Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! Put the finishing touches on this sketch cover for my best friends' gift just in time for our Christmas gathering. They are both huge Star Wars fans and members of the Rebel Leguon. My first time doing a sketch cover; was a lot of fun. Going to have to do more in the future. #starwars #lukeskywalker #sketch

'Al Asim' faction sigil. This society is filled with the study and development of the magical arts, which I drew a lot from for the design in order to make it different from the others. 4th in a series of 5 sigils for LPJ Design's NeoExodus Legacies Kickstarter. On the right are the two original sketches. Painted in Procreate on the IPad. #magic #procreate #illustration #art

The Blood Templars' faction sigil. 3rd in a series of 5 sigils for LPJ Design's NeoExodus Legacies Kickstarter. Pulled a lot from church symbols and foms for this design given the background story of this templar faction. One of the things I really tried to push with this series was ro make sure each sigil had its own unqiue shape and stood distinctly apart from the others. Last 2 coming soon. #tabeltopgaming #procreate #illustration

Recently recieved an exciting package containing the new die cut stickers I designed and ordered from @jakprints I'm preparing to launch the last phase of my new website, which will include a full online store at the turn of the new year. These stickers are going to be included in every order as a free thank you gift till they run out. (4"x4" in size roughly). My first time making a sticker, lots of fun to see my art on a personal product; will have to try more in the future. #adventure #sticker #fantasyart

A glimpse into my painting process for the Emerald Legion sigil for LPJ Design. Starting from the base sketch, blocking in the major shapes, to final rendering. I usually start with tight detailed drawings, however with illustrations of this size (smaller sigils) I tend to just dive right into the painting after blocking in the sketch. Still working to figure out the video side of things, but hopefully more process vids in the future. #tabletopgaming #gameart #illustration #artprocess

The first of four sigils I recently created for LPJ Design's NeoExodus Legacies Kickstarter. This was a fun series to work on and afforded me the opportunity to work on my Ipad in Procreate for the first time from start to finish. After years of drawing on a wacom tablet and looking at a monitor and switching to drawing right on the screen it was a breath of fresh air. Also having the rotating Powerskin handle secured to the back of my Ipad worked out great for holding it while painting. #tabeltopgaming #procreate #illustration #icon

My Travels, Day 20: The Doors of Notre Dame Since I was young I have always enjoyed Gothic and Baroque architecture and growing up Notre Dame was my absolute favorite building. Its massive scale, the sculptures throughout its edifice, and layers of detail was mind blowing to see in real life. One thing I have noticed while working on this series of drawings is that I really enjoy drawing the scenes that feature groups of people vs. just an environment; especially crowds of people. #notredame #travel #drawing

#inktober2017 Day 18: Jungles of the Philippines When I was younger and traveled to the Philippines we visited family that lived way out on a mountain covered in jungle. My father took my cousins and I for a walk. And as I was walking through the jungle marveling at the world around me my father stoped us and pointed ahead of us. I took me a moment to register why he had stopped us. Between the trunks of these two tree was a massive spider web and I the middle was this 'little' fellow (swipe for photo). At the time this was one of the coolest things I had every seen as a little boy. Sorry for the delay in posting for #inktober . I've had some freelance work come in that is taking up more of my schedule. I have atleast 10-15 more drawings planned for this series, which I will still create. Though they won't be coming out daily. I hope you stick with me through this journey. Thank you all for your comments, likes, and follows; I always find them very encouraging. #inktober #philippines #brushpen #spider

#inktober2017 Day 17: Paris, France One of my favorite books is 'Neverwhere' by Neil Gaimen (I highly recommend it). Because of this I always enjoy riding on trains or subways whenever I visit a major city; especially subways. This is a scene from a station in Paris when my traveling companions and I were making our way around the city. #inktober #paris #subway #train #ink

#inktober2017 Day 16: Tokyo, Japan Another scene from my day at Senso-ji Temple in Tokyo. When traveling besides hunting down bookshops I always enjoy visiting old church's and temples. I'm a begin fan of gothic, baroque, and older Japanese architecture. The pagoda at the Senso-ji Temple is incredible. #inktober #japan #tokyo #sensojitemple

#inktober2017 Day 15: Tokyo, Japan Akihabara, the legendary shopping area of Tokyo for electronics, video game, manga, & anime. There was so much to see here: people everywhere, a constant flurry of activity, cutting edges elctronics, neon lights, colors, sounds. We only spent an afternoon here, and that was not enough time to take it all in. #inktober #japan #tokyo #akihabara

#inktober2017 Day 14: Tokyo, Japan I love books. Growing up one of the anime I enjoyed was ROD and in it they spoke of a book street in Tokyo. So, years later when the opportunity to go to Tokyo came up I had to visit Jimbocho (Book town) and see all these wonderful bookstores. Whenever, wherever I travel I always try to hunt down local bookstores. So this is a view looking down one of the streets of Jimbocho. #inktober #japan #tokyo #jimbocho

#inktober2017 Day 13: Tokyo, Japan This was the market row leading up to the Senso-ji Temple. Really enjoyed all the activity of the market combined with the temple architecture. One of my favorite places we visited during our time in Japan. #inktober #japan #tokyo #sensojitemple

#inktober2017 Day 12: Tokyo, Japan This is the Senso-ji Temple I visited during an adventure with my aunt and grandpa while visiting family in Tokyo. The Senso-ji temple in Asakusa is massive and the architecture with the bright red layered detailed woodwork and sweeping tiled roofs is incredbile. Ever since I studied Japanese back in high school & college I've been a huge fan of Japanese art, culture, and history. Someday I fully intend to return for a longer time. Think I'll spend the next few days re-exploring my trip there in ink ; ). #inktober #japan #tokyo #sensojitemple

#inktober2017 Day 11: Ginobatan, Philippines Okay, one more street market scene from my adventures. This is a small fruit stand from a market in Ginobatan. When I was younger I had the opportunity to travel to the Philippines to see the area where my father grew up and meet my family there. It was a great experience to see where my family came from, which is a whole different world from where we are now. Everyday while we were there my family would go for halo-halo in this market to cool off. Still one of my favorite drinks/deserts to beat the Summer heat. #philippines #inktober #market #ink

#inktober2017 Day 10: Chinatown, New York I really enjoy visiting markets when I travel. So here is another market type area although more modern. Its Chinatown, New York. Went to visit family in that area and they brought me here to walk and eat. Had some great snails in brown sauce. So much activity, so many people. I am amused by the fact that whenever I visit a Chinatown in a city all the shops seem to sell the exact same items. I really enjoy visiting cities, but having grown up in a more a rural area I don't think I could see myself living in one. I need the open spaces and trees, but a city is a fun vacation spot for me. #inktober #newyork #chinatown #ink

#inktober2017 Day 9: Adventureland, Disneyland, FL Since I was little my family has gone on a yearly trip to Disneyland and to this day I still love visiting the different lands there and how they are so encompassing (mise-en-scene) for a brief time make you feel like you are in another land. Here is Adventureland from our trip this year. Love the crowds and the setting, cant wait to go back again. Much of my youthful inspiration and passion for fantasy & adventure came from this place. #inktober #disneyland #adventureland
