She thought about it, the idea that there was more to Purgatory than just this, though it was highly unlikely. Lena absentmindedly put a hand inside the water, forming tiny circles. “M – My dad used to take me to the beach every weekend when I was younger and he’d…he’d always tell me he thought on the other side of the ocean there was another dad sitting with his daughter, wondering the same things.” She shook her head, running her free hand through her hair. “Sorry. That was – way random.”
Landon hugged his knees, his social skills were still slightly shot despite the progress he’d made in his time there. He could smile a little as she spoke, a tiny little smile on the corner of his lips, nearly invisible. “No, that’s really nice. These memories are always good to hold on to.” he nodded glancing her way before looking back out over the water. “Your dad sounds like a smart man”

Lena had set out for the only place she figured would be quiet, though she wasn’t exactly correct. People were out everywhere, destroying everything. She wondered if any of them even slept or ate anymore. She didnt care. All she cared was that there was no longer peace and quiet in her home or even at the photography studio. Lena breathed in, sitting closer to the edge of the water and further away from the group also gathered near the beach. She heard the footsteps heading toward her and saw the person sit beside her from the corner of her eye but her eyes focused on the water. “Do you ever just want to jump in?” She asked quietly.
The crowds were getting unbearable, over both side the amount of people was amazing, but for Landon it was a nightmare. He could handle people, in their small doses, but he was fairly sure they didn’t exist anymore. He headed out of the madness, towards were the crowds thinned slightly, before spotting a lone person sitting by the waters edge. Landon wandered across the sand, finding a place near her, looking out across the water. “All the time” he responded, resting his crossed arms, on his folded knees. “I used to think maybe I could swim to a nicer place. But I don’t know if there is anymore”

I don’t see anyway around it. I just wonder if there’s supposed to come a time where we just accept it all for what it is and not bother to think otherwise.
Probably. I mean the riot is growing momentum, and they can fight. But who can guarantee it’ll be any better whatever way the scales tip.

It’s…It’s okay. Nothing that I can’t, you know, fix up myself.Â
Oh good. I’m glad. Some people are really coping it bad out there.

Wise words. People like that won’t survive here, unfortunately. I’m not saying it to be rude or anything. It’s fact. I think Ben and Eric have made it fairly clear that no one can get by with staying inside their home in an attempt to avoid the mess.
It’s just a fact these days. Guards and residents alike. Unfortunately that’s the world we now live in.

Right. Well, it’s a nice thought.
I suppose, yeah. Is your home intact?

I think right now, I just really want the residents to have homes that work for them I guess. Hotel cleaner is a past life or not.
I’m sure plenty of hotels would have appreciated your services.

Might be better than not being useful at all. I can imagine those people will be the first to go.
You’ll come in handy when everyone’s forced to rebuild this entire town.

That’d be quite genius I must admit.Â
I think in a past life we all were. Maybe this just ends and we start over in Purgatory again to enhance our skill.

I could have been a cleaner before. Apparently I have the skill for it, after this past week.

I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to bother you.Â
Could everyone please just stop asking me questions.
I don’t want to talk about this. I just want to go home.Â

Maybe it’s just a short term fix.
The thought behind this campfire is endearing,
but it’s not going to solve anything. It’s a mild distraction that most likely won’t work.Â

A problem for another day. It’s all fun here. Good to see people loosen up a bit.
If it makes you feel better, I think I need to work on my default guard talk rather than the socializing part. Definitely less fun, but way more professional.

It’s a welcoming sight to see. Good moods are infectious.
It’s weird, isn’t it? Like everyone is out of place, but in a good way.Â

That’s my default guard talk. Maybe I should work on that for socializing.
I’m impressed. You make a social gathering sound like a political campaign boost.

It’s a good boost for overall community happiness.
I don’t think I’ve seen this many people smile in awhile. It’s strange yet pleasing to see.

Definitely. Hopefully this will help in easing people into a comfortable, happier place.
Chocolate never fails. Everyone likes chocolate.
I think after recent events we’re all a little shaken. We need each other right now, you know?
I’m thinking chocolate cupcakes. Chocolate is comforting, right?
