Please don’t plagiarize my work, you may reblog if you like but I’m asking that you don’t steal my hard work
Your little hands wrapped around my finger
Bruce looked down at you, only a couple weeks old, so tiny. So fragile. So innocent and unknowing to the horrors of the world.
You had woken up in the middle of the night, screaming and crying, so of course he had gotten up with you, especially after Jason threatened to throw you out of the window if you woke him up again.
Bruce couldn’t tell if he was joking or not.
Finally, after what felt like hours of crying and screaming, you seemed to calm down and you looked up at Bruce in an innocent wonder.
He reached down and began to adjust your shirt that had moved to an awkward angle with all of your squirming.
He paused when you reached up slowly and wrapped your hand around his index finger.
Ever since your mother had dropped you off here, claiming to Bruce that you were his daughter and she didn’t want to take care of you anymore, he had vowed he would do anything to protect you.
As he looked down at you with soft features, he couldn’t help but smile softly, “Hi, honey.” He whispered.
And it’s so quiet in the world tonight
It was weird.
All night you had been completely silent, no screaming, no crying.
While Alfred, Dick, and Bruce were all gratefully taking this opportunity to sleep without worrying about having to get up every five minutes, Jason on the other hand, didn’t like how quiet it was, it felt as if something was wrong.
As silently as he could, he snuck through the halls and into the nursery that Bruce had immediately had put in as soon as you showed up.
Don’t get him wrong, Jason didn’t like you at all. Nope. No way, no how. You were just an annoying baby that moved right into the manor not too long after him, which was only about a month ago.
He had still been in the process of adjusting to his new life, and then a baby was thrown into the mix, so if anything, he hated you.
As he opened the door and crept into your room, he didn’t really know what he was expecting. But he certainly wasn’t expecting you to be wide awake, just staring at the ceiling, not screaming and not crying like you always did whenever you were awake.
Even as you watched Jason approach you, you didn’t scream out and begin the waterworks that he was inevitably waiting for.
Pretty soon, Jason was standing right over you, staring down at you with just as much curiosity as you were to him.
Jason hesitated before slowly reaching down and gently picking you up.
All you did was stare up at him, and he continued to stare down at you.
Your little eyelids flutter cause your dreaming
Jason sat with four year old you on his lap, bouncing his knees up and down as you giggled every time you went up, almost flying in the air if it weren’t for his hands holding your sides, keeping you from going airborne.
Dick sat on the other side of Jason, secretly snapping a picture on his phone before turning his head back to the cartoon that the two had put on the tv for you. Though it seemed that they were enjoying it more than you were.
Bruce was out for the day with Alfred and they hesitantly trusted the boys to watch you, after a whole lot of begging on the younger ones' parts.
“Higher, Jay!” You called suddenly, still giggled.
The boy smiled slightly before bouncing you higher, causing Dick to look at the two of you nervously.
“You know, Jay, I think she’s going high enough.” He said, not taking his nervous gaze off of you, ready to leap forward at any moment if you were to fly out of his younger brother's arms.
He just shrugged, continuing to bounce you higher.
Fifteen minutes, and almost a heart attack, later, your giggled stopped and Jason’s leg slowed, and he looked down to see if you were okay, only to see you leaning against his chest with closed eyes and even breathing.
“Dickie,” Jason hissed, trying to get his older brother's attention.
He hummed in return, not looking away from the new cartoon.
“She’s asleep.”
That made Dick look over and he cooed over you in adoration.
“I think she’s dreaming.” Jason continued softly, watching you.
Dick nodded in return, snapping another photo.
So I tuck you in, turn on your favorite night light
“No, daddy!” You screamed, running away from an exhausted looking Bruce.
“It’s way past your bedtime, honey.” He practically begged, just wanting to go and get a nap in before he had to go on patrol.
You ran around the dining room table again, forcing Bruce to try and go after you.
Jason walked into the room calmly sipping a cup of coffee, “Wow, B. The five year old is faster than you.”
“Shut up.” The order man grunted in return, “Or help me get her to bed.”
His adopted son pretended to think about it, “Nah, I’m good.” Before turning on his heel and going back the way he came.
Bruce grumbled under his breath, promising himself that he would give Jason an earful later about respect.
He stopped running when an idea came to his mind, “Hey, n/n. If you get ready for bed then I’ll give you a surprise.”
You slowed your running in curiosity and looked at your father, “What kind of surprise?”
Bruce shrugged, “Guess you're going to have to see.”
The curiosity that you were feeling got the best of you and you quickly ran up the many stairs and got into your pj’s and hopped in bed.
A couple seconds after, Bruce walked in with something behind his back, which made you crane your neck to try and see what he was holding.
He bent down at one of your outlets without saying anything, plugging something in with his back covering what he was doing, then stood up and flicked off the lights.
You looked at him in confusion before he said, “Look up.”
So you did.
The sight above you made you gasp, it was the bat symbol on your ceiling, from the nightlight that Bruce had just placed in.
Batman had always been your favorite Gotham vigilante and you told your family about it all of the time, though your two brothers constantly tried to tell you that Nightwing and Robin were way better.
Bruce was able to slip out of the room unnoticed as you continued to stare up at your ceiling, not taking your eyes off of it until they started to droop.
And pretty soon, you were peacefully asleep.
To you, everything’s funny
You waddled down the stairs, scurrying into the dining room with a large grin on your face, following the delicious smell of Alfred’s pancakes.
When you got there, you were greeted with the sight of your father, Alfred, your brothers, and even your new brother, Tim, who just joined you guys at the manor about two months ago.
Six year old you had been ecstatic to gain a new brother, thinking that you could get away with more than you could with your other brothers.
“Good morning, n/n!” Dick called cheerfully, rushing over and scooping you up in his arms before plopping you down into the seat next to his and across from Tim.
“Morning, Timmy!” You exclaimed excitedly, still in the phase of becoming joyful whenever you would see the new face.
He hummed lazily in return, head in his hand as if he was putting his entire weight into it against the table. There were dark circles under his eyes that insinuated yet another restless night for him.
Sitting in front of him was a bowl of cereal, barely touched, with a spoon resting in it.
Just as you were about to turn to your own breakfast, Tim’s arm fell under the weight of his head and his eyes were closed, making him fall face first into his bowl.
Everyone looked up in surprise as the boy shot straight up in his seat, now fully awake.
Before anyone could even ask if he was okay, you let out a loud laugh. You laughed and laughed and laughed.
You were laughing so hard that you had doubled over slightly against the table with your arms wrapped around your stomach, “Silly Timmy!” You exclaimed, pointing a finger at him in between giggles.
He grumbled under his breath, taking a napkin and harshly wiping milk off his face, “Glad someone finds it funny.”
You’ve got nothing to regret
Bruce stood before you with his hands on his hips and his eyebrows raised so high that they were lost in his hair.
“Care fo explain?” He asked sternly.
You shook your head back and forth quickly, trying to put your hand over your mouth as if it would hide your giggles, “No, daddy!” You cheered back, trying to keep up your innocent act.
“You’re six now, Y/n,” He reminded you, “You should start taking responsibility for your actions.”
“But I didn’t do it!” You protested, though your wide grin told a whole different story.
“I suppose the vase just fell over on its own then,” Your father said sarcastically.
You jumped on that story, nodding your head vigorously, “Yeah! It fell over on its own, daddy!”
He sighed, bending down and scooping you up into his arms, playfully poking your stomach, “You’re too stubborn for your own good…” He trailed off before snickering slightly, “I suppose you get that from me.”
I’d give all I have honey, if you could stay like that
“Jay Jay!” You cheered, immediately hopping into your elder brother's arms as soon as he exited the batmobile.
With a small chuckle, he caught you effortlessly before bringing you to a tight hug to his chest, “And how’s my favorite little sister doing this evening?” He asked jokingly.
You laughed loudly, shaking your head at his silly actions, “I’m your only sister!” You accused.
He pretended to think, “Hmm, is that so?”
Before you could try and reinforce that, Tim and Dick exited the vehicle as well, “Timmy! Dickie!” You cheered, causing Jason to scowl at the pair for pulling your attention away.
Dick squealed excitedly, rushing over and ripping you out of his grip and into his own, “N/n!”
Tim reached over and ruffled your hair slightly in affection.
“Daddy! Daddy!” If it was possible, your face lit up even more as your father appeared, shedding off his cowl and striding over to you.
“Hey there, honey.” He greeted with a small chuckle, gently removing you from his eldest sons grip and bringing you into his own, “Isn’t it a little past your bedtime?” He teased, playfully rubbing his nose against yours.
You giggled at the tickling feeling and pull back slightly, “Nuh uh, daddy! Grandpa said I can stay up to see you!”
“Is that so?” Bruce threw a playfully accusing glare to Alfred in the corner of the room, who held his hands up in surrender with a small smile, “Come on,” He huffed teasingly, “Let’s get you to bed.”
“Dickie!” You exclaimed, straining to look over your shoulder at the boy, “Airplane! Airplane!”
With a wide grin, the boy skipped over and carefully removed you from your fathers arms and laid you horizontally so that you could spread out your wingspan and pretend you were flying.
“We should call it the batplane,” Tim snickered.
“Batplane! Batplane!” You chanted in return.
Everyone’s eyes softened as they watched you laugh loudly.
Oh, darlin’, don’t you ever grow up
“Go fish!” You exclaimed sassily, giggling wildly at the feigned expressions of horror that your entire family wore all around the table.
Dick let out a fake groan, dropping his head into his hands, “How do you always win this game?”
You shrugged happily, humming slightly as you picked up the cards, “I’m awesome.” You giggled again.
