Naruto RPG 2: Chidori Vs Rasengan English Patch Released!
Naruto: Path of the Avenger / Naruto RPG 2: Chidori Vs Rasengan (ナルトRPG2 - 千鳥VS螺旋丸) patch by the Anime Game Translations Team
Download the Patch
Gameplay Demo
For what may be the last time: Hey all, Ligudink here! I would like to proudly announce that Naruto: Path of the Avenger is finally here. That's it, people, it's done. Words can't even begin to describe how overjoyed I am to actually see this through to the end considering how intensely difficult these past two years have been on me.
I advise you all to do these things when playing the game:
1) Get to Level 10 before reaching the Hidden Leaf Village. It's a very easy grind and make sure no one in your party dies since they all start out with the exact same EXP progression.
2) Make sure you know what weapons you give your support members as they COULD make a difference in a pinch.
3) Know your formations and make good use of them!
4) Pay good attention to NPC dialogue. They're far from vague, and they may help your progress the story.
5) Play the first game before this. It's 10 hours long and pretty fun at that.
With that outta the way, I want to deeply thank AGT Team's iconic duo Illidan and Phantom for giving me this opportunity in the first place and for aiding me with the hacking and proofreading respectively. A huge thanks goes for my co-translator PSXCraver who handled a very huge chunk of NPC text for me as well as covering in for me when I was on leave due to work. I cannot forget my dear proofreaders and playtesters Mirror Dirror, SpicyMemes101, and LaytonLoztew. Special thanks to LaytonLoztew for providing us with the game's guidebook, aiding in the local play hack, and making the dedicated RetroAchievements pack for those who love a collectathon.
My biggest thanks however will go to my cool people at the AGT Server whom I had the pleasure to chat with, befriend, and chill around with. They always joked around with "RPG2 when" and I always pulled a Miyamoto on them. Thank you all for your patience and for believing in me.
With this game finally released, it is not known what the next step for me will be, but I will look forward to every other project that AGT has going on forward, and I hope you guys do the same. If you're a translator in need of a team to help you work on the project you've always dreamt of working on, just shoot the server a message, you're always welcome. If you're a hacker, connect with fellow hackers and form a bond with translators. If you're an anime fan who wants to follow up on these games and knowledgeable in the source material, we are always in need of proofreaders/playtesters to make sure our game runs smoothly and our script is well localized!
With that I bid you all adieu.
Into the dreams of tomorrow, let's fly away!
Ligudink

I posted this on my twitter so it only is fair to post it here, a little preview of game mechanic stuff I've been working on. (everything still placeholder graphics since it's the debug room) ^^b took a while to make the movable platforms work well with a pushable block (like making rpg maker know when the block is ontop or suppose to be behind the platform took a lot of random workarounds OTL), this isn't that big update post I want to do but I think it's fine to show the little things I've been doing rather than going away for many years again. ^^b hope everyone is having a nice Saturday!!!

DDJ 6 - Week 1
Five years ago I participated in the first Dream Diary Jam, making the first version of Manda no Yume. This year I decided to participate again, but with an entirely new Yume Nikki fangame.
Instead of a Manda update, I thought it would be fun to start from scratch with a new entry. Its been five years, so I'm wondering how it will compare to the first entry.
In 2018 I entered the jam but didn't get very far. If I don't end up finishing it this year then I'll either finish it later or port some of the content over to Manda in the future.
The protagonist of this game is Aubriette. I don't have much to add on her yet, but she clearly likes books.
Aubriette's room is a green refuge from the everlasting rain outside. Will it ever stop? Thunderstorms are said to take out the power from time to time, maybe we should sleep through it.
Along the railroad track is a mine field, thankfully it has already been swept.
I wonder where these pipes lead. Or are they lead pipes?
I didn't get as much done in this first week as I wanted, but I'm further along than I ever was in 2018. I started planning back in January, so I have a bunch of ideas and world sketches written down to get through. I have most of the effects planned out, but I'll be posting about those in a later week.

