i usually think those internet things like "why pokemon is actually dark and scary and nightmare nightmare nightmare" are silly but in the case of willy wonka that guy was an actual freak and son of a gun. incredibly distressing movie in and of itself and to make matters worse there are also oompah loompahs there to cart off wonka's broken guests with ritualized verse

He definitely remembers Kup! He thinks his mama is just off on another ‘trip’ and leaving him in the care of others again, he misses him though.

The core appeal of Willy Wonka is that he's a nigh-omnipotent maniac who uses his near limitless powers over reality to trick shitty people into killing themselves. You can't make him the protagonist of a whimsical coming of age tale - you have to treat him like Jason Voorhees, or Dracula, or any other horror icon. Give him some new victims and new interesting kills and set him loose, that's all audiences want.

Oh my gosh. I just found this website that walks you though creating a believable society. It breaks each facet down into individual questions and makes it so simple! It seems really helpful for worldbuilding!

Misc Ultra Magnus + other kitties notes and ideas

Ultra Magnus is usually a very quiet cat, but on rare occasions he will meow very VERY quietly.

Ultra Magnus loves to rub up against Ravage’s and Rung’s legs, and will sit on them should they sit on any of the couches or chairs.

Although it took a small while, Magnus is very fond of Orion, as he is strong enough to cradle him like a baby. However, Mags gets nervous around Prowl.

As Minimus, he is the smallest cat in the shelter. Rung puts him in his shirt pocket.

Tailgate will sometimes lay down between Magnus’s “towers” and sink into his fur, much to Mags’ and Cyclonus’s alarm.

Before locking up for the night, Rung will make sure Magnus and Brainstorm are in the same room, as the number of incidents are less when Mags is there.

Ultra Magnus does that little wind up dance before jumping onto anything.

One time, Ravage and Rung got snowed into the cat shelter. When Ravage went to sleep on the couch, they got woken up by the fact they were suffocating from Magnus sleeping on their chest, so they rolled over onto their side and went back to sleep hugging him. That was the happiest Mags had ever been in his life so far.

Rodimus will try to steal Mag’s food and Mags will sometimes let him. Rodimus gets a lil fat because of this, but Rung separated them during mealtimes and the problem was solved.

Rung will roll Magnus around like bread dough. It is very enriching for the both of them.

Magnus will hold anything you put in his arms. Ravage will make tiny props and pose him with them for his MySpace page.

At one point, someone was close to adopting Magnus, but then he shedded into Minimus the next day. They backed out of the deal.

Magnus once had catnip courtesy of Swerve, and all he did was roll around and rub his face against the other cats. He wouldn’t leave his cat tree spot for a day afterwards.
