Looking back to a great day climbing at Cave Creek in the late 90's. This was before @horseshoecanyon was on the map. The amazing peace we found back in that day our at #candymountain (aka. last area out) was palpable. I remember disturbing a mama and baby bear browsing their hillside stash of huckleberries. "Wizard and Glass climbs this delicate slab and finishes ok a locker fistcrack up high. He and I had grown up hunting quail and pond fishing, but Dad discovered his love for quiet waters and fly-casting while I was away at college. This day in 2007 was unremarkable on the fish-scale. Historic Downtown Frisco is a great blending of both historic and modern architecture with many signature businesses. Anytime I'm heading through, I definitely grab a 🍒 Danish at the Butterhorn Bakery & Cafe (trust me). I had just completed one such mission when I took this shot of their lovely #1899 #historicschoolhouse. Even after fire comes new life! This historic structure on Main Street has suffered fire and is currently mothballed. Sealing up a damaged or neglected property and waiting until the plan is in place to restore it sensitively is good historic preservation.