I Played: Verloren, Living Playground: The Witch's Puppets
I've been meaning to play the games of some cool rpgmaker game devs I've met since making my own game, so today I played VERLOREN and LIVING PLAYGROUND: THE WITCH'S PUPPETS.
I literally own merch of one of these games, so I think its beyond time I give them a try. I thought I would post some thoughts + a recommendation to check these games/devs out too.
VERLOREN
Fav. Characters: Vladimir
Playtime: ~1 hour
Version: 0.03 DEMO
https://gamejolt.com/games/Verloren/486793
@choko-flan
Chris finds himself cold and alone in a void - but Vlad, self-proclaimed weirdo and straight-up LAD, soon accompanies on our quest for the key out.
While dialogue-heavy isn't my loaf of bread, I'm interested in seeing how Chris & Vlad's relationship changes over the course of the full game. I'm also looking forward to more locales like the dreamy (and tasty) sweets dimension.
I liked the arcade mini-game, especially how it resembled an actual arcade game. I let Vlad beat it for me to get the authentic experience.
While it mostly stems from my own impatience, I did feel some back-and-forths with Vlad dragged on a smidge. I think the planned character portraits will help a lot, as well with the difficulty in keeping track of who is speaking.
I find myself asking the essential questions: WHO is Vlad? WHY is Vlad? But what no one ever asks: HOW is Vlad?
While a short and unfinished demo, I'm looking forward to seeing more of Verloren in the future :) VLAD/10
LIVING PLAYGROUND: THE WITCH'S PUPPETS
Fav. Characters: Haze, STRONG PICKLE
Playtime: 2.5 hours
Version: 1.0.1
https://gamejolt.com/games/the-witchs-puppets/425031
@game-meak
I find myself asking the essential questions: WHO is STRONG PICKLE?
Not knowing anything going into this (and having not played the original), I was pleasantly surprised (with Verloren as well) that I was into it as much as I was.
Tony, Pablo, and Octavio (or as us Living Playground-heads would say: Slide, Swing Set, and Monkey Bars) are siblings in a world of witchery and geese. Two witches are really good friends, and our heroes are sent into pocket dimensions for stealing without permission.
I liked the game show section (maybe I missed references with the other contestants), I thought it was a fun bit.
I am kind of concerned that I saw the chalkboard and thought 'oh hell yeah, hangman!'
I could definitely tell at a certain point that this game's events were of/inspired by personal experiences, so I wasn't surprised to see that in the post-mortem. The contrast in theme over time is shocking, how a character treats the siblings differently as the game progresses. I felt that I had maybe brushed off earlier signs of this change, just like a certain character did?
I do think it would have been cool to pick a side in the conflict and get a different ending, but if it’s based off personal experience then I suppose that wouldn't quite work out.
When Pablo laid there like a peanuts character, I felt that - when STRONG PICKLE told me to wash my hands, I felt that.
The included walkthrough proved vital for my playthrough, because I'm an idiot. I searched it out after thinking I was stuck when placing gems on pedestals, not knowing I could remove a gem if it wasn't correctly placed and that I didn't need a gem for the middle pedestal.
I would have probably been stuck for ages looking for items if I hadn't checked with the guide occasionally, and for that I salute this pdf document.
I did get soft locked at a point: Choosing 'O' before 'P' in the hangman puzzle prevents 'P' from being usable. A typo in the eventing is the culprit, but of course I happened to run into it naturally.
I also was curious about the slide puzzle lag, so I looked into it. I always feel a slight guilt from opening people's games with the intent to fix things without being asked - but I can't help myself.
Each unsolved piece is checked each frame if it has been solved by comparing positions of the solution spot and the tile's current spot. What I would do is have each tile check if its solved only after being pushed. I went ahead and modified it myself just for fun (so I can get the speedrun world record >:]), but I noticed something about this puzzle while doing this:
I didn't notice while playing that the puzzle pieces can be pushed on top of each other. That's kind of weird. You can push the pieces out onto the water or stack them together (I did try to 'automatically' solve the puzzle by stacking them all up and pushing the stack into each space, can't be done lol). What an odd decision, right?
Oh.
I'm guessing the puzzle isn't entirely reset on pumpkin interact because it would be real annoying to mispush the last piece and have to reset the whole thing, but with this puzzle design it means it is possible to softlock when doing this piece last. I'm not sure if the lack of collision is meant as a solution to this exact issue, but I thought it was interesting. In my build I added collision to the tiles and just made it so one of the adjacent tiles to the inner one always gets reset.
With some minor bugs and issues abound, Living Playground: The Witch's Puppets surprised me. While I'm not very attached to the main 3, I did feel for the 2. I relied on the walkthrough a bit much, but I had a good time. STRONG PICKLE/10

Manda no Yume v0.04 Update
Manda no Yume v0.04 has been released!
This update turned out to be another refresh of the entire game. Without a time constraint I was able to put a lot of work into the game's foundation.
This version is light on content so that I'm not spread too thin on fixing issues. Once a stable build has been reached, I plan to add some more content.

