September 18, 2022 Book of choice: Me Before You Author: Jojo Moyes
Dear diary, I think the reason people love books so much is because they provide a certain level of escape, whether that escape is for their problems, just everyday life or the world in general it all goes silent when you are holding a book in your hands. I guess in simple terms that’s what I’m doing: escaping the problems that are swirling in my life. I do not know why I’m choosing to read Me Before You by Jojo Moyes, I saw the movie, (And bawled) so I know how the story is going to end. Ever since reading A Walk to remember though, my perspective has changed on reading books that I have seen the movie to. I feel like reading the book gives an insight to the characters and a deeper look into the story the author themselves was trying to convey. Also as I was putting hashtags under my post I noticed something. Why aren’t there any hashtags like: Readers corner or Readers community?

Pandora's Jar
I get scared at the intensity
Of all my pain that I've kept in a jar
With a tightly sealed lid.
I am scared of what would happen
If I loosen that lid
If I let some of my hurt show.
If I open that jar
I'm scared
Of how the people who filled the jar
Would react to the everything
That I unleash
As I pour all the pain away
Into the world
Until the jar is empty. -The Scrivener Witch/Lady Scrivener
