Bari Language
Bari is an eastern nilotic language spoken by the Karo people who mostly inhabit South Sudan and parts of Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. They consist of many distinct ethnic groups who each have their own dialect and of which the Bari people is only one, which is why the language is also called Karo or Kutuk. The other ethnic groups are: Pojulu, Kakwa, Nyangwara, Mundari/Mandari, and Kuku. All in all there are about 750 000 native speakers.
Bari is a tonal language with vowel harmony and SVO word order and uses a modified Latin alphabet.

Bilingualism is almost never symmetrical
That was the overarching takeaway of my Bilingualism class
The ‘mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell’ of the class, if you will
How are you a native speaker but not fluent?
I grew up in the states and didn’t really attend korean school as a “young” kid. My parents are both bilingual so we also used English at home. That being said I do have a decent amount of exposure due to simply being Korean-American and interacting with grandparents, and a lot of my knowledge comes from what I’ve learned through human interaction and traveling to Korea several times. I wanted to become more fluent and decided how fun would it be to share my journey with you guys! Hopefully I’ve helped inspire others to learn or to become more fluent as well 😊TL;DR conversational Korean-American boy wants to become more fluent, decides to share with others

So this is the Russian “mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell”
London is the capital of Great Britain is a phrase used by Russians as an example of things you learn from school and never forget (a common way to start a text about London or the UK in an English textbook)
What I learned from school
1. I’m an idiot
2. Everyone else is an idiot
3. London is the capital of Great Britain

Twitter has a 140 character limit, yet I still found a way to tell one of the longest and most obnoxious knock-knock jokes of all time within a single tweet.
I am more proud of this accomplishment than any human right has the right to be.
