lacey had been with the team, hanging out at the library and gossiping for hours. she was just about to head out to meet axel when she unexpectedly bumped into sawyer. her eyes immediately scanned his face, and her stomach dropped. he’d been in a fight? “what the hell happened to you?” she asked sharply, stepping closer. her hand moved to cup his chin, gently tilting his face up so she could get a better look in the dim light. her brows furrowed as she inspected the damage. “who punched you, sawyer?” her voice softened for a second, but there was still an edge of frustration underneath. she could feel his tension, and it only made her more irritated. “you don’t fucking want it? i did nothing, and now you’re talking to me like that?” she snapped, her temper flaring. “what the fuck is going on with you?”
Sawyer’s hand was pressed hard against his nose as he walked through the door, the blood still warm and sticky beneath his fingers. He could feel the bruise blooming around his eye, the dull ache radiating through his temple. The brim of his cap low lay over the front of his face - trying to hide what he could, but it wasn’t enough. The moment he stepped into the room , he heard the soft shuffle of footsteps, and then — he ran straight into Lacey. For a brief, heart-stopping second, he stood frozen, feeling the heat of her eyes before she could see what was really going on under the layers he was desperately trying to hide. His jaw clenched, eyes flickering downward, and when he spoke, his voice came out harsh, tinged with frustration. “Look, if you're gonna stand there and throw me a fuckin' pity party - " he said, trying to brush past her, but there was something in the tightness of his posture that betrayed him, “ - then I don’t fucking want it.”

lacey knew what she wanted, and for a while, that was sawyer—his messy blond hair, that easy smile. but she’d come to realize that looks and titles couldn’t hold a relationship together. they both knew things between them were fading, even if the world still saw them as the perfect couple: the head cheerleader and the football captain, the classic pair. but lately, her attention kept drifting to axel. he was different, and she loved that. the thrill of it, the rush that came with keeping their connection a secret—it was intoxicating. as axel pulled her in, his hands gripping her, and she felt his breath hot against her lips, she looked up, water streaming over his face. he was a sight, and it was sending a shiver through her. “why would i?” she murmured with a smirk, her lips hovering close. “getting you worked up is exactly what i want,” she added, shrugging, then nudging him back so she could stand under the water, letting it run over her body. “so, this is your dream, axel,” she teased, her voice low and inviting, “what’s next?”
axel knew more than anyone that sawyer would fight him if anybody found out about him hooking up with his best friends girl in secret. axel knew he could probably make a move on any of the cheerleaders but the rest of the girls didn't have that glint in their eye that lacey had without even trying too. she was the head cheerleader and the way she bossed around the other girl's made her stand out to him. what could he say? axel was into a girl with control and leadership. sawyer was the football team captain why is why axel didn't know if lacey would want to have a trial run with him. he wasn't the top dog. axel was up and coming but sometimes his mind was elsewhere. however, he was the life of the party - the guy that went overboard, got lit, and invited everyone he knew to come and have fun with him. axel stuttered over his next sentence as lacey told him to fold her once he'd asked how flexible she was feeling tonight. he guessed that explained just how flexible she was feeling if she answered that confidently to him. lacey leaned in and kissed him as his hands roamed down from the girl's back to her butt as he growled slightly into the kiss and pulled back with a gentle bit of the girl's bottom lip. axel faced the shower head to let the water cascade over his face. "holy fucking fuck. you gotta stop saying all that hot shit all the time."