GameJolt *GameJolt integration has been added with this update, consider checking it out.

I can feel in my heart that I will not make much within the next 5 days, so I’ve decided to just upload what I have at this point to the Dream Diary Jam. It’s nothing too fancy, mostly still me attempting to wrangle RMVX Ace again, but it’s updated!
Now Featuring:
MC with an Actual Name
The game now informs you when you’ve gotten something (!!!)
5 ADAPT (effects)
3 Hub Worlds
4 additional nested worlds
An additional window theme
There’s still no end state, though. Thank you for checking it out, though!

It’s time for another Dream Diary Jam!
Yume Nikki’s 16th anniversary is this year. To celebrate, we’re hosting a game jam where participants make a Yume Nikki fangame in 6 weeks. You can work in whatever engine you’d like with however many people you’d like, as long as you turn it in by June 26th, 2020! You can see all the rules (don’t worry, they’re short) here on itch.io. 💕
Here are the currently accepted types of entries:
A Traditional Yume Nikki Fangames - These games are just like Yume Nikki, except with different protagonist & worlds and sometimes a few game mechanics changed up. They’re like sequels or spiritual successors to the original game in lieu of an actual Yume Nikki update. Get as experimental as you’d like. Examples of these games include .flow, Yume 2kki, Lcd Dem, and Answered Prayers.
An Actual Fangame of Yume Nikki - These games use the characters and setting of the original game and make a new game with them in it. They’re like fanfiction, except with a lot more programming. You can make anything from a JRPG to a dating sim for this one, as long as it features the cast of Yume Nikki. Examples of these games include NASU Plus, Memories of Replica, Dream Kombat, and Yume Nikki Hazard.
An update to a previous submission - Did you enter a game in Dream Diary Jam 1, 2, or 3 and want to make an update on it? Now’s your chance! You can take this option even if you’ve been working off jam on your game, as long as you provide a substantial update.
We have two OPTIONAL themes this year: Nostalgia and fungi/mushrooms. You can incorporate one or both of them into your game any way you’d like (as the premise, as the mood, as an effect or world, etc.), or you can choose not to! Have fun and get creative. c:
Come sign up on itch.io if you’d like to participate, & check out the discord if you’re feeling social! Feel free to send in questions to this blog & on the itch.io page, and have a good time.
See you soon, dreamers!

agricultura update 08
a solarpunk farming sim
01) holly arrives at Yatakang’s west station! also known as “the city of rivers”, Yatakang has a reputation for its unique public transportation – people hail water taxis! west station in particular is a popular stop point for passengers to board and be ferried throughout the maze-like tributaries and waterways of this trendy, welcoming metropolis
02) AgSec is a company officially licensed by the government of Huanjing to be a supplier of seeds and receiver of produce for the nation’s farmers. the robot who works behind the register seems friendly, if a little goofy. could holly be interested in making friends with him?

The Dream Diary Development Discord is now open!
After Dream Diary Jam, many of us wanted to continue to hang out and work on games both Yume Nikki related and non-Yume Nikki relate together. Thus, this discord was made for everyone who is making a Yume Nikki fangame, making any sort of game, or just likes watching people make progress on games. We’ve got boards dedicated to showing off games, talking about other’s games, finding & sharing resources, critique, etc. Feel free to take a peak! :D

So I started checking Manda no Yume out and I just begun but I’m really loving this Yume Nikki fangame! It’s very distinct from most fangames, especially on its mechanics. Like you can customize and accessorize the protagonist greatly (like, HUNDREDS of hairstyles, and different pieces of clothing you can combine).
Also the maps. You can actually have full views of the maps (though it depends on how much you’ve explored it) with zooming and al!
I’m really looking forward to see more from this game–
Wait a minute– iS THAT–

agricultura (update 06)
a solarpunk farming sim
the northern and eastern sides of capsule 16 have been finished! the farm is laid out like a circuit, and each side of the central building (north, east, south, west) has an exit. (for reference, i’ve included all four, even though south and west are not new.)
