Lalalun’s Tour of Eorzea (Continued)
I wasn't exactly sure what I saw in the distance as I was traveling this way, on my hunt for alpaca, but it turns out this is a fish with legs. The fish with legs did not appreciate that I was nearby. I suppose I should have done more to make it gently aware of my presence. Not that it mattered much, as the fish-with-legs asserted itself to my detriment.
While this is unfortunate, the water is pleasantly cool and there's the gentle noise of a nearby waterfall. I do enjoy that this vacation has involved a lot of saltwater, and now some freshwater as well. The contrast is appreciated.
I'll try to stay positive and enjoy the soak. There are also some distant flowers to look at.

The birds are shockingly aggressive, but I suppose I ought to have expected that. The birds have historically been fairly aggressive in a way that has been tough for this old woman. I suppose I expected something a little bit different in a new world...
I shouldn't have.
The grass is very soft, however, and the weather was generally pretty pleasant. I can't fault it for ambiance.

I thought this was going to be a nice, relaxing vacation. There have been things I've enjoyed, such as the beautiful ocean views and the constant mention of tacos. There have been things I've enjoyed less, like getting roasty-toasty (and I don't mean sunburn) while in my nice little seaside attire.
At least I can relax in the cabana after this.

This was probably a pretty nice place, before the fire and the burning and the yelling as people run for safety. I like the architecture. There's an interesting use of arches and supports for some of the doorways and windows.
Of course, the "being on fire" part isn't great. My corpse is going to get kind of crispy laying here.

The man with the very large shoulder pads was very upset. It's a bit of a shame, because I think that this place—despite the bad hype—was kind of fun to visit!
However, the ground is cold and the voidsent are clamoring for my flesh, so it's not my favourite death spot.

Turns out that the (very pretty) birds do not want to be pet. They have lovely plumage and are so very large, but they responded with more hostility than I was necessarily prepared for. I did enjoy their silky feathers for at least a few seconds before they laid me low.
The pink horizon is a nice final view before my eyes fluttered closed. I quite like the colour.

I'm not sure I've died in a place that I colour-coordinate with quite as much as this area. The gentle sound of the large, antagonistic moths above resembles a somewhat pleasant droning of white noise. The flowers have a lovely scent as they waft in the soft breeze.
Probably ranks as one of the best areas I've died in.

I really ought to have thought that violet miasma might have been an issue, but I dropped the numbing powder, blowing it back on myself instead, and... well... that was that.
Deep in these ruins I suspect it will take a while before anyone finds me.
The ground is cold, rocky, and decidedly filthy.
Would not recommend dying here.

Lalalun’s Tour of Eorzea (Continued)
I find myself in an unfamiliar land, but an all-too-familiar position: prone.
The good news is that I am within sight of an aetheryte and what should be a fairly well-traveled thoroughfare, especially considering the significant foot traffic during these times.
The bad news is that I am not sure anyone will notice me over here unless they come looking for the wayward creature that laid me low. Not sure that really recommends this spot for future deaths, but it certainly could be worse.

I suppose I shouldn't be too shocked, given that "sacrifice" was literally in the name. I suppose I spent less time face-down on this very beautiful glowy floor than I may have. The others really tried their best to keep me alive, despite my (insufficient) efforts.
Although this floor is quite pretty, it was very cold. Not as nice as some of my other death spots.

The water may have been temporarily diverted, but these caverns can still be quite treacherous. Care & caution are advised. I ought to have brought one of the grandchildren with me to guide, I suppose, but hindsight is so often 20/20. It seemed reasonable, at the time, to traverse it alone. The native species of this area are curious and somewhat hostile, so following my initial slip from an upper level... well, this was the result. The little creatures did at least keep me company while waiting for help to arrive. Perhaps for the next upcoming gift-giving occasion the family may consider pooling their funds to get grandmother the latest Aetheric LifeAlert for situations like these. 8/10, honestly a fairly soothing place to die

Although the "palace" is decadent, I must say that I find the host a bit wanting for manners. There were plenty to greet us, that is to be sure, but I wouldn't exactly say it was "welcoming". And this kind of behaviour is just uncalled for. Very unbecoming of anyone, regardless of the luxurious state of their abode. Also the tile floor was very cold and hard for this old woman's aching bones. 2/10

I possibly could have fared better against a single goblin, but a pair was too much for this poor old granny... they looted the cookies from my pockets and took off. Such rude behaviour! I wish to teach them a lesson, but I believe I'd need backup to do so... I do so enjoy the beautiful magenta and violet tones of the underbrush. It makes this new resting place more tolerable. 7/10, would not have willingly died here, but it's okay

Oh my, witchweed gathering is a bit more involved than I’d hoped. Those weeds are so aggressive! I suppose I ought to have packed better gardening equipment.
At least the clover here is soft to rest my dead body on.
6/10, will probably die here again

Well, my dears, I certainly did not expect to be treated like that! Not as a guest! I must say, that a fae people who consider drowning their guests to be de rigueur perhaps would be best not crossed paths with.
...Although, it is a lovely lake to have been drowned in, with some beautiful flowers.
8/10, would die here again