lacey figured she'd probably regret her choices at some point, but right now? yeah, that was not one of those times. her relationship was a mess anyway, so she could do what she wanted. sure, she had a boyfriend, but where was it written that she couldn’t follow her gut? it’s not like sawyer gave her this kind of thrill—was that really her fault? maybe it was actually on him for never noticing she needed something different. his focus was always on axel anyway, so who could blame her for it? she knew what she wanted, and she wanted the hot football player. all her smiles in that stadium were for him. her boyfriend and the rest of the team didn’t even matter. "oh, i can and i will," she teased, grinning as he started undoing his pants. her heart pounded, her eyes fixed on him while he got the water running. seeing the steam rise and cascade over his body had her smiling. it was definitely getting hot in here. “hot and true,” she nodded, wrapping her arms around his neck as he picked her up with ease, her legs winding around his waist. “how flexible? fold me,” she smirked, “you’re not gonna break me, but you can try.” she winked at him, leaning in to kiss him deeply, her mind racing with anticipation for whatever he had planned.
axel knew that he shouldn't have been seeing his best friends girlfriend in secret but he couldn't not shoot his shot and hope to score. why wouldn't he try if she was seemed to show him interest?the cheerleaders were axel's type of girls and everybody knew it. sometimes he would get too distracted watching the girls doing a routine from the sidelines and be caught up in his own little world. axel could remember standing there mindlessly watching them all. those girls were all confident, skilled, and were all flexible as fuck. lacey was the head cheerleader and therefore caught his attention. she'd be the cheerleader in the center being lifted into the spotlight. axel bit his lip and looked away from the girl's eyes as she teased him. "you can't just go telling me things like that and get me all excited." axel's gaze went back to the girl again and she raised a brow at him. she was just as good at this game as him and knew his weak spots. lacey's eyes drifted to him un-buttoning his pants which made him drop them around his ankles and kick them away from the drains before getting rid of the rest of his clothes just as quickly as she did. axel reached up to the shower head and switched the nozzle - looking up as the water began to cascade down both his face and onto his body as the noise began to fill the room. "yeah? that's hot. i thought just as much when my hands went right down there." axel's hand hoisted the girl's thigh up to his hip as he thought about what to do next. "just how flexible are we feeling tonight?" lacey had just come back from a routine. axel didn't want to be selfish if she already feeling sore from all the cheer-leading.

sawyer and lacey had been together longer than most people could even remember—since their last two years of high school, way before they started university. back then, lacey thought she’d end up marrying him. but now, marriage wasn't something she even wanted to think about, especially not with sawyer. he had become the easy, predictable option—the one everyone would have expected her to choose. but there was no spark between them anymore, not like there used to be. when she was with axel, though, everything felt different. he was unpredictable, exciting. being around him made her want to know everything about him, spend time together, and live in the moment. it wasn't the safest option, but that’s exactly what she liked about it. the danger, the thrill—being with axel felt like the opposite of the life she had with sawyer. "oh, you've imagined me in every position possible?" lacey asked with a playful smirk, her tone teasing as she threw him a look. "lucky for you, i'm flexible," she teased again, eyes gleaming with mischief. she couldn't deny that she'd thought about him too, dreamed about being with him, even when she was still with sawyer. "oh, i'm a tease?" she raised her eyebrows at him, her smirk growing. she knew she was teasing him, pushing the limits. with axel, everything felt like a game, and she loved the way he responded to her. as she got rid of her remaining clothes, her eyes locked on is hands, unclasping the button of his jeans. "oh, i'm drippnig wet already, some water doesn't scare me" she mused.
axel couldn't go back on flirting with lacey once he started doing it. which sane guy wouldn't flirt back with a girl that looked like she did? lacey was drop dead gorgeous. lacey was different to the rest of the girls around this place. she was the one girl that he wasn't supposed to want but wanted more than anything else in the world. she was also his best friend's girlfriend. sawyer was the football captain and the top dog. every guy on campus envied him. axel didn't know how their friendship would change if sawyer found about him hooking up with his girlfriend in secret. axel thought back on his dreams with the girl in front of him. what hadn't she done in those dreams of his? he'd probably imagined every possible scenario at this point. a smug smirk appeared on his face. "shit, what didn't you do? i've probably had you in every which way in those dreams. i can't pin point a certain move or a certain position." axel had a very vivid imagination and lacey had been at the forefront of his mind late at night and during early morning rises. "i'm the tease? i'm pretty sure that's you telling me you can make my dreams come true." axel didn't know how much truth was held behind those words yet he hoped he could make good of them at some point. his gaze trailed to the girl's skirt pooling to the floor as she looked back at him with a wicked looking grin and then to the shower head. axel started working on unclasping the button of his jeans as he reached a hand up to the shower head above them. "are you sure you don't mind getting a little wet?"

