it’s nearing the end of your stay and what better way than to culminate it with a little friendsgiving over a bonfire. all the snacks and hot chocolate have been packed. and of course, no one forgot the booze. i heard somebody brought a board game - or was it a puzzle? nonetheless, i’m sure the gang will find a way to spice up the evening. the night is young and freezing so huddle up close to the fire with the people you’re most thankful for. don’t forget to bundle up !!

welcome to waitsfield! you’ve just arrived at the house you’ll be staying in over the thanksgiving weekend. after depositing your bags to your rooms, you’re ready for a new adventure  — board games, a puzzle, helping out in the kitchen, or making fancy cocktails at 8 in the morning, the list is endless. just make sure not to make too much of a mess. but with the bennington babes, you can most definitely sense a lot of fun ( and trouble ) brewing in the crisp fall air.

pack your bags and roadtrip snacks, we’re going to waitsfield for thanksgiving!

this trip was a long time in planning and luckily, you all made it work despite busy schedules. surviving the 5-hour roadtrip without any major hitches, you find that the crisp autumn air and crunching leaves transport you to an entirely different place. from the hectic streets of new york, you find yourself in a small town where you can finally catch your breath or want to come running back to the city. to some, this place is new, a cute little weekend vacation. for some, it’s home. and to others, it’s a place they want to avoid at all costs. 

this weekend is finally a chance for some much needed rest and relaxation, but knowing the gang, who knows what shenanigans they’re gonna get get themselves into. don’t forget to check out the following places as recommended by the official waitsfield tourist guidebook !!

ooc: our third dash event is gonna run from november 16 - november 30. the setting of these threads will be in waitsfield, vermont! this is a three part post (1) official announcement as detailed above, (2) temporary locations, and (3) house arrangements. you’re free to continue non-event threads but event threads are highly encouraged! can’t wait to see your threads, love you all xoxo

temporary locations

mary anne’s bakery + cafe ; open from 7am to 7pm. this little bakery is the most popular in the whole town. find yourself the perfect pie from their wide range — pumpkin, pecan, and blueberry are the top picks, just saying.  mary anne’s a little grumpy but she’s known to give you a whole loaf of sourdough when you get on her good side. this little cafe overlooks a scenic lake so come early if you’d like to nab a table!

waitsfield park ; it’s getting a little chilly but it’s still warm enough for a picnic or a walk so bundle up! the small park is filled with trees which equals crunchy leaves. there are a few benches perfect for reading a good book and the little bridge perfect for a stroll with that special someone. you can also volunteer to rake the leaves (and jump into your pile), just return the rakes to the shed.  

bellsprout botanicals ; welcome to bellsprout botanicals, a garden and greenhouse for all your plant needs! get your organic vegetables, fresh bouquets, and hard to come by plants from this new local business. the interior of the greenhouse has a second much cooler room with hammocks and lawn chairs for some much needed r&r. the perfect little place for a date  — but don’t forget to buy a plant or five. 

sage’s studio ; open from 9am - 8pm. sage’s studio is a relatively new addition to waitsfield. come by if you’d like some ceramic for your home in new york 9or your gracious waitsfield hosts). or better yet, take a pottery class! the three day course would be perfect for your short weekend trip. go solo, with a partner, or drag your whole group into it! you’re sure to come home with a new bowl, plate, or whatever you so choose!

waitsfield drive-in theater ; open from 7pm-10pm. this drive in theater has been in waitsfield since the 60s. pretty sure one of you brought your cars so head over to the theater for a relaxing night. checkout the film list on their instagram page. make sure to come by before they close for the winter. i heard they’re playing quite a few classics over thanksgiving weekend.

the message has been in your groupchat inbox for a week now. it’s been silent for a while now so a party seems quite exciting discounting the drunken shenanigans bound to happen. as you’re scrounging for your halloween costume in your closet ( or at the thriftshop down the corner ) you can’t help but think of what’s gonna go down — apple bobbing? pumpkin carving? tequila shots? the night is full of possibilities.

and word around the block is that someone’s back in bennington. his return is still a little hush hush, so will he be at the party? you gotta come over to find out.

guess what, guys?? we are turning two months tomorrow !! okay but we’re absolutely, truly in love with kyle / ying yue !! it’s obvious that you put a lot of thought and research into her background. we really don’t know what to say except that we love everything about her--her family history, her dual persona, the fact that she and her ex met in high school. we can’t wait to see kyle come to terms with herself and maybe even cause a little trouble down in bennington !!

you read the message on your phone, shaking your head and wondering whether this time the celebration will be as messy and chaotic as the last one. after all, it’s not like the events leading up to this party have been gracious. it’s been about a week and a half since roman left new york. it was swift and quick, something about a promotion and a new office at silicon valley. nobody really mentions it, but it lends the air an aura of unrest, like a piercing reminder that things are not the same anymore. 

there’s also the matter of the birthday celebrants’ increasingly complicated social lives. are raph and eddie on rocky waters? will soph and murph finally settle their relationship status? is lucy distracting herself with robin so she doesn’t have to deal with the lingering feelings she has for roman? on top of that, enter alex, leo, and kyle. who knows what trouble these three could stir up. you’re not sure what aster would say, but you’ve got a feeling that the stars predict chaos for tonight.

this took us a while to answer, but kyle could definitely have a child with their ex partner !! i, personally, think it is such an interesting take on the character and would absolutely love to see it.
