When Rook pushes the statues over it distracts Solas, but he then goes right on with the ritual and nothing bad happens
Do you know what actually disrupts the ritual and releases the gods?
Stabbing Varric with the ritual focus. You know, the one that’s very sensitive to being bled on
#dragon age veilguard#spoilers#for the inciting incident? so do with that what you will#but i’d argue that stopping the ritual that was underway wasn’t as simple as just stopping#could/should solas have handled it better? i’d say yes#but for all we know if he hadn’t continued it might have released three gods instead of two#like neve said#disrupting a ritual of that scale has consequences#now#having said that do i think ‘rook released the elven gods’ is an accurate statement?#no#it’s very much a joint effort thing#that could have been aboided if solas were more inclined to explain himself or accept that he might be wrong#rook was doing the best they could with incomplete information#solas had way more information and was a dick about it

isabela doesn't run the lords of fortune the way she does because she loves Ethical Piracy
isabela runs the lords the way she does because the last time she stole something important, kirkwall happened
having appraisers from a bunch of different cultures absolutely makes sense, and grabbing a finders fee for getting stuff back to its respective place is pretty reasonable (labour should be compensated)
like...it IS ethical piracy, but the root of it was never "oh maybe we should do better," it was always "hello my name is isabela and i would like to not get bodied by the entire qunari population a second time"
