Sick day!

• Law x (Fem) reader.

• scenario; law has to deal with his s/o's sickness as she hallucinates and spouts nonsense to her lover.

Just a short story :33

"Yep, you're sick alright."

Law spoke as he was in the infirmary with his girlfriend when you sneezed. You had been working nonstop recently and it felt like ages since you had proper sleep, now you got sick because you stayed out in the rain.

The engine vibrates the submarine gently while law scribbles on his paper and wrote some symptoms you felt.

"I'm fine, I swear." You reasoned to him, forcing yourself to get up when he sits you back down. "You need bedrest." He snaps back, "I don't need it..mmhp.." spoke you, in an angry tone.

But eventually, you caved in and law forced you to go to bed when he took care of you. The crew occasionally swings by to give you food, and law as well gives you medicine. He saw how you looked tired when he scolded you. "I told you.. You shouldn't really go out overworking yourself, now look."

He sees you swallow the pill as you let out a yawn. It's been a few hours in and you felt dizzy and you were hallucinating. When you thought that law wasn't even your boyfriend.

"wh, who are you..? Where's law?" You frantically asked, with droopy lidded eyes as you scrambled around to look for law even if he was right there. "I'm law." He said in a bored manner, rolling his eyes to see you were really really. Sick. "No you aren't..His head isn't shaped like a mushroom." You weakly point to his hat which you thought looked like a mushroom growing from his head.

"my boyfriend.. He'll get upset when he sees this.." you cried out when you laid back in bed, as he sees you hold his hand, caressing it with your fingertips and slowly looking up at law. "Cause I am your boyfriend, dumbass." Law flicked your forehead causing you to groan when she pouted. "Oh really? Then, umm....If you hug me I'll be able to know if it really is you."

He looked at her with a sigh, shaking his head in disappointment. He couldn't believe he was gonna do this. "Why should I?" He asked. "I know how he hugs me. Now do it." You open your arms to him and he begrudgingly hugged her, his arms wrapping around her shoulders when her nose was buried under her neck as she sniffs his scent.

This was him alright.

"are you convinced now? Or am I gonna lay here and look stupid?" He asked again, and saw she already fell asleep. Law didn't really move away, as he had a slight smile.

"you idiot."

Later: law fell asleep as well, when shachi enters unannounced to say something to law when he saw the couple cuddle in their sleep when he called for penguin to get the camera.

Penguin saw this scene and he couldn't help but snicker. His captain has always been a little caring on the inside when he snaps a photo, causing law to wake as the flash hits his eyes. "Why you.." law grunted as he stands up and they made a run for it.

"can't I have a single moment without getting embarrassed?"
