Lami. Ang Durian Coffee (latte) sa Sun Cafe. It works - there's durian, sweet pungent durian, but without overpowering the coffee, sweet bitter coffee. My only gripe is that the sugar is pre-mixed, though it was just the right sweetness for me that time, but they should give that option to the drinker, really.

Lami ang falafel wrap sa Frankie's Cafe (Island City Mall). Its falafel -- though a wee bit tame in mideastern flavors, which is perfect for the untrained Pinoy (and Western, Frankie's niche market) tongue -- is falafel still and that's enough. (I don't care much for the veggies myself. ✌😄) Plus there's a good helping of garlic sauce on the side. Yum!

Lami. This Brazilian-inspired power bowl ¡¡Bom Dia!! of Shaka Bohol (in Tawala, Panglao) really puts the*bom* in your *dia*! The beautiful (too symmetrical, Siargao's is more artsy assymetrical) presentation is lovely, but it's the balance of textures (the coconut gratings, even) and flavors that will win you over, in the end. Power! 🤗

Naay mga walay lami nga patok gihapon sa takilya. Like the mango-chocolate soft serve ice cream of 7-Eleven. Walay lami jud. It's the "mango", really, that has this yucky artificial flavor (the chocolate is bearable) and the texture is not at all vanilla creamy. So why oh why do people make linya and tambay sa 7-11 for this? Don't answer that. We know.🍦

Lami. The carrot cake of Bo's Coffee in #Tagbilaran #Bohol is rich and moist where the carrots are abundant and the frosting does not overwhelm. But fair warning, sharing is a must. Ma-walay lami siya, pramis, if dili nimo i-share. 😉

Walay lami. The Cordova Express of Lantaw #Bohol is just not appetizing. A letdown as it's one of their signature dishes. There's no balance in flavors - too sweet - and the seafood flavors just fail to stand out. If you imagine this dish as a seafood + veggie version of the beloved Bicol Express - it's not.

Walay lami. Goldilocks' Ube Halaya should strip off "ube" from its name. Is there even "ube" in it? No ube taste and scent (Yes, Scott, ube has a distinct taste + aroma) in it whatsoever. Instead, it tastes like someone's twisted imagining of the flavor purple -- purple rubber jam.

Lami. #Bohol Mosia’s salted caramel ice cream is delightful. First off – their ice cream is actual ice cream. And their salted caramel variant is that – the saline and smokey sweet making slow sensuous love in your mouth. [Just don’t be turned off by the mess-hall-steel plating.]

Lami. The puto maya with mango of Tablea de Maria Clara is glohhrious. The puto maya itself is made of pure 'pilit' -- cooked and seasoned your lola's way. Lami. Socorro's crispy pata lives up to the hype. It's not only instagrammable, it's delicious to boot. (That's becoming a rarity these days, you know.) It's well-seasoned through and through; dipping sauce is only necessary if you want to add spice/heat to it.
