It's amazing how much you learn if you (a) put in the work, and (b) go with what you want to paint instead of what you think might be an easy subject to learn (but actually can’t be bothered with).

I'm using HIMI gouache and I love the way it feels. Totally unlike watercolour, but really soft and buttery. It’s so much fun to paint skin with this.

Redesign of Sam Manson from Danny Phantom! Dude, trying to reinterpret her goth outfit was so much harder than I thought it would be lol but I like the two options I came up with.

Which one is your favorite? Left or right? I think I'm leaning right but I do love the fishnets.

A redraw of Valerie Gray from Danny Phantom. Even though Danny x Sam is definitely my end game, I liked Valerie and Danny's relationship and wish it had been explored more.

I interpreted Valerie's headpiece as both a headband and a bandana. I'm not sure which one I like best. What do you guys think? Also, did you wish Valerie had more story?
