I kinda played with the thought of coming back here, the first step was unfollowing all accounts that hadn’t posted in over a year, so I went from following 750+ accounts to 350. Yikes. Lots of big accounts are inactive, which made me second-guess the decision. If I’ll be putting any sort of effort into a half dead social media platform, I might as well put more effort into my Instagram account? Also probably 90% of my followers are also dead. Grunt.

I hadn’t logged in on Tumblr for a couple of years now and almost all my DMs were sex spam bots. Glad to see things haven’t changed around here!

INSIDE ISSUE 29 // “We learned quickly to not waltz into each other’s studios and rattle off some unsolicited advice on a piece the other is working on - that never ends well, so we’re careful to make thoughtful and constructive commentary on each other’s work. After all these years, we really understand each other’s propensities in the studio, so it is much easier to make quick comments, but it is always important to be sensitive to the stage of the painting, and the state of mind that we’re in, so we can actually be very honest and helpful.” Read more of the fascinating and deeply personal conversation between artist couple @candicebohannon & @julioart in Issue 29 of Beautiful Bizarre Magazine. .