“Who wants cookies?” Alfred entered the room with a soft smile, it widening slightly at the sound of all the children’s excited squeals.
Dick, Tim, and Jason all shot up out of their seats and began shoving and tackling each other to get to the tray of desserts first while Bruce just ran a hand down his face tiredly.
“Uh, uh, uh,” The older man calmly sidestepped the herd of boys, “Miss. Y/n gets the first one because she is not acting inappropriately.”
You giggled again at their groans of protest, happily reaching for a cookie and leaning up to plant a quick kiss on Alfred’s cheek, “Thank you!” You chirpped, plopping back down into your seat and munching on the treat.
Don't you ever grow up
“What is this thing?” Damian asked in disgust, looking down at your grinning form.
Bruce sighed, bending down and picking you up, you automatically wrapping your arms around his neck in return, “She is your little sister.” He introduced, “Y/n, this is your brother, Damian.”
“More brothers!” You cheered.
Damian scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest, “That thing is not my sister.” He declared stubbornly, turning a harsh glare your way.
“Don’t talk or look at her like that,” Your father scolded with a scowl, but your smile didn’t drop.
“It’s nice to meet you, Dami!” You giggled a little bit, looking up at him with wide, adoring eyes.
“Damian.” He corrected through gritted teeth, “My name is Damian.”
“She’s your sister,” Bruce hissed at him, “You have to learn to deal with that.”
“Dami!” You giggled wildly, making Bruce tighten his grip on you so you didn’t slip out by mistake.
The boy glared at you in a way that promised danger until your father had to step away with you in fear of something actually happening.
“I know you don’t like it,” The man said softly, “But you’re gonna be staying with me at the manor now, and you’re going to have to get used to her.”
The young boy crossed his arms over his chest and began grumbling under his breath. Though, his glare did lessen a bit after those words.
Just stay this little
“What do you think you are doing?” It had been four weeks since Damian moved into the manor, and he had avoided you at all costs.
You whipped around with wide eyes, “Dami!” You squeaked in shock, looking up at your elder brother nervously, “I was just-“
“Have I not specifically informed you not to touch Titus?” He seethed, standing in his bedroom door menacingly.
You looked down guiltily and began shuffling your feet, dropping your hand that had been softly stroking the dog's soft fur from where he was perched on the bed, “I’m sorry,” You mumbled.
The boy scoffed with a roll of his eyes, “I do not want your pathetic apology.” He told you matter of factly.
“Titus is just such a sweet puppy,” You sadly looked up at the dog that had perked up in wonderment as to why you stopped giving him attention.
That made Damian pause, “Oh… yes. He is a good dog.” He replied hesitantly.
“Sorry for bothering you,” You mumbled again, trying to make your way past him.
“Wait,” He surprised both you and himself with his word, but you froze nonetheless, “I suppose it would not hurt for you to pet him for a few more moments.”
A wide grin broke out and your face and you automatically dashed back to the creature and began rubbing behind his ears excitedly.
“I love animals,” You began rambling happily, “They’re so adorable and sweet. I would like to have more pets, I need to tell daddy that we don’t have enough. Maybe I’ll get Jay Jay a snake, I think he’ll like one-“
For the first time, Damian looked at you in a different light. Instead of just seeing some eight year old nuisance, he finally saw a kid only a couple years younger than him that might possibly share some common interests. Maybe having you as a sister wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.
Oh, darlin', don't you ever grow up
“Where are you?” Jason called in a sing-song voice, fighting off a smile as he pretended not to be able to hear your poorly muffled giggles.
He stalked down the long aisles of the bookcases in the library, where he had heard your little feet scamper off into during the beginning of the hide-and-go seek game.
Even though you were now ten years old, you weren’t any better at the game than you were at four years old, but Jason never had the heart to tell you that.
“Are you... over here?” He dramatically rounded one of the corners, raising his voice as he spoke even though he knew full well that you wouldn’t be there.
The sound of your laughter only increased at his failure and the smile grew on his lips as he strode closer and closer to your ‘hiding spot’.
“Now,” He mockingly thought out loud, “I wonder where she could be…”
Right on cue, he threw open a small closet that was tucked in between two bookcases, emitting a shrill shriek from your lips at the sudden brightness and your brother's face grinning down at you.
“Found ya,” He teased.
You laughed, “I wanna do it again, Jay!” You eagerly jumped up and skirted past him, “Count again!”
He chuckled, but placed his hands over his eyes and followed your instructions.
Don't you ever grow up
“And how was your day today, Miss. Y/n?” Alfred asked with a small smile, glancing over his shoulder to where you sat propped up on the counter, kicking your legs back and forth.
“It was good, I saw a puppy today!” You exclaimed excitedly, seemingly having waited for that very question so that you could share the good news.
“Did this puppy happen to live in this manor?” The man hummed in curiosity.
You shook your head back and forth, getting even more excited, “Nope! My teacher brought it into school today and his name is…”
Alfred just listened and nodded along with your joyful rambling, loving the way you got so excited about small things, even as you got older.
It could stay this simple
Many years ago, a tradition had started between you and your siblings that every Friday night before they went on patrol you would all have a movie night in your at-home theater.
Bruce had joined you that night and you were all lounged around on various different couches and chairs comfortably, watching whatever movie Damian had insisted upon watching.
Your father leaned back in his seat with a contempt sigh, grateful for some time to relax after a long day and what would surely turn into a long night.
The credits began rolling, and instead of hearing you and your siblings begin to chat loudly amongst yourselves, it stayed dead silent.
He quickly snapped his head over in alarm, only for his eyes to soften.
You were leaning your head against Dicks shoulder with his head on top of yours, sleeping soundly on a nearby couch. Tim, Damian, and Jason were also asleep on their nearby pieces of furniture.
A small smile tugged at the ends of the man’s lips and he stood up silently, he would let them all rest. He could survive one night without them.
I won't let nobody hurt you
“I’m gonna kill you!” Your classmate roared, reeling his fist back and getting ready to release it in your face.
Unwavering, you stood your ground with your arms in front of yourself protectively as you stared him down, completely unafraid.
He was a stereotypical mean boy jock that just so happened to make the wrong comment in front of you. And when you called him out on it, he had been less than happy. Everything quickly escalated from there into a full out fist fight outside after school.
Easily, you ducked and side stepped his pathetic attempt at a punch, sending him stumbling forward because he made the rookie mistake of putting all his weight behind it.
Reaching over, you socked him in the face in one swift motion, sending him flying back down.
“You bitch!” He cried, emitting some laughs from the onlooking crowd due to his embarrassed state.
Quickly, he got up and went to lunge at you.
“What is happening?” Damian’s voice made everyone freeze, your older brother having been able to intimidate everyone in the school.
The boy froze at the sound of the older boy and slowly turned towards him with wide eyes, paling even further at the sight of his glare.
“Sh-she-“ He tried to stutter out.
Damian paid him no mind, calmly turning to face you, “What happened?”
“He tried to hit me after I called him out for being an asshole,” You spit out.
Menacingly, your brother turned to said boy and the onlooking crowd held their breath in preparation for what was to come.
A fury seemed to set in the already embarrassed boys gut, because he let out a scream of rage and went to lunge at both of you this time.
“What the hell is going on here?” Yet another booming voice stopped all further action as none other than Jason Todd came stomping angrily through the crowd towards you and Damian.
If everyone was scared of Damian, then they were down right petrified of Jason.
Everyone in the school had heard the horror stories of when your brother ran amok in the halls and reeking havoc during his high school years.
Quickly, everyone scrambled away from the scene, except for the boy, whose collar Damian was holding onto.
“He tried to fight our sister.” The boy informed your older brother calmly.
“Is that so?” Jason turned to him with his eyebrows raised mockingly before he smiled in a similar manner, “We can’t have that, now can we?”
Won't let no one break your heart
“Where are you going?” It was an innocent question, simple even, but it still made you freeze in your steps nonetheless.
Slowly, you turned on your heel to face your brothers, who all now looked up from whatever they were doing in the living room to stare at you in curiosity.
“You look nice!” Dick chirped.
“Thanks,” You tried your best to keep your voice from wavering, failing.
Jason however, wasn’t as easily distracted as your eldest brother, “Where are you going looking so nice?”
From beside him, Tim raised an eyebrow, piecing it together pretty quickly. Unlike the rest of your brothers, who for the most part were slowly but surely getting it.
It was silent for a moment before Dicks eyes widened in horror and he shot to his feet, “You’re going on a date?” He shrieked in horror.
You blew out a huff of air, “It’s no big deal.”
“I beg to differ!” He had begun dramatically doubling over and hyperventilating.
Jason narrowed his eyes, “Who are you going on a date with?”
“A date?” Damian looked back and forth between everyone in confusion, “You all told me that she was only fourteen and therefore not allowed to go on one until she was much older.”
You threw your head back with a groan, “That’s not true! I am more than old enough!”
“We just don’t want you getting hurt,” Tim tried to reason calmly.
“You’re too young to date!” Dick sobbed, stumbling over and throwing his arms around you in a tight bear hug.
Jason stood, crossing the room and looking down at you sternly, “I agree with Dickie-Bird, I don’t think you should go on this date.”
“What do you even know about them?” Tim offered, “Probably not enough to risk going on a date.”
“I do too know enough about them,” You grumbled, prying Dicks arms off of you.
“Tell me their address right this minute and I will judge if they are worthy enough!” Your youngest older brother declared.
Everyone ignored him.
Jason sighed through his nose, “We just want what’s best for you,”
You softened at that, relaxing in Dicks death grip that was intended to keep you from leaving the manor, “I get that,” You reassured them, “But you also have to realize that I’m growing up. And with that comes different things. Like dates.”
