alear in smash bros is an interesting discussion to me cause i feel alear is the perfect solution to smash fans issues with fire emblem by combining all the lords into one character but itd HAVE to be for a smash reboot.

alear is a perfect REBOOT whole new smash roster character. potentially replacing marth

my two takes on an fe roster for a smash reboot would be

marth, lyn, ike, robin, edelgard (represents every major era of fire emblem with one character each. the first three are self explanatory, robin is the most unique 3ds choice for awakening and how important it is, and while im a golden deer for life i think nintendo would go with edelgard based on how advertised and prominent she was for 3h's pre release time. id LOVE the 3h lords trio pokemon trainer style though)

alear, robin, edelgard, dimitri, claude (absolutely goes ham with being entirely new and different, focusing on the newest parts of the series)

it really depends on if a smash reboot wants to represent ALL of fire emblem or lock in on the most popular parts. bcuz roster 2 is very lacking in its game variety but i think it geniunely is so Different and new that it could actually fit for a smash reboot i feel

i just dont think you can really have both marth And alear in the same roster honestly, theyre both so interconnected. i feel like you either ignore engage and stick with the same old or you go absolutely nuts with engage. i think marth would have to be a main part of alear's moveset, but with some other emblems thrown in for special moves and grabs

however i will sigh and lower any and all hopes of corrin being in a smash reboot. maybe they can be like alear's side b with the pin move.

as a hsr lover who doesnt enjoy genshins gameplay at all i feel SO robbed with the recent updates. u mean genshin gets this rly cute cow girl wrestler thats super animated and cute and pretty and fun, and the fandom doesnt even LIKE HER???

and then all we get in hsr is like. this very generic shirtless buff dude that looks identical to like 300 other fictional characters. in a game that already focuses 90% of its screentime on the men and ignores its women.

it kinda makes me sad that every jrpg known to man has like EVERY game on switch like u got xenoblade 1-3 and that other one u got all the bad final fantasy games and then final fantasy 9, you got tales of vesperia, tales of llyod from smash flash 2, tales of bologna, you got persona 3 and 4 and 5 and 17, you got dragon quest 57 youve got octoprovolone cheese traveler youve got evrtything else

but then if you dare bring up to intelligent systems "hey why not port the older fire emblem games to switch? its what everyone else would do, and you just adverised them in engage but these games mostly cant be obtained without emulation" the entire company immediately goes

HSR crack theory but also kinda serious theory: Masked Fool Cipher

Okay so on paper this makes no sense because Amphoreus is VERY blatantly disconnected from the rest of Honkai Star Rail's world.

But honestly- I kinda feel like if ANY character could break that rule, it would be Sparkle. Not only has she flat out traveled to another Hoyo game and caused chaos and impacts on its lore, but also like

Sparkle KNOWS about Amphoreus! Somehow! Even the Genius Society didn't know, but good ol Sparkle somehow has everything wrapped around her finger

I feel as if Sparkle is a character that really needs another big event. She kinda had her screen time shafted in favor of other Penacony characters (I wanted to see more Acheron and Sparkle so badly but they kept forcing us to look at the men 😭), but I feel like after her events in HI3, shes kinda become too important to just do so... little

Now, Cipher! She is a character that has still not appeared proper, only mentioned or teased, and WOW I CANT WAIT FOR HER but the main thing we know about her is that she possesses a Coreflame, specifically Zagreus's Coreflame.

Zagreus is all about chaos and disorder, trickery and such. The bits we do know about Cipher is that shes a thief, and seems to be lazing about on her duties as a Chrysos Heir.

But.. this description of Zagreus is all to familiar imo

It sounds a LOT like the Masked Fools to me. Trickery and chaos!

I think Cipher has a lot of similarity to Sparkle from the little bit we know of her- and honestly, I think that goes a bit further from the fact Sparkle knows of Amphoreus.

My conspiracy theory melts down to this:

-Cipher has somehow made contact with the outside world, despite Amphoreus strictly making that forbidden. She does it in the name of trickery and chaos, as her Coreflame would suggest, as its exactly what Amphoreus doesn't want

-Cipher has made contact with Sparkle, or another member of The Masked Fools, in the name of spreading chaos, and has become a member. While Sparkle messes up Penacony and Sampo messes up Belobog, Cipher messes with Amphoreus

-Cipher could potentially be an antagonistic figure, or at the least someone who causes lots of problems for us for the humor of it

-This could lead in to Sparkle making an appearance on Amphoreus, explaining why she doesn't have that much prescence in Penacony despite how built up she is

-???????

