ISLAND STORE 2010-2012 with Antti Asplund.

Antti Asplund and Youth vs. Future (YVSF) are opening their new concept store called Island in Iso Roobertinkatu 38 in Punavuori on 29th of october 2010. Island is a collective imaginarium combining both brands' stories and their dark yet hopeful mind sceneries. The store is the new home for both Asplund's and YVSF's own collections as well as their collaborative Aviary line. From Island you can also find the new in-store collection and work of visiting talents.

"The first chapter of the project was born quickly after sudden tragedy that took place in Helsinki Zoo Korkeasaari. All 16 flamingos were found dead after a fox found his way to their haw and executed the birds."

In the Summer of 1841 beautiful Mary Rogers was found dead in the Hudson river, drowned in her own tears. In the Autumn of 2010 Mary Rogers is a jewellery collection designed by Youth vs. Future.

Inspired by unbelief!  Youth vs. Future is a Helsinki-based label founded in 2006 by Laura Vartio and Janni Hyvarinen. YVSF sells handmade, nicle-free jewelry and accessories.