All four of them hesitated, “I still don’t like this,” Tim said after a moment, “But youre right.”
“I want you to text me every five minutes so I know that you’re alright.” Jason said, immediately followed by sounds of agreement from the other three.
“No,” You groaned.
“Fine… every ten minutes.” Tim reasoned.
You stood there for a moment, contemplating his words before ultimately deciding that the only way you would be getting out of there anytime soon was to agree to their terms.
“Fine,” You sighed, “Dick. You have to let go of me.”
He just stood there for a moment, sniffling slightly, before hesitantly pulling away with a look for complete sadness overtaking his features.
“Guys, I’ll be fine,” You reassured them with a small smile before slowly backing away and walking out the door.
“She’s growing up,” Tim stated after a moment with a frown pulling at the ends of his lips.
And no one will desert you
“Hands in the air!” A voice boomed through the building, causing all festivities to halt in their places automatically, “We’re robbing this damn joint!”
Immediately, everyone in the room went to the ground with their hands raised, Jason dragging you down alongside him with a soft curse, “I told Bruce this charity gala wasn’t a good idea.” He muttered.
You locked eyes with your father and Damian, the only other two there, from across the room and he silently begged you with his eyes to do as the people said and stay down.
Multiple figures with masks and guns moved up and down the room, shoving anything expensive- looking enough into some sacks that they carried.
Your entire body tensed when one of the people froze in front of you, slowly looking down at you and your brother.
With wide eyes full of fear, you allowed your hand to latch onto your brother's wrist as he shifted his body to be between you and the man.
“Hey, get a load of this!” He called in a mocking way, “These are those Wayne kids!” Clearly he hadn’t noticed your father and other brother on the other side of the room.
A couple of his friends glanced over at him with nods, not stopping what they were doing.
“You reckon they’re worth anything if we take ‘em?” Another one called out, and you had to physically restrain yourself from letting out a whimper, all other gala guests smartly choosing to stay silent.
The first one shrugged and moved as if to grab you, causing Jason to immediately shoot to his feet with a glare that could put everyone in the room six feet under, “Don’t you dare touch her,” He warned dangerously despite the gun pointed to his chest.
Right on cue, the doors slammed open and in rushed none other than Dick and Tim, suited up as Nightwing and Red Robin, quickly taking over the situation and knocking out all the robbers.
Jason turned to you as guests began to scramble out, “Are you alright?” He asked quietly.
All you could do was nod, throwing your arms around him and burying your face in his chest. You had never been in as much danger as you had just been in that day. And it terrified you.
“You’re alright,” He whispered softly, rubbing your back comfortingly, “I’ve got you. I’m not going anywhere. I’ve got you.”
Just try to never grow up
“Shut up!” Jason snapped, elbowing Tim harder than necessary, making the boy stumble a bit from where he stood.
The younger of the two whipped around and glared at his brother, “Elbow me one more time.” He challenged through gritted teeth.
“You wanna go-“
“Alright, alright,” You got between the two with a huff, giving them each a small push apart, “Break it up, we have bigger things to worry about then you two breaking each other's faces.”
“Yes.” Damian agreed with narrowed eyes, “Wait until after we have surprised Pennyworth, like civil beings.”
Dick just kept on humming happily and mixing the ingredients for cookies in a large bowl that rested on the counter, “I can't wait to see the look on his face! Oh, this was such a good idea to surprise him for his birthday!” He gushed.
“Well, n/n is pretty good at coming up with plans,” Jason momentarily let his fight go and walked back to the bowl and carefully watched it.
“Here,” Tim walked over and picked up the bowl, “Let's bring this over here so we can-“
He cut himself off when his foot caught on the edge of the counter and he was sent stumbling forward, making the bowl tip over and land right on none other than Jason.
Silence rang through the kitchen as everyone froze in pace, mortified at what they had just witnessed.
Jason slowly turned his head up, “Why, you little-“
“Hey! Hey!” Dick scrambled forward and grabbed the arm Jason had begun winding up to punch Tim, “Let’s not get into this again. We can remake the dough-“
Using his other hand, Jason took a large handful of dough off of his shirt and flung it straight into Tim’s face, your eyes widening even more at the sight.
Next thing you knew, dough began flying every which way, hitting everyone in its path. Less than a minute passed before you were all covered head to toe with chocolate chips and unbaked cookie dough.
“What is-“
You all froze at the sound of Alfred’s voice, pausing a moment before all whipping in his direction. The older man was looking back and forth between all of you with slightly parted lips.
“Surprise?” You squeaked out.
Never grow up
You yawned, “This is more boring then the time we had to sit through dads speech about the importance of sleep.”
“Agreed,” Damian grumbled from beside you, crossing his arms over his chest and leaning down further into his seat, “I suppose father has a knack for talking for obnoxious amounts of time and not once making it of any interest to us.”
The two of you continued to stare at Bruce up on stage, giving a speech about one thing or another and trying not to fall asleep.
“If he tired dragging us to one more of these things,” You mumbled, eyes dropping slightly, “I say we pull a Jason and steal the tires off of his car.”
“Agreed.” Your brother grunted.
You're in the car on the way to the movies
“Movies! Movies! Movies! Movies!” You and your siblings all chanted in sync.
Bruce let out a tired groan, running a hand down his face as he pretended not to notice the way Alfred was chuckling slightly from the driver's seat.
“If you all keep being this loud, you’re going to get us kicked out of the theater again.” He reminded you tiredly.
Jason scoffed, “Don’t act like you can’t just buy the theater so that they can’t kick us out!”
“I can't keep doing that everytime one of you messes up.” Bruce stressed.
It was silent for a moment, then the chanting started again, twice as loud this time.
“Movies! Movies! Movies! Movies!”
And you're mortified your mom's droppin' you off
“Dad,” You grumbled, dropping your head into your hands, “I told you not to drop me off!”
Bruce looked over at you sternly, “Is this still about us being billionaires?” He questioned.
“I just don’t want people treating me any differently if they know!” You insisted.
Somehow, you had been able to keep it away from your new, out of school friends that you were the daughter of the Bruce Wayne. And you planned on keeping it that way.
“There’s no reason to be ashamed of who you are.”
“It’s not that I’m ashamed, dad,” You told him, “I just don’t want them being nice to me just because we have a lot of money.”
That made him pause, and after a moment, he pulled over to the side of the road.
You show him an appreciative look and quickly leaned over and placed a quick kiss on his cheek before hopping out of the car, “Thanks, dad! I love you!”
He smiled softly, “I love you too, sweetie. Have fun.”
At fourteen, there's just so much you can't do
You threw your head back with a groan, causing Tim to glance over at you sympathetically, “This is so stupid!” You complied with a grumble.
“I know,” He agreed.
“Why do I even have to do this?” You crossed your arms tightly over your chest and sunk farther down into the chair you sat in at a desk in the batcave.
“Cause it’s homework and getting an education is good for you,” The boy hummed.
“Easy for you to say,” You scoffed, “You’re naturally smart. You don’t have to worry about this.”
He sighed, moving his chair over next to yours, “Alright, what do you need help with?”
You perked up immediately, face lighting up like a Christmas tree, “Yes, yes, yes! You’re the best brother ever!” You gushed.
“I said I would help you, not do it for you.” He warned and you waved a dismissive hand.
“Yeah, yeah, same difference.”
And you can't wait to move out someday and call your own shots
You let out a scoff, rolling your eyes and crossing your arms over your chest, “Don’t act as if they didn’t start when they were way younger than me!”
Bruce rubbed his hands down his face in frustration, “But I don’t want you to feel like you have to be like them.”
“I don’t!” You protested angrily, “I want to be like them! I want to help people!”
He shook his head, pinching the bridge of his nose, “This is not up for discussion, Y/n.” He told you firmly, “It’s too dangerous.”
Your mouth dropped open and you gaped at him, “Too- too dangerous?” You seethed, “So it’s alright for my brothers to go out every night fighting crime as this city vigilantes with you, but not if I do it?”
“Yes!” He finally snapped, “Yes, alright? I don’t want you getting hurt! I will not let you go out there and risk your life every night. The- the boys have their reasons for doing it, but you don’t have any reason. I need you to stay here. Safe.”
You recoiled slightly at his words, “You think I can't handle it?” You whispered.
His head shook back and forth again, “That's not what I said, and you know it. You can handle yourself, I just don’t want you to need to.”
“I want to help people!” You insisted desperately.
“Help them in a different way.” His tone was final, leaving no more room for discussion, “Because I will not let you fall into this life. I couldn’t stop them from joining, but I sure as hell will stop you.”
You stared at him for a moment in an eerie silence before turning on your heel and storming out of the room, slamming the door shut harshly behind you.
Bruce flinched slightly at the noise and dropped his head into his hands.
But don't make her drop you off around the block
“I just don’t want them seeing the car.” You tried to reason, using your fathers excessive amount of money as an excuse.
“You sure about that?” Jason turned his head from the passenger seat with a smirk, “Sure you’re not just embarrassed of me and Dickie-Bird?”
You groaned, sinking further into the backseat and burying your head in your hands, “Please just drop me off around the corner.”
Your brother feigned worry, “But how will we know that you got to the movies safe, then?”
Dick snickered slightly, but pulled over where you asked nonetheless, “Come on, Little Bird. I know you used to hate this just as much as she does.”
“But we love you!” Jason teasingly called as you hurriedly exited the vehicle and slammed the door with more force than necessary, fear of someone hearing him taking over.
Their laughter did follow you all the way through the doors of the cinema, though.
