I love doing “mirror” posing compositions for you and finally I did one for myself. Can’t wait to transfer it on paper.

My boys Otto and Zephyrin (do not confuse with Ser Zephirin!) I am so happy I was finally able to show Otto’s softness. He is in his early 20ies and while Elezen Elongating Process is almost done, his face hasn’t got these sharp adult features yet. Zeph is 26, but he had already been through a lot, so he may look older than he actually is.

I was so excited to work on this composition, gosh, I missed the feeling.

But let me tell you, I am so excited to finally write down Otto’s story and bring back my alt together with it. I thought about sharing it here, but there’s too much text…

Through years of roleplaying experience, I came to one sad conclusion. I should avoid shipping my characters with other people's characters. People come and go; I inevitably part ways with my friends/roleplaying partners. But my characters stay with me, and there's always that void left with someone's parting. I should establish a strict rule: "No RP datings, marriages, or ERPs." All interactions end with friendship/partnership, and that's it. But, well, someone always finds a way to melt my heart. That's why stone is better than ice.

Some are lucky to find long-lasting relationships and prolific roleplaying interactions. However, it's not the story of my life. I can't even find a community I belong to. I feel like a third leg at every single guild. Sometimes I think I should stop trying to be active and just wait. Even if there are no right things and times in my life anymore, at least I won't feel like an outsider.

This is my main, Otto. He's that boy who has the back of WoL, but he is not one himself. :D

Otto was born into a family of minor nobility in Ishgard but was raised by a miqo'te foster mother in Gridania. Otto didn't know about his origins; he was too small when he got separated from his parents. The story behind this didn't give him a peace of mind, so at some point (at the beginning of Heavensward), Otto decided to take his chance and find out what happened to his family. This is how his personal quest begins.

Otto's foster mom is the most supportive mom of all supportive moms; that's why Otto is never afraid to try something new, like a new job or new discipline. Thanks to her, he developed the mindset of a person who isn't afraid of mistakes and eagerly learns from them. Still, physically strong and tough, Otto prefers to take the role of protector (main jobs: WAR and GNB).

Otto is cheerful and outgoing; his positivity may even be annoying sometimes. But hey, he is here to kick some arses and have fun while doing it!

P.S. should draw him once. Absolutely.

I absolutely love illustrating books, but orders for MMORPG/TTRPG characters always have a special place in my heart. People get incredibly creative with designs and I adore that! This triptych (client doesn't allow to share the third piece yet, it's a surprise!) took quite a time, but I am very happy with it and with the whole concept. These are referring to the Day and the Dawn/Dusk. The Night is yet to be revealed hehe. Commission done for Elynne (they have accs on Mastodon, Bluesky and DreamWidth).

My 2024 was all about writers and book illustrations. This is a dream job, but gosh, it's difficult to sit on all the artworks I've done for authors and waiting until these are published by them! You know, it's a bit sad and funny when people ask me if I am watching Arcane. And then they go in righteous rage with "how"-s and "why"-s.

No, I am not. I’m not sure I want now. I know it is great - because I was in LoL fandom far before this boom of popularity (around 2012). I witnessed how Vi and Jinx appeared as characters in game. Victor was my main and my favorite champion. I had all skins for him and destroyed everything I saw on the mid lane, no joke! I was participating in local “Fandom Battle” and I have fanarts from 2014-2015. I wrote a huge ass fanfic using just the old barely existing lore. In 2016, when everything was crashing down for me, Jhin and his creation process set my dream: to be an artist. I was extremely unhappy working as a lawyer and this little absurd (as I thought back then) dream helped me to keep going. In the end, I was drawing traditionally (these two artworks are done with pen and ink). These years were all about digital art and I simply couldn't believe I will end up somewhere with my paper and fancy frames. League has much more meaning for me than any Arcane fan can imagine before being judgmental bitch about me not appreciating true art.

I had my reasons to leave the community. And I have my reasons to skip the show for now. But I know that Riot tries to pour soul and creativity into their universe. And I am sure that Arcane has an awesome story and beautiful animation. But I need my time to be able to enjoy that. P.S. both arts are from 2014-2015.

I never was a “popular” artist. Somehow I have zero ideas about managing my social media accounts. I always end up frustrated to the point of abandoning everything altogether. I tried every single tip I could find online to be more visible. But in the end, for me it was always about luck.

Living in a “I didn’t know you and your art exists” bubble is a tough thing, especially if you are a full-time freelancer. And as much as I want to get a “real job” to play safe, in my situation it’s nearly impossible. I don’t want to elaborate much and draw a victim card, but those who know, know.

I always feel like my art lacks something. That people don’t vibe much with what I am doing. That it doesn’t look like something they would love to get or to stop just for a moment to appreciate. But when I get my lucky moment, it proves that I am very wrong. I just have this weird curse of invisibility.

And when someone breaks it for me, even for the short moment, I feel like crying. Just two platforms can do this kind of magic. Tumblr and Mastodon. It doesn’t feel like screaming in the void.

I love art more than anything else in this world. I keep doing art regardless of audience size and attention. But when I have some, it means the world to me.

And for that - thank you.
