The idea of giving gifts to family and loved ones, friends, employees, well-wishers, business associates, colleagues, or just about anyone with whom you'd like to share a good feeling, is a practice that has been associated with mankind from centuries past. In earlier days, people used to gift each other grains, food stuff, fruits, knitted pieces of clothing, cattle such as cows and sheep, poultry, pigs; just about anything that was utility and appeal to the receiver of the gift. These days, gifts are more a fancy and the entire gift-purchasing industry is worth billions. From simple things to flowers and chocolates, gifts now include prized dry fruits and nuts, expensive electronic gadgets, cars, bikes, perfumes, clothing sets and many others. In particular, women love to receive gifts and they are more likely to be taken up with a gift that is put together with care and affection. Here is where the idea of 'gift baskets' fit in. A gift basket can hold anything from small, hand-picked items to jewelry, personal care products and cosmetics, exotic fruits, wide array of chocolates, imported cheeses, wine or liquor bottles, cakes and pastries, food items and many others. Posting a gift I gave my friend's daughter when she was born: a freehand drawing that I made (using ink pens and markers) of a castle, because that's what a little princess deserves ! 🧡

Gift for my girl best friend, who has been sexually harassed
First of all, sorry for being so explicit in the title, but it's literally the case.
My best friend was harassed by her old roommate, who has already been kicked out of the apartment, but you guys can imagine all the suffering we are going through.
Im devastated by this, it's just something I would have never imagined would happen to me or anyone around me.
I would like to know some ideas to try and cheer her up, maybe some DIY gifts or more meaningful ones, not a basic one everyone could get her.
Thank you guys in advance ❤️.
edit: she doesn't like chocolate

Gift for an estranged mother
I need a birthday gift for my mother, as we're estranged I've no idea what she may like.
No sweets as she's diabetic, she used to love reading horror books and she liked making jewellery but her eyesight is poor so neither are really options any more. I don't want to just get her bath products.
Cost is low as I'm poor so she complains if I spend too much, also I generally don't want to spend much.

Gift idea for a friend that is moving far away
I've got a friend who is moving away in a few weeks, and her birthday is prior to that. Since we won't be able to see each other for a very long while (since she's moving far away), I want to find her a memorable gift but I am running out of ideas.
She likes gym related stuff and sweets such as chocolate, for example. Perhaps something "personalized" would be nice, but I can't think of anything.

104th birthday
What to get grandma for her 104th? Not a picture or a blanket. Plenty of those. She's pretty cognitively with it, with some dementia on bad days. Mobile with a walker. Vision and hearing are not great. Could cost money, or be handmade.

HS Graduation Gift for Partner’s Siblings
My partner of 11 years passed away in November, and his siblings are graduating from high school next month. They’ve invited me to their party, and I‘d like to get them something special that’s kind of from both of us. I was thinking along the lines of a keepsake or something they could use/display long-term.
His sister is college-bound, and his brother will work in the trades. I think I’m willing to spend up to $100 on each of them, although I’d prefer to be a little less. Any help is appreciated.

Ukrainian colleague birthday coming up next month
So, I live in a neighboring country to Ukraine and I have a Ukrainian girl I am a colleague with. We don't know each other very well due to us having classed mostly online, but we bonded a few times ever since I reached out to her after the war broke out, as well as a few common projects. Luckily, she was not in Ukraine on the 24th.
I happened to notice on Facebook that her birthday is coming up next month when we will also finally go to university physically. So, I was thinking of getting her something, but I don't really know what. I also don't want to be a big gift because I don't want to make her feel like she has to give me something back. I really have no ideas, so I was hoping I could get some help from here. Thanks :)

What should I get for my favorite professor?
I am graduating this spring and want to get something for my favorite professor. He has been my class advisor for all 4 years, been my clubs advisor, and he is even my thesis advisor right now. I want the gift to be really thoughtful for all he has done for me, but I am really not sure what to get him. For information on him that might help he is a polysci professor, he loves classic old films, his favorite movie is Casablanca, and he is very passionate about political science and history.
All help is appreciated!

Gift for coworker who misses work due to allergies?
My female coworker in her 50s has severe asthma that is worsened by seasonal allergies. She has to call out of work often during this time of year as she experiences uncomfortable allergy symptoms and wheezing. She’s been seeing all kinds of doctors to no avail, so she’s been pretty down about not being able to get better and missing work so much.
What is a small gift I can get her that will make her feel more comfortable during her asthma/allergy episodes? Max $30 budget.

Lf a gift for a friend who struggles with depression and feeling like a burden. Want to remind her she matters. Was thinking about a bracelet but I’m not sure what kind or what the message should be. Is there maybe a symbol that kind of represents “You matter” like ; stands for suicide awareness?