Remember that she's gettin' older too
“What is it- what happened?” A look of complete horror and desperation painted your features.
You had just been getting ready to turn in for the night when you had heard a lot of commotion coming from the batcave, which was rare considering your family wasn’t normally back from patrol for at least another four hours. And even then, they always stayed as quiet as they could as to not wake you.
Alfred sighed immediately moving to gently grasp onto your arms, “Master. Bruce was shot, but-“
“Dad was shot?” You looked like you were about to throw up, but you tried to stumble past Alfred to go farther into the cave, nonetheless, shaking off his grip.
He gently reached out and grabbed you by the shoulders, trying to halt all further movements from you, “But he’ll be fine,” He continued his previous sentence reassuringly, “And I don’t think it’s wise for you to have to see him like that. He wouldn’t want you to see him like that.”
“B-but-dad-he-“ You began to become overwhelmed as you frantically stuttered things out, trying and failing to form a coherent thought.
“He’s right, n/n,” You hadn’t even noticed Dick approach the two of you until he was right in front of you and speaking.
Your head snapped over to your oldest brother, taking in his soft expression as he gently tried to urge you to calm down.
Vigorously, you shook your head back and forth and pushed away from both of them, heading straight for the room you knew they all went to whenever one of them was injured.
You pushed the door open, ignoring the way Tim shot out of his seat beside Bruce’s bed as you did so, your breathing becoming a shaky and uneven pace.
Bruce slowly moved his head to look at you, and when he did, his eyes turned sad in a way you grew to despise, “N/n-“
“Are you okay?” You asked in a panic-filled tone, rushing over to his side.
A blanket lay over his body so you couldn’t see where he was shot, “Yes, I’m fine.” He had the audacity to chuckle.
“This isn’t funny.” You snapped, “How is this at all funny?”
He quieted for a moment, neither of you paying any kind of attention as Tim slipped out of the room after giving you a small squeeze on the shoulder.
“You’re right, it’s not. I’m sorry.”
For the first time in your life, your father looked small to you, weak. He was always strong and determined, sure. But never had you seen him look like he did now. And it scared you.
“Dad-“ You hadn’t even realized when tears had began to roll down your cheeks, but they did and you tried to bite your bottom lip to stop sobs from slipping through.
“Come here,” He prompted softly, and you didn’t hesitate.
You rushed over to his side and fell into the chair Tim had previously been sitting in, your hand shooting out and holding onto his tightly.
“I-I don’t want to see you hurt,” You admitted tearfully.
“I know, I know.” He reached his other hand over and softly moved a piece of fallen hair out of your face, “I hate having you see me like this.” He paused, “But I would hate seeing you like this even more.”
Your eyes shot up, “Dad-“
“You know how you feel about me being like this?” He continued, “I would feel ten times worse if it was you out there instead of me, that’s the reason I don’t want you out there. Because I wouldn’t be able to handle it if something were to happen to you.”
Silence fell over the two of you like an uncomfortable blanket for a minute before you slowly nodded your head, “Okay,” You whispered, “Okay, I’ll stop trying to go out with you guys. But only if you promise that all of you will be safe. That’s the only reason I ever wanted to go in the first place, to make sure you guys were all alright.”
He squeezed your hand in appreciation, “I promise you, n/n, we’ll all be safe.”
And don't lose the way that you dance around in your PJs getting ready for school
You sang loudly to the song playing over the speaker as you spun back and forth along the kitchen floor, packing your lunch for the day.
Perhaps the music was too loud, or you were too much in your own world, because you didn’t even notice the way your brothers all crowded in the doorway, laughing quietly at your antics.
Naturally, Dick had his phone out and was recording the moment that no doubt would be used as blackmail later, but none of them could shake the soft smiles they felt unconsciously growing on their faces at the sight of it.
You looked so young and carefree, like you were five again.
Oh, darlin', don't you ever grow up
“They’re really beautiful,” You admitted with a dreamy sigh, leaning further back into your seat to look up at the sky filled with thousands of stars in complete wonder.
Your father hummed in agreement from beside you, “They are.”
About a week ago, you had been complaining to him that you were hardly ever able to see any stars at night due to the bright city lights, so he decided to surprise you by taking a night off of patrol and bringing you up, over the clouds in the batplane to see them. Just the two of you.
“I can’t believe that I’m seeing them this close,” Your wide, full of wonder, eyes were yet to tear away from the devastatingly beautiful scene.
A comfortable silence fell over the two of you, each observing the various constellations at your own pace.
“Dad?” The man’s head lulled to the side to find you already looking at him, “Thank you.”
He smiled softly, leaning over and gently kissing your temple, “No need to thank me. I’m glad we did this.”
Don't you ever grow up
They were the loudest in the audience by far. But you couldn’t find it in yourself to be even slightly embarrassed. If anything, your grin only widened at their proud features.
Their claps and cheers of your name were enough to make your legs move across the stage as you graciously accepted your diploma before waving it in the air excitedly at them.
All in the front row, your father, honorary grandfather, and brothers all jumped up to keep their clapping, even Damian didn’t pretend not to care.
Tears shone in each and every one of their eyes as they watched you were about to take your final steps off the stage, officially having graduated high school.
Of course, there was an immense amount of pride and joy in their hearts, but there was also a sinking feeling inside that made the tears keep rolling.
The second you stepped off of that stage, you would no longer be a child. You would be off to college. You would have grown up.
Deep down, they all knew they had been dreading this very moment for as long as they could remember, but they never really anticipated what would happen when the day actually came.
But instead of voicing these thoughts and ruining your day, they continued to let their applause boom through the auditorium.

HEAD OVER HEELS
summary: sirius constantly chases for your affection; or in which after years of chasing after your heart, he realizes he doesn't have to anymore (requested)
sirius black x gn!reader
tags: angsty at first (?), fluffy fluffy fluffy towards the end, sirius is pretty sweet, reader is in denial, (no usage of y/n)
wc: 1.3k
(Working on my requests)
For the many years you knew Sirius, he was always there. He was always lingering nearby, always in the vicinity, and for some reason it was reassuring. Like the time he comforted you after getting yelled at by one of your professors in second year. Or the time he willingly took a trip all the way down to Hogsmeade to buy you treats after your first break up. He was always a shoulder for you to lean on, even when you didn't want him to be. He was your greatest friend. He seemed happy at your revelation, although you were confused when James busted out laughing at your statement. Sirius could only smile, throwing glares at James whenever you looked the other way.
That was nearly two weeks ago. Sirius was no longer there. He was busy, often skipping your invitations to study, or hangout. It was unusual. You no longer felt like Sirius was a presence lingering nearby, you'd seen Severus Snape, more than you saw Sirius in those two weeks. It sucked.
"Can you stop frowning so much?"
Lily inquired as she pushed your feet off the coffee table in the common room, shuffling past you before she ended up plopping down on your side. "No, my best friend won't talk to me." Lily laughed a bit, covering her mouth as she tried her best to present a blank expression on her face, only to fail miserably as a smile spread across her face. "What is it with you people and laughing whenever I call Sirius my 'best friend'?" You pressed with a frustrated look on your face, even going as far as using finger quotes around the word 'best friend'.
"Cause you're an idiot." Lily deadpanned, gently patting your leg as she sighed. You seemed to be the only one out of the loop, confusion seemed to swarm your face whenever your other friends laughed upon calling Sirius your 'best friend', it made no sense. "He likes you." Lily emphasized, a smirk plastered on her face as she took in your expression that practically screamed "impossible" as she laughed. "Stop kidding around Lily, I'm telling you something is seriously wrong with him--no pun intended."
Lily rolled her eyes at your obliviousness, groaning out loud in the silent common room. "You're an absolute idiot, you think he doesn't like you?" You shook your head at her comment, making her scoff as she grabbed your shoulders, shaking you lightly. "He is seriously in love with you--don't," She pointed her finger at you as you began to smirk. "I'm being serious, not Sirius, but serious, he told me himself." You seemed to perk up at her final statement as she grew silent, gazing at you with a look of hope in her eyes.
"Good joke."
Another week passed and you were growing restless at his absence. You were so used to seeing him at breakfast, having him walk with you to class, and ending your night with a simple "goodnight" before you were off to sleep. That was all gone, and you hated it. Why did it bother you so much that your supposed "best friend" was off doing better things, and likely hanging out with better people? You slammed your book shut, startling Remus, Dorcus, and Marlene who were sat in a circle around you, discussing their assignments.
"Guys, I think I like Sirius." You blurted out after a moment, gazing at every single one of their expressions. Not a single person seemed perplexed or surprised even. Marlene laughed, slamming her hand onto the table as she leaned onto it with a weak smile. "Finally, I thought I was gonna lose my bet with James he bet you'd break in four, I said three." You threw an offended glance her way as well as a scoff before Remus gained your attention. "What makes you think that?"
"Well, I was talking to Lily a week ago, and she said he liked me, and I thought 'well isn't that ridiculous' and I really thought about everything he's done for me and I realized just now that I like him, more than a friend." You rambled, making a smile appear on his face. "Then what are you doing? He's in our dorms right now." Remus murmured, lifting a brow slightly as he silently said: "Just go already." And you did, you left everything behind, because if there was anything you learned in your seven years of being at Hogwarts, it was that you were in love with Sirius Black.
It was like a breath of fresh air when you saw him again. He seemed shocked at your presence, awkward even as he sat up in his bed. He had so many questions, and you did too. "I'm gonna go..." James awkwardly coughed out from his bed, gaining the attention of both of you as he ushered his way to the door, throwing a sweet smile your way. It was just the two of you now, and for some reason, you felt like you couldn't look your best friend in the eye after some new found feelings.
