Leah,

You are always in my heart and soul, where ever I go. As I’ve traveled across the country this year, this black and white photo from our wedding day has kept me grounded and has constantly reminded me that no matter where I am, you are right by my side. You are my constant companion, lover, friend, and adventurer. 

This first full year as husband and wife has had its challenges and triumphs. And, through all of it, you continue to evolve, grow, and challenge yourself to become the best wife, daughter, sister, and friend to all around you (even strangers on planes). The courage and strength you’ve shown this year is something that has humbled me and shown me not only how brave you truly are but how compassionate you choose to be, even in the eye of the storm.

Thank you for who you are and for being my wife. 

I love you so very much.

I revisited the bench we spent time laughing and eating on during our trip to Philadelphia. So many beautiful memories rushed through my head as I stood there thinking of you/us. (So deeply in love and such delicious sandwiches!) To think, the two people sitting on the bench in the below photo would end up getting married less than several years later! So thankful and appreciative to have found you. Always thinking of you Leah (and your beautiful fucking smile).

I've lost track of the amount of times that you've made me cry with hope and joy in random hotels across the country. This one was another thoughtful, loving and supportive note I found in my suitcase when I arrived in Greenville, SC.