lacey couldn’t focus on anything but axel as his lips trailed down her jawline, sending a shiver through her. her eyes fluttered closed, soaking in the way he made her feel, something her boyfriend hadn’t done in years. with him, it was all for show—the head cheerleader and the football captain, the perfect couple everyone admired. but behind closed doors, all she could think about was axel, her boyfriend’s best friend. at first, sneaking around felt wrong, but now? it felt exhilarating. her smirk widened at axel’s teasing. "the hot ones, huh?" she teased back, amused by the thought of him dreaming about her while she was with her boyfriend. "and what do i do in those dreams?" her voice was low, filled with a playful challenge. "maybe i can make it real," she added with a mischievous raise of her brow, her body buzzing with anticipation. when axel squeezed her, she let out a soft laugh. "you're such a tease," she murmured, but she wasn’t complaining. she stepped out of her skirt, letting it pool on the floor, then looked up at him with a grin. "thinking we could use some steam," she said, her eyes drifting to the showerhead above. "is that something you imagined, maddox?" her tone was full of suggestion as she stripped off the top part of her uniform, leaving her feeling bolder than ever.
everybody that knew axel knew that he didn't have the worlds greatest dating history and was always spotted with a new girl. people gave him attention and he basked in it and let them give it him until he got bored of them. sawyer was axel's best friend and knew seeing lacey behind his back would probably end up with them possibly falling out if it's something that he ever got to learn about. how couldn't he give attention to sawyer's girlfriend when she was flirting with him though? it was impossible to ignore a girl as beautiful as lacey who was hitting on him as often as he was doing the exact same thing. axel started to kiss the girl's jawline as she asked what kind of dreams he was having about her as her hands trailed up his chest and pressed against his warm tan coloured skin. "you know, the hot ones. the ones where i wake up and can't think of anything but wanting to face time you while you're next to sawyer." still, up until this point, axel had resisted pressing the face time button while lacey was lying in bed with his best friend and instead caught up with her in moments alone like this evenings session. a smirk landed onto his face as lacey explained that sawyer had nothing on him and wouldn't stand a chance against him. his expression washed right back off his face again when lacey dared him to make her scream inside the locker room. he didn't know what he expected her to say but it probably wasn't that. she knew how to get him all hot and bothered in a matter of seconds. it was a skill to say the least. "strip down for me then and i'll make the whole damn building hear you." axel's hand slid down to the back of lacey's skirt as he gave her bum a quick squeeze. "if you wanna get naked - let's get naked. my hand's not gonna cut it for a scream."