"When?"
That was all you asked, making his brows furrow in confusion. "I'm sorry, what?" He spoke softly, unlike his usual loud and boisterous self. "When did you fall...for me." He seemed to recoil at the question, finally standing to his feet as he rubbed his palms on his pants. He was nervous, and you couldn't blame him, cause you were starting to become nervous by his silence. "I'm sorry I shou--Fourth year." He cut you off, finally growing some confidence as he gazed at you, a look that you couldn't quite decipher upon his face.
"I developed a crush on you in our third year, and that day after you caught me crying over--everything in our fourth," He let out a sad laugh, a sincere smile crawling up his face as he walked closer to you. "I fell in love with you." Sirius watched silently as you retraced the memory in your head before you smiled, gazing up at him as you let out a laugh. "I remember...you cried over that argument with James, and your parents constantly being on your tail." Sirius hummed as his hands gently came up to cup your face as he grinned that Sirius Black grin.
"When did you realize?" It was his turn to ask questions, making your cheeks flush in embarrassment as you tried to avoid his stare, except it was impossible when he was practically making you hold eye contact. Damn him. "A couple minutes ago." He laughed, his head tilting back slightly as he scrunched his nose a bit. His laughter made butterflies come to life in your tummy, making you hold your hand on your tummy. "I'm sorry." You mumbled out, making him shake his head reassuringly as he used his thumbs to gently rub your already red cheeks.
"Why are you sorry?" He seemed to be teasing you, his voice growing an octave higher towards the end as he leaned closer. "Because I'm an idiot and Lily was right and our friends were betting on us, which by the way--." You couldn't finish your sentence, not because you didn't want to, but because Sirius Black was kissing you. You were frozen, unable to do anything, you could only close your eyes, finally moving your lips against his before he pulled away, forcing your eyes to open up as you gazed at him silently. "Was that uncalled for?" He asked innocently, tilting his head to the side as he smiled. Bloke.
You released a soft breath as you nodded, "Very uncalled for." He shrugged sweetly as he smiled, a toothy smile. "Can I do that again? That just didn't feel real." He laughed, gazing at you like you were the love of his life. You only rolled your eyes playfully, pulling his head down as you pressed your lips to his. It was sweet, gentle, and contained all the silent love you two held for each other. Once you both pulled away you both looked down to your hands, watching as your pinkies entwined, making the both of you laugh.
"I like you a lot."
"I like you a lot too."

Uh Oh!
in which the batfamily is nosy
batfam x fem!reader
proofread? no
thanks for the request, hope you enjoy, it’s pretty short <3
When you came home from school, you expected to spend the rest of you day lounging around the house, scrolling through your phone, or talking to friends. However you were shocked when You entered the house, phone in clutch as you giggled at something your friend sent in the group chat. When you strolled past the living room you heard a loud cough, making you lift your head as you caught sight of Bruce sitting in his pre-reserved recliner. He had a magazine in his hands as he laid back, making you raise a brow questionably.
“Bruce?” He lowered it, a smile gracing his face as he beckoned you into the living room. “Y/N, we have much to discuss.” Now you were suspicious, creeping into the living room slowly, before settling down on the couch, opposite Bruce. “School called today.” You sunk into the couch, muttering to yourself as you nodded, urging him to continue. “You’re failing math?” You groaned loudly, digging the palms of your hands into your eyes. When you pulled them away, you noticed how much closer Bruce was, as he leant forward—waiting silently.
You thought of ways you could get yourself out of this current predicament, but there was none. “I can’t help it.” You squeaked out, your arms raised as you stared at Bruce. He seemed unfazed, silently leaning on his knees with his elbows as he gazed off silently. “Try harder—don’t look at me like that, until you improve, or until I see progress, I’m taking your phone away.” You felt like you were dying, you gasped loudly, shaking your head as you cradled your phone to your chest.
“Bruce this isn’t fair, it’s not me, it’s the classes.” You insisted, but he only shook his head, holding his hand out as you grumbled loudly. You stared at him for a few seconds before groaning and placing your phone into his hand. “This isn’t fair.” You mumbled as you walked away, glancing back to see him pocket your phone. Stupid math, stupid teacher, and stupid Bruce.
Eventually you got over your dilemma, you passed out once you made it to your room and you woke up right before dinner. With nothing to do, you made your way to the kitchen, glancing at the unoccupied house phone before you took it from the stand, settling on a stool in the empty kitchen. You didn’t know who to dial first, so you stuck with your first option. Alyssa. The phone rang for a bit, until you heard her voice.
“Hello?”
“Alyssa, it’s me, Y/N.”
“Weird, I don’t got your number saved.”
“I’m grounded, but anyways.”
The conversation flowed effortlessly. Occasionally you’d mute yourself, or pull the phone away as members of you family would walk past the kitchen with a curious glance, or blatantly stand in the kitchen and stare at you—Damian—but eventually the kitchen was empty, just in time for the gossip to begin.
“I forgot to mention, you know Caylee?”
“Mhmm.”
“I can’t stand that bitch.”
“Oh.”
You had to pull the phone away a bit, a smile gracing your face as you put it back up to your ear.
“She’s been nagging me all week, I really can’t stand her ass anymore, and you know what else I found out?”
“What?”
“She fucked Kennedy’s ex. What a fucking bitch.”
You heard a familiar gasp on the line, making your brows furrow as you pulled the phone away, only to pull it back to your ear. “Alyssa, I’m gonna let you go.” You hung up before she could respond, slamming the phone back onto the stand. You stood from you spot, wincing as you felt a slight ache in your back. You made your way down to the cave, your arms crossed as you saw the family acting ‘normal’ if you could even consider, Tim and Damian talking ‘normal’.
“Were you guys listening to my phone call?” They each mumbled no’s and answers similar, before you glanced at Dick, who looked guilty. “You guys are pricks.” You groaned out, making your way closer to Dick who held his hands up in surrender. “We couldn’t help it, besides who does that? Shame on Caylee.” You smiled at him, before punching him in the shoulder, glaring at each of the other members. “Stop being nosy jerks.”
Stephanie came up, throwing her arm around your shoulder. “The gossip was juicer this time.” You furrowed your brows, before a gasp fell from your lips. “You people need help, you mean to tell me you listen to my conversations.” Stephanie shook her head, “Not all the time, just once before.” You shook your head with a grimace, glaring once more at everyone. “You guys are sick, I can’t believe we’re related.”
“We can’t help it.”
“Tim I’ll kill you.”

Hey!!
Can I pls rq a batfam x batsis were she gets her phone taken away so she logs onto her ao3 account on the TV when she thought nobody was home
Just some hc abt how they'd react (and maybe some Damian too, pls)
Ao3
just some hc’s about how they react
batfam x batsis!reader
proofread?: no
thanks for the request, i meant to get to the others, but i fell asleep, enjoy <3
So you got in trouble, whether it be in school, on patrol, or in general, so Bruce takes away your phone for the first time ever
At first you’re fine, you’ve suffered worse, so much so, you tell it to Bruce’s face
“I don’t need my phone, I’m doing just fine”
“Really?”
“Yup.”
Then he keeps it for the next three days, that’s when you’re really suffering
You’re moping around the house, at school, in public, practically anywhere you’re at
Until you start sucking up to Bruce like crazy, in hopes you get your phone privileges back
You’re practically sucking up to him 24/7, especially before patrol when he’s giving THAT speech
“Tim, you were sloppy last night.”
“Yeah, very sloppy.”
“Enough.”
“Alright.”
And eventually when Bruce tells you that you still can get your phone back, you’re pretty pissed, you went out of your way to agree with this man—get a load of this guy!
So now you’re here, on the couch, alone, mad and frustrated as you stare at the blank tv screen, your reflection staring right back
Nobody’s home, it’s just you, and the beautiful TV right in front of you
So you decide to do possibly one of the stupidest things you could ever do, and you grab the remote, prompting the cursor to awaken and you guide it towards the internet symbol
Bruce may have taken away your ability to practically live, but he would not take away your ability to read whatever you wanted, about whoever you wanted
You’re on the Ao3 website by the time you can properly think about what you’re doing, and you can’t help but feel giddy, glancing around to make sure nobody was around to see what you were doing
You spend minutes browsing through your bookmarked tab, until eventually you actually click on one
Now you were here, on the couch, leaning forward as much as you could to see whatever it was you were reading
Alfred
Now if Alfred were to catch you, it’d be very, very awkward
Not only would it be awkward but it’d be weird, because as much as he wants to ask, he doesn’t, instead he just stares at you, then the TV, then you
He’s behind you, you just don’t know it, so he’ll leave it like that—you never knowing he was there to witness it in the first place
Bruce
If Bruce catches you, it’s game over, not only because you’re reading whatever it is in the living room, but because you’re grounded and you know better
You’re on the couch whenever he walks in, and he assumes you’re just watching tv, but no—to his surprise you’re reading those things again
He physically shudders before he’s stood behind you in an instant, hand on your shoulder as he watches you slowly turn your head around with a smile
Let’s just say you had a long talk, a really long talk, one where you had to leave halfway through cause it got too embarrassing
And the only question on your mind is—“how does he know what Ao3 is?”
