“Additive Casting”, On the cusp of dreams becoming reality, concerns brew in anticipation. This piece is based on the shock of change becoming tangible, and seeks to highlight anxieties within the patchwork quilt of my medical transition. ‘Additive Casting’ focuses on the pressures of self-actualization in the process of alteration. The doubt and unreality inherent to the power within tangible manifestations of physical qualities. As potential energy becomes kinetic energy, I feel a rush wash over my senses and my body contorts beautifully.
