of your face. Follow me, Sir Luigi, the Princess will wait here for when we’re finished.”
Toadette took him by the hand and hurriedly led Luigi to the Princess' chambers. The garments Luigi needed to try on were lying on the bed, seemingly prepared before Luigi’s arrival. Toadette instructs him to change into the chemise and she’ll take his old clothes to his other belongings and then lace his corset. Luigi went behind a dressing screen in the room and handed Toadette his clothes.
He was left alone to think about what he’d gotten himself into, getting himself in the chemise and stockings. He was beyond embarrassed, he couldn’t bear looking at himself in the mirror on the opposite side of the dressing screen. He knew he would have to at some point but chose to wait until he was in the full disguise. Unfortunately for Luigi, Toadette returned motioning for him to sit and lift his arms. She made quick work getting the corset on him and then promptly lacing it.
“So, what do you know about the ball, Toadette?” Luigi asked, breaking the silence.
“I know that it takes place on the Winter Solstice and it’s held in Her Highness’ honor. And… that we’re going to need to do something about that mustache…”
“Absolutely not, this is where I draw the line-”
“Sir Luigi we don’t have a choice, you can’t use a fan all the time to conceal the lower half of your face.” Toadette was stern.
“I want answers from the princess before we discuss this any further.” Luigi stood up and marched to the door, irritation and fear plastered to his face.
Toadette chased after him, calling out in a vain attempt to get him to slow down or stop. Luigi threw open the doors to the Princess’ bedroom and found she was nowhere to be seen. His face paled and Toadette, panting behind him, was confused until she caught up to him.
“Oh… oh no.” Toadette gasped, her hands covering her mouth.
Luigi turned towards Toadette fighting tears, “Toadette. I’m done playing mind games with you tell me EVERYTHING.” Luigi’s voice cracked.
Toadette shrunk, “All I know is that since she was pulled aside and notified of the ball, she hasn’t been the same. I don’t know what about it has got her so worked up, she said the ball was celebrating the Winter Solstice, however, I doubt it now. I swear I know nothing more, she’s been unusually distant as of late. She was just here! She was here when I dropped off your clothes.” she sounded like she was one second away from crying.
Luigi frantically began looking for the belongings he had brought with him. Gone. All of it was gone.
Luigi is overcome with panic, “She deserted us… She-”
“Sir Luigi, we must get back to the fitting now that the princess is no longer here.” Toadette regained her composure, the gravity of the new situation donning on her.
Luigi did not attempt to resist and followed her to put on the rest of his new clothes.
He looked at himself in the mirror while Toadette laced the back of the bodice and adjusted his wig. It was uncanny how much he resembled the princess.
“Sir Luigi, we must remove your mustache now. Do you know what they’ll do to us if they find out we let the real princess disappear?” Toadette’s tone is stern and serious.
“How are you going to explain the nose?” Luigi scoffed, folding his arms.
“We can say you were stung or bitten by something if anyone asks, now hold still, I don’t wish to nic your face.” She responded quickly.
It seems she had thought everything through, she turned him to face her and began to prep his face for shaving. Luigi was still fighting against it until she brought out a blade. He froze and she took the opportunity to shave his mustache off in two flicks of the wrist.
Luigi whipped around and began mourning once he saw a clean-shaven face staring back at him. He crumpled to the ground clutching his face, silent sobs racking his body.
“I do apologize, Sir Luigi, it had to be done. I’m hoping you will not have to do this for too long. The princess ordered me to make you look the most like her, including mustache removal.” Toadette apologized, her voice was sincere and remorseful.
She took this as her cue to leave as Luigi didn’t respond. After hearing the door click shut, he couldn’t silence his sobs any longer. He moved to the bed, his crying filled the now empty room.
Requesting rules:
No nsfw please (i just don’t feel great about writing it)
Keep things polite, please!!
Try not to be too weird, as if it makes me uncomfortable I prob won’t do it and may respond to it being like ‘Hey, that’s too much for me’ or delete the ask entirely
I would prefer SOME level of detail for the requests if possible since it helps inspire and create better works imo
I’m okay writing fluff, angst, cannon-level violence for RE
I write EXCLUSIVELY gender-neutral readers for those types of requests
As of right now, I’m only doing Wesker x Reader but I’ll update the pinned post when that changes
ABSOLUTELY NO PROMOTING BIGOTRY ON ANY OF MY WORKS OR BLOG
It may take me a minute to get to requests sometimes due to outside obligations and my health so please be patient!!!