Dick
When Dick catches you, it’s not awkward or embarrassing, but rather weird because instead of making you feel weird about it, he’s smiling at you, rubbing your back as he tells you he “understands”
You’re cringing on the inside, trying your best to keep your smile up as you nod absentmindedly to every word he says
He’s a sweetheart, that’s expected
But hearing him say you’re fantasies are well justified is not expected
Safe to say you’re never gonna read Ao3 in the living room again, the confrontation was too embarrassing
Barbra
She has no words, and you don’t either
You just stare at each other, unable to comprehend the fact that you’d been caught, and that she caught you reading Ao3 on the TV
It isn’t until she tells you that she wanted to hangout that you finally snap out of whatever trance you’re in
You agree, but only if she never tells anyone about what you were doing—she agrees, quicker than you thought she would
You were both awkward while hanging out until she eventually told you to get over it, and that it’s normal
Jason
He’s bursting out into laughter immediately
Full on hunched over laughing, slapping his knee, the whole gist
You’re scowling, closing out Ao3, all while this dude is STILL laughing
You’re not embarrassed anymore that you got caught, but rather annoyed that he’s full on laughing at you
You tell him not to tell anyone and he says “no promises”
He even gives you a look, a look reminding you that he caught you on Ao3 on the family tv in the living room
It’s safe to say he won’t tell anyone, but he will always, and I mean, always remind you of what you’ve done
Stephanie
When she catches you, she’s full on gasping, not out of shock, but out of happiness
She’s hopping over the couch, sitting beside you as she asks about what you’re reading, who it’s about, and much more
You’re pretty much bonding over the fact that she caught you on Ao3, and you’re not ashamed
When you ask her not to tell anyone, she’s pretty much holding pinkies with you, and it’s safe to say the two of you have a secret that you both gladly divulge in
Tim
He’s pretty shocked, he gasps out loud, dropping whatever he has in his hands, and ultimately scares you in the process
He’s pointing at you, and the tv, and going on a full rant about how awkward it is for him to catch you reading on Ao3, he even reveals he already caught Stephanie on there, making you chuckle
You’re laughing, but he’s not, he’s just collecting his things while dramatically revealing how traumatized he is by this, groaning loudly, even pretending to slip and drop his things once more for an even more dramatic effect
But then he’ll literally forget two days later and you never have to worry about whether or not he’ll tell anyone
Cassandra
She’s silent, so silent you don’t even hear her sitting beside you until you lean back, catching a glimpse of her in your peripherals
You don’t scream, no you’re just shocked, you hope she doesn’t know what it is, and you hope she doesn’t tell anyone
But you know Cassie, she’d never reveal you like that, so you go as far as giving her the remote and explaining what it all is
She’s just sitting there listening to you, remote in hand as she does nothing, so you take it from her and ask if she’s gonna tell on you
She shakes her head “no” and you’re practically hugging the girl to death
Damian
He’s judging you 100 percent, going on and on about how Bruce would be disappointed in you and your antics
Even when you’re logged off the tv, walking towards your bedroom, he’s still going off on you
Right before dinner you promise to give him your dessert if he shuts his fat mouth, and he somewhat agrees
Once dessert comes out, you don’t even gotta look at him, you’re sliding him your plate, watching him devour it with a mischievous grin
He’s definitely gonna hold that against you for the rest of your life

s: batboys reacting to you falling asleep (I decided not to add Damian just because i could not think of a single scenario where he’d let someone fall asleep on him)
batboys x gn!reader
i finally decided to come back and write again, i hope you enjoy this, it’s pretty short. <3
Dick:
When you asked Dick to come over for movie night, he was ecstatic. He brought some snacks, a couple of movies, and a gigantic blanket for the two of you. You made dinner, insisted on him picking the movie, then you two were on the couch. At first, the two of you sat side by side, hands entwined together. It wasn’t until halfway through the first movie did the two of you settle down comfortably. You leant against him, your head resting on his shoulder and he held you close, an arm wrapped around your waist. Towards the end of the movie, Dick finally noticed how you fell asleep, head buried into his neck, and your arm circled around his waist.
He thought it was cute, and as much as his back began to cramp from sitting straight as a board, he wasn’t gonna move you, not unless you woke up first, he’d gain all the cramps in the world to let you sleep as comfortably as possible.
Jason:
He was the one who insisted on the two of you going out tonight. The two of you had been busy the entire week, and it was safe to say you missed one another. So when Jason came to pick you up, a bouquet of flowers in his hold, you were pleasantly surprised. From there, the two of you went out to eat at your favorite restaurant. Afterwards the two of you went out for some ice cream, you walked around a park for a bit, and you were exhausted by the end of it. You assumed that afterwards, he would take you home, but he promised one more surprise. He took you high up in Gotham, and the sight left you in awe. The city lights were blurred, and the stars shinning brightly. The two of you laid on a blanket he laid out, laughing and talking about pretty much everything. Until you fell asleep, cuddled into his side.
He ran a hand through your hair, pulling you closer as he silently watched you sleep. He’d let you rest for a bit, until it gets late and he has to bring you home. He cherishes the moment though. You cuddled into his side, he’s definitely gonna tease you when you wake up.
Tim:
When he invited you to the manor to ‘study’ you happily agreed. Tim knew full and well that when it came to studying, you lacked greatly. You procrastinated, and often told yourself you’d do it later—which you never did. So when he invited you to his home, you really didn’t think you’d be forced to study. Yet here you were, on his bed, notes in hand as he asked you questions about the subject you were working on in english. You wanted to roll your eyes—which you did—before slamming your textbook shut. You were tired, you’d never willingly spend hours studying. So when he suggested the two of you go down to the theatre, you felt much better. The home theatre was spacious, and the chairs were soft, so soft. Halfway through the second movie and you were snoring softly, head painfully leant back, so much so, that Tim had to stifle a giggle as he guided your head onto his shoulder for much needed comfort.
As much as he wanted to make fun of you, he couldn’t, and he wouldn’t. He liked the idea of you snoozing on him—well his shoulder—he didn’t mind.

Hi I’ve got an Ethan Landry request
Ethan’s at a Halloween party and there’s girl there he likes but he doesn’t think she’s into him but she really is and his friends try to get him to ask her out and he gets the courage to do so.
Tiger
in which Ethan relies on his good old pals for help
ethan landry x fem!reader
warnings: none, just fluff (and a few curse words)
proofread?: no
thanks for the request, it’s short and sweet, hope you enjoy <3
It was loud. So loud that Ethan couldn’t think properly. He was in a secluded part of the house, trying his best to match Chad’s dance moves. He felt silly, so silly, but he was having fun. The two of them remained dancing, up until the song switched over to the next. “So,” Chad leaned close, speaking loud enough for Ethan to hear, “You got your eyes on anybody?” Ethan tilted his head up, hesitantly shaking his head as he looked away from Chad.
Chad laughed teasingly, clapping Ethan on the back as he gazed around the area they surrounded. “Does that mean you don’t like Y/N?” Ethan seemed to pause, shaking his head at the thought. “She doesn’t like me.” Chad snorted at that, shaking his head as he gripped Ethan’s shoulders. “Bro, she’s into you.” Ethan’s head fell for a moment before he lifted it. “Really.” Chad only nodded eagerly, “Bro she’s like a tiger, and you’re like prey or something.” Ethan’s brows furrowed at the connotation. “She’s like grrrr.” Chad failed to growl like a tiger, even going as far as making a paw with his hand, playfully scratching Ethan’s face.
Ethan slapped his hand away with a smile, a laugh following suit, and eventually the two were a laughing mess. “D-Do you think so?” Ethan asked once more after catching his breath. Chad nodded, holding his hand up for a high-five, only for the two of them to miss as they went in for it. “Absolutely bro.”Ethan couldn’t help but feel giddy at the thought of you possibly liking him back. You were two completely different people. Ethan was nerdy, and he couldn’t seem to socialize with anyone for the life of him.
You, however, were like a social butterfly, always making friends wherever you went. Perhaps you befriended him out of pity. Ethan shook his head, ridding his mind of those cruel thoughts. Tonight was his night, it had to be.
Chug!
Chug!
Chug!
On the other side of the house, you were busy filling your liver with the nastiest excuse of vodka you’d ever tasted. You winced as you slammed the now halfway filled bottle of cheap vodka on the counter. You coughed weakly, bucking over as you felt a hand pat your back. You smiled up at Tara who only shook her head with a smile. “You’re an idiot.” You coughed one last time before standing up and hooking your arm with the shorter girl. “I know.” The two of you disappeared from the kitchen, making your way towards the living room where Anika and Mindy occupied the couch by making out.
“Boooo!” You cheered, landing besides Anika on the couch as the two pulled away from each other. “Oh hush, you’d do the same if you’d grow the balls to get with Ethan.” Anika tutted, pushing your face playfully as you stuck your tongue at her. “Ethan? Absolutely not.” Mindy chided, leaning forward as she pushed Anika back into the couch, shaking her head at you. You scoffed lightly, a laugh falling from your lips as you failed to hide your smile. “Oh lay off it Mindy, I wanna make out with someone too y’know.”
“I’d be less upset if you told me you wanna make out with my brother.” Mindy admitted, making you flip her the bird as you stood from the couch. “Love you too!” She shouted as you disappeared into a different area of the house. As you squeezed through groups of people, muttering apologies, you stopped in your tracks, watching Chad and Ethan growl at each other. You laughed loudly, catching the attention of Ethan who stopped, Chad however didn’t, up until Ethan slapped his hand away with a blush. “Cmon man, get hype, you’re gonna get the girl tonight.”
“Who’s the lucky lady?” You teased, making Chad stop his antics as he slowly turned his head towards you. Ethan was embarrassed now, you probably thought he was a weirdo, and it didn’t help that he was wearing a cardboard box as a costume. “Only time will tell Y/N.” Chad confessed, winking at you before dancing away towards a different group of people, leaving the two of you, alone. “You look, pretty cool.” You complimented, making Ethan glance down at his sorry excuse of a costume. “You think so?” You nodded, shifting the cardboard hat he wore, making it sit proudly on his head.
