I FINISHED YELLOWFACE
5 STARS 5 STARS 5 STARS WHAG THE FUCK
RFKUANGILOVEYOU
THE TENSION??? THE LAST FEW CHAPTERS??? IT REALLY MADE ME QUESTION MY OWN RACIAL MORAL OPINIONS AND HOW PRIVILEGE WORKS
the whole unreliable narrator really never hit me becuz it is what it is but this one really me made me sympathize with junie and that made me rethink my choices especially because im poc myself likes wyatbtheufcj I can’t even be civil about it because it was so good

wuthering heights was another 4* read!!!!
Genuinely loved how the way the book was narrated a bit uniquely and differently but this was the ONE book where I genuinely felt like the character were so real. I was so so so so invested in ALL of the characters and I watched them grow and age and bond and I grew so emotional over them (I know in the ending they’re cousins but like. im sorry their relationship was so cute because I got attached to both of them separately)
and the ending was SO refreshing!!! without giving much spoilers, from the way the characters all struggled im glad they decided to become better people instead.
it would’ve been a 5* if emily Brontë’s writing style wasn’t so difficult to get into 😭 took me a couple of chapters + plus the way she described some situations were so subtle I got confused (like the pregnancy. I had no idea!!!!)

I finished King Arthur and gave it 4*
I always knew the story was good but the becoming of King Arthur was so terribly boring it got so difficult for me to get into. I still don’t know what the dolorous stroke is I will search that up later….. However, everything else was awesome and piqued my interest in knights. Reading knight stories feels so whimsical I love it

i love how because animals have a different lifespan to humans, we have a way to convert their ages into something we can understand so we can sympathize with their age and mind a lot better. it’s bittersweet knowing that 15 years too little is 15 years too much on them. we convert the ages to comprehend their mortality.

been reading on the train a lot. I’m working throughout the entire day so I’m very exhausted so I like to take my commute to and from home to read because it takes me like an hour to get by and if I’m lucky I get in all the chapters I want to read. It’s really hard taking pictures of pages I like in public and shitty lighting 😢
