obsessed with neil josten as a reliable but negligent narrator. everything he tells you is true and necessary and important but he fails to tell you other basic things that maybe aren't absolutely necessary but would be pretty fucking nice to know. like we know the intimate details of his traumatic past that he keeps secret from everyone else but we have don't know his real name or what he even looks like. insane. narrator of all time.

an AU where neil doesn’t play exy professionally but instead somehow lands a job as a commentator….

he is obviously terrible at being impartial. every time andrew is playing it’s just:

“minyard just stared down the referee for calling a foul. the ref immediately reconsidered. fascinating display of psychological warfare.”

“some say he’s the best goalkeeper of his generation. they’re correct.”

and when Kevin is playing:

“Day takes the shot... and scores. i’m sure he’ll be insufferable about it for the next decade.”

“a near miss from Kevin. don’t worry, he’s probably already coming up with a 45-minute PowerPoint on how the court dimensions were off by 0.03 inches.”

you know that wymack thinks andrew is cheating on neil. he sees andrew and his son literally holding hands and it's far beyond his pay grade but it's his son???

he knows andrew isn't a guy to know everything about normal relationship but he also knows that their thing with neil was serious, and now he's going out with kevin while neil's at school?

he tries to have a talk with andrew, says "you have to choose one or I'll do it, not because I'm your coach but because I'm his father" and andrew just walks out of his study, texting kevin "your dad thinks ima cheater. go talk"

andrew is tired and they've been together for a year and kevin still believes his father wouldn't approve of it (andrew will fight him in that case)

I’ve come to the conclusion that kevin can only be in polyam relationships where the other is already established. doesn’t matter who, but there needs to be a ship and then he is their codependent best friend who ends up being absorbed into their relationship