she knew she wasn’t a good girlfriend, and she never pretended to be. playing the role of sawyer's devoted partner was easy, but it was all an act. her thoughts were always on axel. sawyer never quite figured out how to be the partner she needed, but axel—he was everything she craved. he was hot, confident, and knowing he was always thinking about her made it impossible to resist him. as axel spoke, the brunette bit down on her lower lip, the thrill of his attention sending a rush through her. maybe she wasn’t the only one who was obsessed. "every single night… what kind of dreams do you have of me?" she asked, her voice low and flirtatious as her hands trailed up his chest, savoring the feel of him. "i wonder if he knows he doesn’t stand a chance against you," she mused, a smirk tugging at her lips. the thought of accidentally moaning axel's name terrified her, but it also excited her. the risk made it all the more intense. "make me scream then," she dared him, the challenge in her voice unmistakable.
axel couldn't help liking his best friend's girlfriend even though he knew it went against every best friend code imaginable. sawyer didn't treat his girl right. it was his loss. axel was making up in the department that sawyer seemed to be lacking in. sneaking into the changing rooms after the rest of the guys had left after a game was axel's best chance at seeing lacey behind everybody's back without getting caught. lacey was hot in a way that axel couldn't describe into words. she captured everyone's attention every time she was on the field with a face that looked almost goddess like. "twenty-four seven. i can't think of a time where my thoughts don't run back to you." axel was pretty obsessed with lacey at this point. she was everything that he desired. "every single night without fail." lacey always appeared in his mind's eyes at night. axel wished he could sneak into the girl's room and stay there without any trouble. unfortunately, that was too risky at this point, which is why they had private moments like this in public spaces. he nudged his nose against the girl's as she mentioned that she was always worried that she was going to moan his name instead of sawyer's which amused him ever so slightly. "i wonder if he knows i'm into you." maybe axel would test the limits of that soon. maybe he'd wrap his arms around the girl's middle and rest his head against her shoulder while he spoke to sawyer or start a drunken party game where he could flirt with lacey a little in front of everybody else. "don't be afraid to be however loud you want within these walls."

he wanted her to think about him all the time, which was something that happened even if she didn't want it to at first. when she started looking at axel in a more-than-friendly way, she wanted to stop herself. she knew that was wrong, but those discreet looks, the way he looked at her whenever they were training—it was hard to resist. she didn't feel that rush whenever her boyfriend looked at her, and, even if she wanted to, her relationship with sawyer was over. but the way axel wanted so badly to be in her mind was really something. "am i in your mind all the time?" she asked, "am i your last thought of the day?" she asked, whispering against his lips. her eyes closed and her head moved back, giving him more space to kiss her neck. that really felt amazing. her head moved to rest against his as he pulled away to talk to her. "yes, you're always in my mind," she nodded, biting down her lower lip, "i'm always scared of moaning your name instead of his," lacey confessed, her hands moving to rest on his shoulder. "you're so hot."
axel knew that seeing his best friends girlfriend behind back was against everything that guys were supposed to do to each other but how could he help himself when lacey looked so damn hot all the time? axel would admit to being a fan of the cheer-leading outfits. he was all for the short skirts, the mini crop tops and the pom poms. lacey was obviously the hottest girl on the squad and he couldn't be convinced otherwise. he didn't know how she seemed to capture his attention every single time. sawyer would've probably hit him already if he knew he was seeing his girl in secret. axel didn't try and be discreet with his looks either because he wanted lacey to notice. "i wanna be on you mind all of the time, darling. i want you to think of me even when you're at your boyfriends place." axel wanted to be the last thought of lacey's mind before she went to sleep at night. the girl's first thought in the morning. axel continued to press kisses against the girl's neck until she re-positioned his head to kiss him more passionately that had him moaning into the girl's mouth. he didn't stop his hands from pleasing the girl all the while they were making-out and pressing their bodies against one another's. "do you think about me when you're with him?"

