A few years ago, I went to an anatomy conference and they had a huge 3D printed vampire skull, and these thoughts have been on my mind ever since I saw the teeth up-close.Ā
The under-utilized potential for this bothers me a lotā¦ like in moviesā¦ itās just bite and done!
What happened to ritual shaving or elaborate skin engraving?
I know a lot of artists/writers follow meā¦. can you guys do Vampires a solid?

I love Chad. Heās so sweet and good-natured. I enjoyed his impression of the necromancer, as it was spot on and made me chortle uncontrollably. I also love that the moment he heads to the Salvatore School he mentions Hope as being the champion, listing all of her good points as a hype man. Iām upset that he was written off.
why is no one talking about chad??

Thereās already multiple posts about this but hereās another one. Part of the fandom is (rightfully) upset about the H*ndon kiss from last nightās episode. Hereās why I was annoyed about the whole thing.
1. The inconsistency of the show. Literally in the episode before, which originally both episodes were going to be in the same season, Hope said she wasnāt going to try to kiss Josie awake because of lack of consent. Yes Hope and Landon are dating but consent isnāt a default in a relationship. Why would the writerās bring up consent as an issue just to ignore in the next episode. Why bring it up if youāre not going to fully commit to statement and ignore it in the next episode.
2. Some people do find the true loveās kiss trope problematic, not just because of the consent issue. The idea that a manās love is and should be the most important thing for a girl is tiresome. DIsney has gotten a ton of backlash for itās use of it in the past. Itās the reason Frozen explicitly subvert the trope. Itās kinda annoying that shows that market themselves asĀ ādaring to defyā and as feminist still use these old sexist tropes ( Iām also thinking about the Flash/Supergirlmusical cross over episode)
There could of been other ways to wake up Hope without making it about a boy, honestly it seems like lazy writing. The show doesnāt get to call itself progressive without actually being progressive. Thereās nothing super wrong about using these tropes but only if the creators are willing to acknowledge the problems and flip flop on the issues.Ā Ā

I groaned the moment I saw that scene, ācause Iām just not buying it. Itās so overrated. Why would you make him her ātrue loveā when everyone else literally has better chemistry with her than him.
Landon waking her up with true loves kiss? Seriously???? WHEN ARE THEY BREAKING UP

Reason no. 1 why Pokemon contests are better than Pokemon showcases:
Male characters, like Kenny, are regularly shown performing in contests. There has never been a male performer in showcases, not even an unimportant character.

This is well-thought out.
Headcanons for Pokemon Contests
Pokemon Contests a competition that is popular in many regions. Their most famous in Hoenn and Sinnoh, but there are known to be Contests in Kanto and Johto as well. Coordinators can be any gender. They donāt follow harsh restrictions like Performers and Idols, although they can become idols as well.
Coordinators do focus on battles. At least the ones who want to make a living out of it. They train hard, and they focus on making their battles beautiful. This is evident in battles outside of Contests. Youāll never feel so embarrassed as if you not only lose to your opponent, but they make it look effortless and pretty. Despite their training in battles itās a common thought that Coordinators canāt battle to save their lives.
Pokemon Contests have two to four rounds per contests: An initial appeal (optional), the main appeal, and the battle round(s). The initial appeal is an optional round Ā where the pokemon walks around the stage and is judged on their appearance and grooming.
The main appeal is a combination of moves put together in a routine. Depending on the contest Coordinators may use one or two pokemon. These appeals mainly focus on the pokemon with the Coordinator in the background. Some fanshave a problem if the Coordinator tries to claim part of the spotlight, claiming that they should be more focused on showing off their pokemon than trying to take the spotlight for themselves.
Those who make it past the main appeal will enter the battle round(s). The number of which depends on the size of the Contest. These battles are less about winning the battle and more about showing off your pokemon. That being said, you canāt show off your pokemon if it has fainted.
There are five categories to Contests: Cute, Clever, Beauty, Tough, and Cool. It isnāt uncommon for a Coordinator to focus on one or two categories and base their pokemonās moves around those categories. Some Contests donāt acknowledge categories, and instead urge Coordinators take a more creative approach to their appeals. While rather new, they have been growing in popularity. There seems to be a divide between Contest fans on which type is better.
The winner of Contests gets that Contestās ribbon, and a monetary award. Five ribbons (regardless on if its a Contest with a category or not) from a specific region, and you can participate in the Grand Festival of the region. Winning that will gain one fame and job offers of different kinds.
Some Coordinators choose not to compete in the Grand Festival in part because it is also the only contest type that has an entrance fee. Instead they compete in regular Contests, sometimes revisiting the same hall multiple times in a season. Usually the Contest Halls that hold Contests more than once a season require a minimum number of ribbons to compete in them, and if they are a Contest Hall that still uses categories the ribbons need to be in the same category that youāre trying to enter.
It isnāt uncommon for Coordinators to form two person units. They mainly focus on their solo work as most Contests are solo performances. However, there are a few Contests that are made specifically for these units. Ā As units they mainly do exhibitions together, however, if they go the idol route they also hold concerts, and do other jobs together.
Since the start of the Wallace Cup (the first Interregional Contest), there have been several attempts to emulate this type of Contest, however, the amount of money and planning that goes into it causes most to fail before they start.

Seeing terfs demonizing Elliot Page coming out and saying "we lost a lesbian" is an important reminder that terfs target trans men with their rhetoric too. They don't exclude one group in specific when it comes to trans people, they legitimately think being trans is a danger to everyone involved.
Cis lgbt are encouraged to reblog this.

Imagine: Its 2025. Youāre getting pulled over. A community representative approaches to let you know you have a taillight out. They donāt need your license and registration, they donāt write you a fix-it ticket. Youāre back on the road in less than five minutes. You swing by the store and grab a new light, not because youāre afraid of what the city will do to you, but because you respect your community and know that having all your lights working is part of the driving privilege.
Your neighbors got into a loud spat a few weeks ago and without fear or hesitation, called a domestic assistance number. A counselor arrived and was able to talk the couple down and suggest solutions for their disagreement. No one was hurt, the kids participated in the discussion, and itās been quiet ever since.
Your friend has been struggling with addiction and you fear they might be a danger to themselves or others. You call a substance abuse specialist and they talk you through ways to help your friend get treatment. They offer to send an agent out to speak with your friend directly and provide information on harm reduction centers in your area.
Black and brown people are no longer being exploited through tickets and fines to pay for police. Trust is slowly being fostered in the community.
Teachers are being paid a living wage and students are being given more time, attention, and education. Books are up to date and classrooms are optimized to keep up with technology.
Trump is out of office.
Itās been a very long time since the name of a murdered black person was used as a hashtag.
Casual racism is no longer tolerated. The KKK has been classified as a terrorist organization. The Confederate flag isnt flown and has been removed from any official state flags or insignias. Most Confederate monuments have been taken down and placed in storage or museums.
You trust the investigation force to deal with crime the same way you trust firefighters to put out fires.
Thatās what ādefund the policeā looks like. What weāve seen in the last few weeks shows how overreaching and power-drunk many officers are. We asked too much of them and then called them heroes despite evidence to the contrary. We let them think that they could get away with anything, including murder. Its time for change.
Copied and pasted.
