One of my favorite things in the LOTR books is Sam being obsessed with Elven magic and wanting to see it and when Galadriel finds out she basically tells Sam "I don't know what the fuck magic is but I can show you the future in this bowl of water if you want" as if that's just a normal ass thing to be able to do.

i havent bought new clothes in like a year and all i want is a fucking nice satin skirt but alllll the sustainable brands just make such ugly clothes???? like here i am willing to pay 100€+ for a fucking piece of fabric to maintain my illusion of a moral high ground yet everything looks like its been pulled from a cows ass!!!!! maybe people would be more willing to make the switch to sustainable clothing if it didn't look like shit??? what a novel idea??? people are vain and dont want to pay 200€ to look like a sack of potatoes??? who wouldve fucking thought