axel and lacey were two sides of the same coin, both cheating on their partners. that would have alarmed her a while ago, but now, she knew sawyer wasn't right for her. she didn't feel that rush around him anymore; it wasn't the same. some people just weren't meant to be together. but axel? axel made her feel amazing. she had noticed him when she started dating sawyer, but the way axel looked at her drove her crazy. she didn't care if he looked at the other cheerleaders; she knew he was really looking at her, and she loved that. she cheered for him, not her boyfriend, not the team—just axel. even if she was nervous about getting caught, axel made her forget about everything else. her arms wrapped around his neck as he touched her under her uniform. "make me forget about everything but you," she whispered against his lips, tilting her head to deepen the heated kiss. "you're the only one," she assured him, her eyes closing as his fingers moved in and out of her. at this point, the world around them didn't matter anymore. she cupped his cheeks, gently pulling him away from her neck to press her lips against his once more, this kiss more needy than the last.
sayer didn't know that axel was screwing around with his girlfriend behind his back. lacey was the one that axel's heart always chased after and nothing would stop him. sawyer was the first one to make his move (which axel regretted) but that still didn't seem to be working out too well for him when sawyer was no where to be seen and lacey was hiding away in the guys locker room with her boyfriend's very best friend. axel wouldn't pretend that he didn't check out all the cheerleaders because of the outfits they wore and pretending to everyone else that he fancied every one of them. lacey, however, was the one that caught his attention and that he'd stare right at. axel half regretted not joining the cheer-leading team to be able to be the one holding the girl up in stunt's. maybe she could take him aside one time and get some practice in? axel wouldn't mind being the base if it meant that he could get his hands all over her. lacey's attention turned back to him and that was enough to give him the green light. axel started to press his mouth against the girl's as his hands toyed underneath the girl's cheer-leading skirt and starting entering the girl exactly where she needed him. "don't think, lace. just feel." with that, he turned them around so lacey was the one pressed against the cool tiles. axel started to press a line of kisses down lacey's neck - using this new position to his advantage so that his hands could go in and out of lacey's body without cramping. lacey's pleasure was the only thing on his mind. "who's the only one who can make you feel this good, huh?"

she felt like a bad person. she had a boyfriend who had been part of her life for a while now, but she somehow felt that flame was slowly dying out, maybe sawyer felt that too, or maybe it was just her. but axel gave her that rush, the rush she never felt with her current boyfriend. she wanted more, he made her heart race, he made her want to do something that was wrong. his words, confessing he checked out all the girls, made her raise her eyebrows, but a smirk tugged the corners of her lips as he confessed she was the only cheerleader he wanted to make out with. that almost made her knees weak. he was a total player, and she found that hot. even if all she wanted to focus on was axel, the thought of someone finding them there together was in the back of her mind. her eyes moved to meet his as those words came fromhis lips. she bit down her lower lip as hand made it's way undernead her skirt, touching her. "help me forget about everything else," she murmured, leaning in to kiss him. their lips met with a newfound urgency, as she resolved to lose herself in axel's embrace.
axel knew that seeing his best friend's girlfriend wasn't really the right thing to do. yet, it didn't stop him and wouldn't stop him. he wasn't going to stop for anyone. axel was absolutely in love with all the cheerleaders and couldn't get enough of the cute cheer leading outfits the girls wore when they cheered for the team competing in a sport. sometimes it distracted him when he was too busy checking out lacey instead of paying attention to who was passing him the ball or about to tackle him. axel knew the other guys would always tease him for having his head in the clouds. he was easily distracted and had been for as long as he could remember back. losing track was something his coach would always moan at him about. "i look at all of you on the team but i only ever want to be making out with one cheerleader on the team, baby." axel loved how women looked - especially the one standing right in front of him now. lacey's fingers have tangled in the back of his hair when she leans forward to kiss him. axel notices the girl look over her should nervously so he gently pressing his finger against lacey's chin to turn her face towards him again. nobody else should matter. "stop worrying, alright? i'll come up with an excuse if anyone walks into here, lace." axel's hand slips underneath lacey's skirt and snakes underneath every piece of fabric until he starts to touch the girl. "just let me distract you from everything else."