It was a windy autumn morning, not enough to be chilly yet. Luigi was still snug in his bed sleeping with his brother in the other room. He was rudely awakened by a loud banging on the door, he did his best to ignore it and hoped his brother would get it. He was sorely mistaken. He sighed dramatically and dragged himself off his bed, through the house then whipped the door open. His irritation was wiped clean off his face when he saw the Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom.
“Oh! Your grace, to what do we owe the honor of your presence?” He stepped aside to let her in and threw a shoe at his brother’s door while she wasn’t looking.
“I’ve come here to ask for your aid Luigi.” she smiled nervously. Luigi noticed that she came unaccompanied by guards or chaperones.
“Of course Princess, what can I do for you?” He was beginning to become concerned.
“I need you to take my place as ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom. I understand that this is a huge favor to ask of you-” she pleaded, “I beg of you Luigi, I shall explain soon. Please, won’t you do it?” She finished, clasping her hands together.
“Why me? Why not Mario or anyone else?” Luigi was absolutely baffled.
“You’re the only one who could easily pass off as me if you wore my clothes and a wig, you’re around my height and body shape after all-”
Luigi held his hand out and winced, “Alright, I get it, your highness. I’ll do it, I expect to be updated consistently.”
The princess relaxed significantly, “Oh thank you Luigi! I also trust you to run the kingdom as I would more than anyone else. Meet me at my castle in two days, under no circumstance do you tell your brother, he mustn’t know yet.”
“What do you expect me to tell him, your highness? I can’t up and leave without a word.”
The princess stood for a moment, her brow furrowed, it was evident she was trying to make up an excuse. She snapped her fingers and looked back to Luigi, “I’ll send a letter calling you away on important business, perhaps an embassy or something similar. I’ll flesh out the details once I get back to my castle. It will arrive tomorrow to give you enough time to tell your brother and be on your way.” Luigi nodded in both acknowledgment and agreement. “I’ll be going now, Luigi. I shall see you in two days' time.” The princess gave Luigi a half-curtsy before walking out the door.
Luigi shut the door behind her and went to check on Mario. He slowly crept towards the door and opened it to be ajar before peeking inside. Mario was still asleep, seemingly unfazed by the events that had transpired. Luigi couldn’t help but smile and suppress a laugh, Mario truly could sleep through a crusade, or any massive-scale disaster.
Luigi quietly shut the door and made his way to the kitchen to get something to eat while he pretended everything was fine. He had never been more confused and stressed than he is now. He had to do his best not to show it lest his brother suspect.
He nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard Mario behind him, “What are you making?”
Luigi clutched his chest for a moment before wordlessly handing Mario a plate already prepared for him. “What’s got you so worked up today Luigi?”
Luigi froze before replying, “You just scared me, I wasn’t paying attention, that’s all.”
Luigi turned towards him, went around him to go sit down, and eat by himself. Mario looked like he wanted to say something but ultimately decided to take the plate and sit down with him.
The rest of the day was quieter than usual, neither brother having much to say until they had decided to pack it in for the night. They offered one another a ‘goodnight’ and parted ways to their rooms, for Luigi sleep did not come easily. His mind was filled with thoughts of the unknown, he was tossing and turning in vain hopes of silencing his anxiety. Eventually, he managed to sleep but it felt as though he didn’t sleep a wink. His eyes snapped open when he heard some loud knocking on his door.
“Luigi, wake up! There’s a letter here for you. It’s from the Princess!” Mario shouted from behind the door. Luigi felt his stomach drop as he got out of bed and slowly approached the door. He swung the door open and took the letter out of Mario’s hand, pushing past him into the kitchen to read it.
It read:
Luigi’s presence is required in the neighboring Flower Kingdom on my behalf. Further information will be provided upon arrival. Please begin the journey as soon as you receive this. This matter is of the utmost importance and urgency.
Warm regards,
Princess Peach
“What’s it say, Luigi?” Mario asked, now sitting at the table with his brother.
“The princess wants me to go to the Flower Kingdom immediately. She said I would be told why when I get there.”
He stood up and made his way back to his room to begin packing. Mario went to the kitchen to start preparing food for Luigi to take with him on his journey to help Luigi take less time to get everything together for his several-day-long trek. Luigi decided to take a few days worth of clothes to make it seem like he was going on a longer journey than he was going on while also not having too much weight slowing him down. He grabbed his bag and went into his and his brother’s shared living space.
“Hey Luigi, did she say how long you would be gone for?”
Luigi snapped towards his direction not realizing he was there, “Nope, I’m assuming she’ll tell me once I get there. I wonder why she wants me to go.”
Mario nodded in agreement, his brow ever-so-slightly furrowed. “Sit down, I’m getting food ready for you to bring with you and a hot meal before you go.”
Luigi smiled, his tiredness evident, “Thanks, Mario.”