“I know so.” He smiled, tilting his head down, only making the cardboard cover his eyebrows as he glanced back at you. “You look pretty—pretty cool I mean, and pretty, pretty and cool.” Ethan stammered out, making you laugh at his efforts. You twirled the skirt of your basic ‘killer clown’ costume, “Thank you.” He nodded, and soon silence consumed the both of you. He was ruining his chances, here you were in front of him, smiling widely and proudly as you spoke to him, and he couldn’t get out a simple compliment.
“Do you wanna get out of here?” He perked up at your question. His eyes wide like a puppy as he pointed to himself. “Me?” You nodded, a weak smile on your face as gazed into his eyes. “Well I hope so.” He nodded, opening his mouth to speak before he was interrupted by the sounds of people screaming, “Fight! Fight! Fight!” The two of you stared at one another before making your way to the commotion. You were both shocked to see Chad and some random dude pushing one another. The two seemed to be bickering about Tara, who was sat on the stairs with a frown.
“Guys, guys, stop.” She spoke, her words going unnoticed as the two continued pushing each other, only harsher. It wasn’t until the crowd was being parted that you noticed Sam making her way between to two of them. “Yeah, yeah, sorry to interrupt, I’m just gonna taze you in the balls real quick.” Before her words could be registered, all you seen was the dude fall backwards, clutching his privates as he muttered curses. Amidst all the commotion, you didn’t seem to notice the grip you held on Ethan’s hand. He noticed it, he noticed it the minute you slipped your hand into his.
He felt you squeeze his hand, silently watching as Tara began to yell at her sister. It wasn’t until Tara was storming out the house did you finally let go, muttering an apology as you followed after her. Ethan blew it, and he couldn’t help but express his disappointment with the frown that took over his face. It wasn’t until he felt a hand fall onto his back did he finally zone back into the moment. Anika.
She was smiling at him, gently pushing him forward to walk as they followed the rest of their friends out the frat house. “She likes you, a lot.” Anika reassured. Ethan glanced at her, catching the genuine smile on the girl’s face. It didn’t last long, before she burst out in laughter, shaking her head as she gestured to his cardboard helmet. “You look goofy, just gimmie that.” She made a gesture with her hand. Ethan blushed, removing the helmet as he placed it in Anika’s hands. She soon removed her hat, before placing it on Ethan’s head. “Much better.” She spoke, nodding firmly.
Ten minutes later and Sam was finally able to get her sister to stop. It was tense as the two sisters hashed it out, but that gave you the opportunity to slip closer to Ethan. He noticed you right away, the helmet he gave to Anika, in his line of vision, sitting atop your head now. “Wanna get out of here?” He glanced down at you, a smile taking over his face as he nodded, but it soon faded away as he glanced at the two sisters. “What about Tara?” You waved away his worried. “She’s upset right now, but she’ll get over it, she knows Sam’s just looking out for her.”
Ethan smiled, his heart beating as your hand slipped into his once more. You squeezed his hand, smiling up at him as he spoke. “Can I do this properly?” Your brows furrowed slightly, but you only nodded, noting the goofy grin he sported. “Wanna go on a date?” You were opening your mouth to accept, only to be interrupted by a girl splashing her drink at Sam. “We know what you did bitch. Murderer!” Sam was in shock, but she dived for the girl, only to be held back by Chad. “I didn’t do anything!” Sam yelled out angrily. You flipped the girl off, a scowl overtaking your face as you felt some of the liquid drip down your arm.
The rest of your friends ventured forward after the interaction, except for you, Ethan, and Sam. “I have some tissues if you want,” Ethan spoke, digging into his pocket only to pull out a few, “I have like three tissues.” He offered to Sam. Sam was silent, staring at him before taking the tissues off of him. You shook the liquid off your arm, groaning angrily as you tried to follow behind the rest of your friends, only to be stopped by the gentle grip Ethan held on your wrist. “I-I never got an answer.” He mumbled. Your brows furrowed, but your face soon formed an ‘O’.
“Of course E.” You smiled at the blushing boy, before interlocking your hands once more. The two of you continued forth, following behind your friends with beating hearts and giddy smiles. It seemed like it’d take forever for the two of to get together, so you were not surprised when you saw Anika pass chad a $5 bill after the two glanced back at you. “Did our friends bet on us?” Ethan only laughed, nodding his head. “I think so.”
“Thanks for the five.”
“You’re welcome.”
“Wanna make another bet?…”

Hi, I got Dick Grayson request
He and the girlfriend!reader are both detectives, working on the same case making a bet who will crack it faster. One day, when the batfamily is on patrol (mission, whatev. - she knows about their secret identities) she sneaks into batcave to use the Wayne technology to get ahead. Of course, she gets caught by Dick, who teases her and maybe kisses or tickles her up to the point when she confesses to being a cheater (you know - no holds barred, take any liberty you want on that since Dick can be pretty persuasive :D )
TY :)
Lovers Quarrel
in which you try to one up dick grayson
dick grayson x fem!girlfriend!reader
warnings: reader being a big fat cheater, terrible depiction of detective work, Dick being sooo cocky
proofread: no
hi thank you for the request, i do hope you enjoy!
_________ ׂׂૢ་༘࿐
You were stubborn without a doubt. Whether it be a bad trait, Dick found it adorable. Whenever the two of you got into disagreements, which was often, you'd give him the silent treatment. It wouldn't last long though, Dick Grayson was a smooth talker. Like right now, the two of you were in the Blüdhaven police department, heads buried deep in paperwork. A few days ago, two to be exact, the two of you were assigned the same case. A faceless murderer terrorizing the streets at night. The killer already claimed multiple victims, all in the span of three nights. You insisted on taking charge on the case, being one the youngest in the department, and the most consistent when it came to homicide cases.
Dick also felt the need to take charge as well. Maybe it was in his nature, often leading cases in the department, causing a bet to arise. You were stubborn, so in your nature you accepted. As of right now, you regret ever accepting his stupid bet, but you'd never admit that. You let out a frustrated sigh, throwing down the file you've read over millions of times. There wasn't much for you to work with, blurry CCTV footage, and a vague description of what the killer possibly looked like. You were lost.
You were brooding, and it seemed to be obvious the minute Dick placed a hot cup of coffee on your desk, "What's with the frowny face?" He teased, setting himself on the corner of your desk as he pressed his thumb against the crease between your brows, rubbing it playfully. You slapped his hand away, a faint quirk to your lips as you lifted the cup to your lips. "No idea what you're talking about Detective Grayson." You sighed out, the taste of burnt coffee left on your tongue. "If it makes you feel better, I have a lead." He chimed victoriously, a smirk on his lips as he took in your annoyed expression.
"Get out." You groaned out, standing to your feet as you tiredly dragged him towards the door leading out of your office. He held his hands up in surrender, turning to face you once more. "I just wanted to let you know I'm heading out early, Bruce needs me." That was all you needed to hear, nodding your head in understanding as you smiled genuinely. "Be safe, and don't be upset if I solve this case before you." You teased, letting a small laugh out as he rolled his eyes. He pressed a long kiss to your lips, pulling back with a smile as he mouthed a 'bye'.
An hour passed, and with nothing to work with you left the department. You decided to return back to crime scene, in hopes you'd find more clues to get you further. The alleyway looked horrific, and you couldn't help but keep a close hand on the gun in your holster. What could you have missed? That was the question at hand. You retraced your steps from the first time you arrived, you sought everything. With a harsh sigh you closed the blank notepad in hand, only to flinch when something landed on your head. Your head tilted up, catching sight of a ladder. You knew it was there the first time you showed up to the crime scene, yet this time the ladder was pulled down, making where ever it led, accessible.
Was your idea possibly stupid? Yes, but the urge to progress further than your cocky boyfriend was gnawing at your brain. So you did it, climbing up the wet ladder and reaching the top, slightly out of breath. What you found was shocking, none of the detectives at the scene thought it'd be useful to raid the abandoned buildings nearby, assuming it was another killer without motive, yet once you stepped inside the tiny storage room nestled on top of the abandoned bakery, your mouth fell open. Walls filled with pictures of people, those deceased and those still among the living. Papers filled with information on all sorts of people. There were places marked throughout Blüdhaven, some in Gotham as well, leading you to believe that the case was much more than a homicide.
_________
Bruce had a lovely home. It was large, hidden, and had a homey vibe to it. You knew it was a bad idea to show up to his home, however, there was no way he'd know you were there. You knew he'd be busy till the early morning, giving you enough time to use the advanced technology his bat computer contained. With a brisk knock to large oak double doors, you shifted on your feet impatiently, eyes settled the large 'W' on the door. You stood straight once the door opened, coming eye to eye with Alfred who had a welcoming smile on his face. "Miss Y/N, to what do I owe the pleasure?" You smiled back, clearing your throat as you replied meekly, "Alfred, I was wondering if I could use Bruce's computer for a quick moment." He seemed a little confused, but welcomed you in nonetheless.
The moment you stepped inside the home, the harsh aroma of food hit your nostrils, making you hold your stomach weakly. Bruce was a lucky man, home cooked meals everyday, you were jealous. Your attention shifted once Alfred bid you to follow, prompting you to rid of those annoying thoughts as you followed behind him. He led you down to the cave, the gloomy mood of the cave making you shiver slightly. With what you assumed was Alfred mumbling about food in the kitchen, he left you, allowing you access to everything and anything on the computer. You wasted no time, sitting down in the large chair settled in front of the large monitor. Bruce sure did have a knack for large things.