no one would think she's a good girlfriend. cheating on her boyfriend with his best friend? she's pretty sure if anyone caught wind of it, she'd be called all sorts of names she'd rather not dwell on. but thoughts like that fade when axel's around. she watches him play with her skirt, his eyes tracing its movements as he shifts it back and forth. "well, i hope i'm the one actually distracting you, not anyone else," she quips, a smirk dancing on her lips. his arm wraps around her neck, and she follows him until they're pressed against the shower tiles. her hand finds its way to the back of his head, fingers tangling in his hair as she kisses him with fervor. she can't remember the last time she kissed sawyer like this. when he pulls away, lacey instinctively looks back, worried they might've been caught up too much in the moment. "y-e-s," she confirms, a playful smirk still lingering as she leans in eagerly to press her lips against axel's, her hand trailing up his torso as she does so.
axel made sure to stamp on his best friend's team sweatshirt on his way past because he didn't care for it. sawyer was the last person in the world that he cared about at the moment while lacey was in here. axel stepped backwards and looked down at the girl's cheerleading mini skirt which he couldn't help but to admire for a couple of seconds because he loved the way that looked and moved on the girls who cheered in them. his hands reached down to to the hem of the girl's skirt as he flicked it up wards slightly and watched it fly up in his hands and fall back down into place again. "you already know what these cheer outfits do to me. i can't even concentrate on the games sometimes when i look to the side and see you all bouncing around or do the splits or doing those cool stunts the flyers do in the air." axel was sometimes jealous of the male's that got to hold up the flyers on the cheer-leading team. if he wasn't already part of the team he would've definitely tried out for the cheer leading team just to assist with that role. axel's arm wrapped around the girl's neck as he walked backwards until he pressed himself back against one of the tile walls where the showers in the room were set up for the guys to clean themselves after a game. axel started to make out with the girl before pulling back with a smirk on his face. "you wanna see my spirit fingers?"

lacey knew she wasn't the best person, how could she be when she was cheating on her boyfriend? they'd been together forever, you know? at first, she was head over heels for sawyer. they were like prom royalty, ruling the dance floor a couple of times. but lately, things just felt… stale. waiting for him at the entrance, the routine drive home, his arm around her shoulder in front of his buddies—it didn't light her up like it used to. that spark, that rush? it came from somewhere else now. enter axel, the new excitement in her life. sneaking around, stealing moments together—lacey didn't think she was evil for craving that thrill. she took a step back as the door swung open, revealing axel, still sweaty and shirtless. arms crossed, wearing her boyfriend's team sweatshirt, she gently nudged him inside, closed the door behind her, and tossed the sweatshirt to the floor. it was like a silent declaration that sawyer was no longer occupying her thoughts. "i'm all yours," she assured him, shrugging off the sweatshirt. "so, gonna kiss me or just admire my skirt?" she teased, a smirk playing on her lips, her heart racing with excitement.
axel wouldn't have said that he was the best man on his college's sports team but he'd always put in one-hundred percent of his effort in. his talents just lay elsewhere. axel's best friend was seeing one of the cheerleaders (lacey) and had been for a good couple of months now. he still honestly didn't know how that guy had got the girl's attention. the cheerleaders were the IT girls on campus, the popular clique, the girls nobody else could touch or say anything about without having people at their throats. sneaking around with lacey behind his band mates (and best friends) back was something he knew shouldn't have been happening but he couldn't help but feeling some attraction towards lacey with how much they all hung out. lacey was part of the close friendship group that would get invited to each others houses to party until god knows what hours in the morning. the massive parties were always lit no matter what. tonight, however, axel had stayed in the guys locker room after the game and had waited until everybody else had left. he waved each team-mate off one by one and had text lacey when the coast was clear and nobody else was around him anymore. "i'm positive, lacey. i'm the last one in here." axel stood and walked over towards the locker room door to open it and prove that he was the last man standing in the room. he swung the door open to reveal himself standing there - still sweaty and shirtless. "you coming in at any point or are you just going to stand there gawking?"

lacey knew she shouldn't be doing this. she should have stayed by the field, cheering for her boyfriend, but instead, her eyes landed on axel. at first, she tried to ignore it, screaming her boyfriend's name loudly and shaking her pom-poms to distract herself from his teammate. but now things were more difficult. difficult in the sense that lacey had never wanted trouble, but she found herself sneaking around to see axel behind her boyfriend's back. she wasn't proud of it, but there was something about him that simply drew her in like a magnet. "are you sure everyone left?" she asked in a whisper by the locker room's door. she had told her boyfriend she had something to do that night with her roommate, and she was asked to cover for her. now, all she needed was to walk inside that locker room without anyone seeing her. "maddox, can you hear me?" / @axel-maddox
