8 months later, the nation’s top cyberbullying experts still haven’t heard from Melania Trump

Eight months ago Melania Trump announced she would take on cyberbullying as first lady of the United States.

Today, some of the nation’s most prominent anti-cyberbullying experts told Mic that neither they nor any of their colleagues in the field had been contacted by Trump or anyone from her staff.

“It’s one of the many mysteries of the 2016 presidential campaign,” Larry Magid, CEO of ConnectSafely, “Why she chose to put herself in a position where she is taking on the very issue that her husband is so publicly guilty of is just bizarre.”

After her stated commitment, Magid told Mic he reached out directly to Trump to work with her on how she could be an effective combatant of cyberbullying. However, he said he heard no response from either the first lady or anyone from her office. Read more (7/7/17)

Republican congressman shoots selfie video in Auschwitz gas chamber

Louisiana Republican congressman Clay Higgins shot video of himself talking about the need for invincible U.S. power—while wandering the gas chamber at Auschwitz.

In his five-minute ramble, Higgins explains the horrors that took place at the camp, where some 1.1m people, mostly Jews, where murdered by the Nazis during World War II. And that “this is why Homeland Security must be squared away, why our military must be invincible.”

Officials at the museum and memorial denounced him for using it as a stage for his politics, pointing out that there are signs asking for silence throughout the former death camp.

People keep talking about President Trump’s behavior eroding international respect and trust for America. But he does get a lot of help from his friends.

To Donald Trump, the world is made up of only two sorts of people, or nations: strong winners whom others respect and fear, and weak losers whom others exploit and laugh at. There is no other alternative.

“At what point does America get demeaned? At what point do they start laughing at us, as a country?” Trump asked Thursday during his major announcement from the White House Rose Garden that the US would be withdrawing from the Paris climate agreement. “We don’t want other leaders and other countries laughing at us anymore. And they won’t be. They won’t be.“

For Trump, there is no such thing as collaboration for mutual gain. Cooperation is a sham. 

Similarly, social insurance is a con. Billionaires can be trusted because they’ve already made their money – presumably by out-exploiting others. 

Dictators are admirable because they’re respected and feared. But democratically-elected prime ministers and presidents need to be shown who’s boss – their hands grabbed in white-knuckled contests of dominance, their bodies shoved aside if they get out in front. And treaties and compacts need to be renegotiated so America wins.

It’s the same at home: Political opponents must be humiliated, White House staffers demeaned (even the Vice President shown his place), the press degraded, recalcitrant judges debased, others intimidated. 

Everything is a giant zero-sum game in which either you win and they lose, or they win and you lose. And if they dare put up a fight, you get even.

This is the personality of a sociopath. 

Trump is now the single most powerful person on the planet, with the ability to order the destruction of the world in just over four minutes. It is necessary to get him out of the White House, peacefully and legally, as quickly as possible.

Well, nice to know this is still a thing.

If you research the web and seek personal accounts of that day’s events, you will notice a significant absence of a description of any airliner flying low over Washington DC.

You will also hear accounts by professional experts concerning the absence of any footage in any camera, the science of  impact and debris and how the Pentagon did not have any evidence supporting the “airline” theory.

It gives no Answers, but Raises Far Too Many Questions; especially as the offices which had all of the accounting for the missing $Trillion Plus from the Defense Department, were “destroyed.”