-Toxic yuri between Cipher and Sparkle being major antagonists in the Amphoreus arc

it really sucks its become a huge trend to hate three houses lately (started on reddit and spread everywhere else which says a lot) cuz ive always felt like three houses' massive success was such a punch in the face to bad video game critics and that whole toxic bunch

cuz all the gaming industry cares about modern day is visuals, graphics, the framerates and all that boring stuff. if your game doesnt have the most detailed in depth rendered trees then its a 6/10 at most

so for fire emblem three houses to walk in with its gamecube esque graphics and sell 4 million+ units, have a huge fandom thats still super active to this day, and demolish its graphically superior sequel, is just the biggest punch in the face to IGN and every video game critic and its AWESOMEEE

but now the internets all boring and everyones a contrarian and saying "achktually three houses is BAD and a SLOG and engage is better because THA GRAPHICS" and yadayada boriiiiing

as a pokemon fan i love the success story of three houses so much ive had to hear the same "legends arceus and sv are bad bcuz visuals!!!" SO many times its exhausting

like!!! all ur doing is reinforcing game critics bad opinions bcuz ur salty about a good game being popular!!!!!! shut upppppp!!! all ur doing is pushing the kinda mindset that makes people defend the ps5 pro's $700 pricetag! you are so toxic and unhealthy for the whole video game industry and also an absolute coward

three houses is so fantastic and i hope the hate trend dies and all the graphics bros shut up very soon, i love u forever three houses. engage is great too i like that game but yeah visuals are NOTHING to how good a game is btw

ok like nintendo direct wishlist but with the mindset of "its been almost 10 months since the last proper direct and 2024 was primarily mario and zelda without any of nintendos other main series appearing" so i am raising my expectations but also hoping for a good amount of variety

-FIRE EMBLEM!!! idc if its a fe4 remake or another remake or a new game i just need a third fire emblem game on switch or a first fe game on switch 2 please i need something to break the parallel ice between 3h and engage (love both those games so much though i just want their rivalry to end with another game avaliable)

-KIRBY its been a shockingly long time since kirby's had news!! like really! im shocked theres not some kirby game for the end of the switch 1, so im expecting Something for the switch 2

-ARMS 2 IM BEGGING YOU LET IT HAPPEN PLEASE

-any sort of themes, customization, and just personality for the console. a lot of customization with themes music folders and whatnot would be a dream (also nintendo badge arcade 2 + swapnote 2 pls)

-kid icarus. i dont want sakurais next game to be smash. i want him to take a break from smash. a new kid icarus or uprising port using the joycon mouse controls would be perfection

-some sorta FUN console gimmick showing game like nintendo land or wii sports!

-a purple and teal switch 2.

-nintendo crossovers in mario kart 9 but also mario rpgs in mario kart 9. i want both. u have had enough time to make both nintendo. give me vivian and marth

-dragon ball sparking zero is the only third party i really care to see here. we've had WAYY too many partner showcases lately and its been awful, lets have a NINTENDO direct please!! keep it light on the third parties! (though sonic is always welcome to show up)

-gamecube and ds on NSO. maybe wii but i wont expect that much. but also the far off dream of "let us download the games bcuz we're getting to bigger file sizes let us just snatch our favorites for our switch home menu seperately from the NSO app please"

-and last but not least ANIMAL CROSSING. i think its time. i want a game thats more akin to new leaf and parallels new horizons, with a much bigger single player focus! i like new horizons but we need a really good animal crossing game, and with the massive success of ACNH thatd be an amazing way to boost the consoles debut

also always a dream is a nintendo focused smash reboot with trophies and a better story mode but im not expecting (or really wanting) smash that early. please dont make another ultimate i beg of you

but yeah!!! its been ages without proper nintendo news aside from the intial switch 2 tease. this list is both my direct hopes but also my "first two years of the switch 2 hopes". im not expecting EVERYTHING here but if three or more things could happen in the first two years id be really happy

its kinda wild to me that pokemon's devs will make two amazing near open world games at the same time in only 3 years and then be immediately ready to start working on legends z-a which is already looking like one of the best pokemon games, and people will call them lazy bcuz theyre mad about how the visuals look

but then people will praise and adore smash bros when that game literally replaced its main collectible with pngs they took off of google, and has left the returning characters with their same outdated movesets from the n64 and gamecube, but everyone is too busy gargling sakurai's ball sweat and hyping up the disney copyright to care or ever criticize the game ever

What if there was a Pokemon Legends game based off of Pokemon Dream World where Dr. Fennel was a main character and the main exploration of the game was through the dreams of people and Pokemon kinda like Mario & Luigi: Dream Team?
