There are, surprisingly, so many things that you can turn into a story bit. Yeah, the idea that one can use their own internalised problems for character development or, perhaps, even earlier, during character conceptualisation, isn't new at all. However, it's fascinating to me that, with enough time, a real life horror could be turned into a fantastical depiction of itself and both of those concepts could be just far apart to be different and yet close enough to *feel* similar or the same even.

The same thing with aesthetics or a piece of art that one might enjoy. Once you dig far enough into *why* you enjoy something you can take the baseline of it all and then turn it into something new.

Hehe, my characters are about to suffer and the world is about to be built just a bit more and I blame my own informational hunger and greed for that.

I've been listening to a lot of podcasts and video essays about writing in general and writing romance specifically (as that's what I'm currently working on, yay) and it made me wonder. Is it even okay that I'm writing about a gay romance as an ace woman? I want to immediately argue that I try to go about writing the main couple in a way that, I believe, would make sense even if one or both of their genders were different. However, is that even the right approach? I'm just wondering about the moral aspect of it all. I honestly believe that I'm doing my best just to write good characters that simply happen to be gay, but I feel like I should still contact someone from the community itself and ask them if they feel that my portrayal is accurate. However, I'm unsure where to find such a person. I'm open to discussion and I want to receive criticism on my work as it would allow me to grow more as a writer but...yeah, I'm unsure who to ask.

Oh well, more podcasts and more writing of silly little stories it is.

Writing is such a wonderful art. The more I learn about it, the more I write and the more other people read my works, the more love I have for the medium.

What I am fascinated by most is that limitless potential that you have with every word and sentence. The meaning that you've put into your work and the way you perceive it is already beautiful. However, just imagine that someone out there is reading the same worlds that you've been meticulously picking out and they're seeing their own personal version of the story, one that nobody else could ever see, not even the author. All because of their own unique perception.

It's just incredible.
