Each time I find a new fandom, I start a new side blog because I like to keep things tidy and separate. Alas, this does mean that notification will pop up from this blog which hasn't exactly been posting recently and is from a completely different fandom. Back to my usual bull, here's my newest book!

Tales From St Jude's

I am super proud to announce that my latest book is now available. In a break from romance novels, this is a collection of 23 short stories that have been written over the last year, most of them posted on my Patreon. The cover art was created by the incredibly talented @descaladumidera.

Most importantly though, all profits from sales of this book will be donated to help fund a family friend's treatment for a rare medical condition.

'lo! I feel like sending ask meme asks and if you feel like answering then your randomly selected emoji is 🌍 so your question must be: If you could choose any place on earth to recreate on a giant spaceship and runaway in, what place would you choose?

Oooh! This is fun! Thank you for sending such an ask. Also, I’m going to be horrendously boring in my reply. Because the one place I would choose to recreate is my armchair and desk. It’s where I write so it is the most comfortable spot in the world. And the most relaxing - the pets come visit; the dogs go under the desk for a snooze, the cats purr while stretched along the backrest. Sometimes a dog might decide he is smaller than he actually is and he’ll perch like an 18kg parrot on my shoulder/back of the armchair. The 40kg one might stare balefully at me until the laptop is put on the desk and he can come be a lapdog.

The desk itself is nothing fancy. I love the fact it is a roll top even though it is never closed. It’s stuffed full of things my friends have sent - postcards, key rings, fandom stuff. They’re all reminders of people around the world who I adore from the bottom of my heart. My favourites are a crochet naked mole rat and two tsum-tsums. And I can’t not mention the four tiny bronze statues that I found in an antiques shop. It took three visits and about as many months before I bought them but they’re a reminder of what I write. Plus they’re so ugly/NSFW they shouldn’t be on display. So they’re right at home in my desk.

Also, somehow I’ve ended up with a garish plastic tiara with the words ‘birthday princess’ on my desk for some reason. It’s been many months since anyone had a birthday in the house. Yet, if the tiara isn’t part of the recreation on the spaceship, it wouldn’t quite feel like home.

How would you describe Percy’s personality? It’s for a rp, and I want to know how to play him

Oh gosh, Nonnie it’s been years since I’ve written him but thinking about his personality is actually quite nostalgic. I would say Percival’s hardworking, has a strong work ethic and a moral compass that aligns strongly with the law. However, he’s earnest and, in the privacy of his home, where he can relax, he can be soft and gentle.

But that’s just one interpretation of him. The beauty of a character with such little canon information is that you can make him into who you want him to be. His whole story is in your hands, you get to bring him to life as you see him. So go and have fun, enjoy your RP and be the Percy you want to be!

Spotlight: Teddy Sweet

Meet Teddy, the one you can expect predominantly happy endings from should the story ever veer away from humour or the absurd.

It took a while for Teddy to find writing was where their heart lies. A detour into psychology and care of injured wildlife equipped them with skills they never realised they’d need in life - namely rugby tackling swans and talking to drunk Glaswegians at 2am on the phone. This proved especially exciting as English is not their native language.

More often than not, Teddy can be found working away on either their next romance novel or, as it has been for the last 2 months, on a commission for a crime novel.

The Bet

I know I’ve banged on about The Shot enough before and I don’t want to frustrate people with it but…I now have a bet going on with a friend.

As you probably know, all profits from The Shot are going to @octopunkmedia to help fund the second part to Detroit Awakening. Which is where the bet comes in. My friend doesn’t think The Shot can sell 100 copies and has said that if it does, he will match the profits with a donation. Which means that at over 100 copies sold, not only will Octopunk Media get the profits all the books sold but the equivalent in a bonus donation too. So what can you do to help?

I know feel-good gay romance between a hitman and a photographer isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. So I’m not asking you to go any buy it. However, if you want to help in other ways, you can follow this link and signal boost it. Spread the word about it, take it to other platforms such as Twitter, Pillowfort and wherever else you think there might be interest. Life had plateaued at the top for Fred, awards and accolades littered his shelves in recognition of his talents as a photographer. It was all great but the novelty had worn off and he was at yet another exhibition opening for his works. Only by chance did he bump into an eccentric young man who went by the name of Six and made jokes about killing people. Fred found himself drawn to Six, delighting in his odd sense of humour and vast knowledge of the criminal justice system. Assuming that Six was a defence attorney or something similar, Fred allowed himself to slowly fall in love. The only problem was that Six had never lied.