You didn't know how long you were in the cave for, but you knew for a fact that you were progressing further than Dick ever could, making your ego inflate slightly. You couldn't wait to throw your newfound discoveries in his face, without him ever knowing you cheated. From what you found; the murders were connected to people who seemed to owe money to someone, that part you haven't found out yet, however you were able to connect the writing of some papers you found in the storage room to a no-good thug. You had your murderer, but no motive, it was a start though. You leaned into the chair with a pleased sigh, arms crossed as you relaxed your tensed muscles.
"I'm highly disappointed Y/N."
You let out a loud squeak, a hand on your chest as the chair was turned to face the perpetrator. Dick stood above you, his eyes covered by his domino mask, but his smirk was bigger than ever. You slapped his arm harshly, your heart beating out of your chest as you scowled. "Richard John Grayson, never do that again." You chided, his smirk never once fading as he took off his mask, his dark blue eyes shining with mirth. He directed his gaze towards the monitor, the screen filled with images of the man you assumed was terrorizing the city you were sworn to protect.
He leaned down, arms on both sides of the chair as he leaned close. You shifted at the proximity, arms still crossed as you held his gaze. He licked his lips, voice filled with rasp as he crooned out, "I didn't think you were a cheater baby." You rolled your eyes, cheeks going red, whether it be from embarrassment or from the pet name. "I'm not a cheater" You whispered weakly, taking the liberty to brush a stray hair from his forehead. He hummed appreciatively, licking his lips. "You're a sore loser y'know?" You hummed in acknowledgment.
He tsked' softly, a hand held towards you, prompting you to stand. You took his hand to stand, a faux embarrassed look casted upon your face as you sighed, "I know I cheated," You started solemnly, gaze downcast as you frowned. Once you looked back up, you had a cocky smile on your face, "But I'm beating you." You laughed out, your ego on full blast. Dick rolled his eyes, wrapping an arm around your waist as he smiled down at you. " Cheaters gotta face the consequences." He pointed out, his half smirk making you weak in the knees.
He pulled you close, tilting your head slightly as his thumb traced your jaw gently. He leaned close, pressing a kiss to your lips. Then another one, and another one, until you couldn't breathe. You pulled away, his lips trailing down your jaw, to the side of your neck. As much as you appreciated his kisses you had to pull away. The PDA becoming too intense, and the side eye Bruce was giving was terrifying. "Okay, you're right I cheated." He sighed dramatically, head thrown back as he stared at the ceiling. "Once we get home, you owe me." He pestered, a suggestive look on his face once he stared back at you.
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah, I have an idea of how this'll play out..."

Idea/prompt: You have been dating dick for about 8 months and it has been amazing so far. But lately, you've been feeling more insecure about yourself and your relationship. You've always known about all of dicks past relationships but youve never thought anything of it. But lately, you've been thinking about it and you've come to the realization that all of his exes were much better than you.
Dick can't help but notice the way you've been distancing yourself and he feels as if he's done something wrong to make you upset. But after almost a week of this, he gets frustrated and decides to confront you. When you were both getting ready to go to sleep, he cornered you and asked you what was wrong and why you've been avoiding him.
At first, you try to ignore him and say that you need to get some rest, but you eventually give in and explain everything to him. He feels horrible, how hadn't he noticed before? He comforted you and cuddles your worries away.
Have a good day!

Galas are such a bore. Perhaps it was because you stuck out like a sore thumb. For the sake of your lover you attended, and possibly because of the appetizers Alfred always had laid out. You felt self-conscious, fear tantalizing you as you weaved your way through crowds of snobby rich people. You felt so warm, your skin hot to the touch, but only so much air could cool you down. As you waltzed your way towards one of the openings towards the garden, you stumbled at the feeling of someone bumping into your back.
The both of you muttered apologies, sympathetic smiles filled with faux intentions before you finally caught a glance of one another. Barbra Gordon. A red-headed beauty who you knew somewhat well. “I’m sorry Y/N.” She let out weakly, a genuine smile on her face as she held your forearm affectionately. You only shook your head, a slight relief from not possibly bumping into one of Gotham’s finest. “It’s fine Barbra, I’m actually happy to actually be in the vicinity of someone I know,” You joked lightly, causing her to laugh in agreement.
Unbeknownst to the two of you, a person, who you both knew in and out was staring at you two tensely. It wasn’t a secret that Barbra and Dick had been together. You actually befriended Dick whilst they were still in a relationship. Once they’re relationship went to shit, the two of you took the opportunity to possibly strike one up, and in both your favors, it worked. “Careful Grayson, Barbra might just turn her on you.” Dick heard Jason jab playfully. Dick might’ve laughed if the situation was different, but he didn’t. Instead he watched from afar as your entire conversation unfolded.
“So what’re you doing here?” Barbra questioned, her head tilting slightly as she stirred her champagne glass cooly. “I’m here with Dick actually.” You meekly replied, slyly glancing behind her to catch sight of him already looking at you. You turned your attention back to Barbra, watching the way her face conformed in realization. Suddenly the air became tense, as Barbra spoke, “Wow, I’m actually surprised you’re still together.” Your brows furrowed slightly at her shady comment, but you could only laugh awkwardly.
“What does that mean?” You pressed, your tone light, in hopes she wouldn’t detect the hostility her statement arose in you. She only shrugged, lifting the glass to her cherry covered lips as she took a long sip. Once she pulled the glass away, her reply shocked you. “Well it just seems like he has a type.” You scoffed lightly, an offended expression upon your face as you leaned back slightly. “What are you getting at?” She shrugged once more, her action irritating you before she spoke, “You’ll see the signs eventually,” And with that she left with a squeeze to your shoulder, which ultimately felt like her touch burned you.
He has a type? You couldn’t help but ponder on that question, the conversation you two shared stuck in your head on repeat. It’s been almost a week since the gala, and since then, you couldn’t help but shelter yourself. You built a brick wall, the fear of Barbra being right causing your heart to hurt a little. You knew Dick wasn’t clueless, he was a detective for crying out loud, but he was also your boyfriend, and with that title, came him knowing when something was wrong.
He knew something was wrong the minute you left Bruce’s home, the way you shifted your body towards the window in the car, the way you didn’t rest your hand atop his as he drove the two of you home, and the way you went to bed that night, without giving him a good night kiss. Your days blended together that way, a painfully cruel reminder that you were just a bland and simple girl. Basic. Dick Grayson could do better.
Damn you Barbra.
Night time became a comforting bliss, the darkness of the sky and the brightness of the moon was beautiful. Especially when you laid sprawled out on the couch, street light and moon light meshed together as it splayed across your skin through the sheer curtains. With a frazzled mind, you hoped a book could keep it occupied, yet your eyes kept skimming over the same sentence. The irony of the words making you want to laugh
quiet down i begged my mind
your overthinking is
robbing us of joy
Rupi Kaur was too relatable for your liking. With a quiet sigh you set down the book, lazily guiding your attention to a random talk show on the tv. You waited impatiently, waiting for the moment the squeaky door would creak open, forcing you to put that wall back up. You waited, and waited, until eventually you forgot about the existence of your beloved boyfriend. Too engrossed in a re-run of the bachelor, you failed to notice the door open.
It wasn’t until Dick leaned over the back of the couch, pressing a feathered kiss to your hair, causing you to tense. “How was your day?” He asked, making his way towards the kitchen and out of your sight. You gave him the same response you’d been giving him the last few days, “It’s been good babe.” He hummed at that, returning back to you with a water bottle in hand. “Are you sure?” You leaned into his side, giving him a nod of assurance. It was silent after that, and you couldn’t help but bite your bottom lip anxiously.
You glanced at him, his head tilted back as he let out a distressed sigh. You hated knowing that a few little words could cause a riff in your relationship, but you couldn’t help it. You knew Dick was the sweetest soul on earth, his kindness and compassion making him hard to resist, yet knowing that he chose you of all people made you question everything. “Y/N,” He started, leaning forward onto his knees. “Talk to me baby, I can’t stand..,” He waved his hands around with a pained expression, “This.”
You looked at him naively, head tilted as you grasped his hand. “Dick what are you talking about? I’m fine, see.” You gestured to yourself, a smile on your face as you placed a gentle kiss on his cheek. He was silent after that, mumbling a weak agreement as he sunk back into the couch, an arm wrapped atop your shoulder. You two spent a mere hour like that, before the darkness of the night made you woozy with sleep, prompting the two of you to turn in for the night.
You silently washed your face, the sound of the water in the shower distracting your racing thoughts. It was only when you heard it turn off that your thoughts seemed to race back into your head. Although you were silent, face void of any emotion as you applied lotion to your skin. Kori had lovely skin. You wanted to punch yourself, however with Dick half naked with a towel around his lower waist you could hopefully bury your mind with different thoughts. You left the bathroom, humid air and the smell of his coconut-hibiscus shampoo making your mind go under.
You settled into the bed first, silent as he slipped on a pair of boxers and his favorite pair of sleeping pants. Instead of getting in like he normally did, you were surprised that he only sat on the edge of the bed, his head in his hands as he let out a tired breath. “Y/N,” Your body seemed to go tense at the seriousness of his tone, making you pull he blanket up higher for him to get the idea of possibly going to sleep. “Yes babe.” He stood from the edge, making his way by your legs before sitting down, the sight of his chest glimmering slightly from the lotion you bought him making you want to curse yourself.
dirty minded bit-
“We need to talk.” He spoke solemnly, breaking you from your thoughts as your throat went dry. You knew it was coming eventually. Barbra was right, you were so-“I’m worried about you babe.” Wrong. You were so wrong? He seemed to notice you confusion, making him chuckle lightly, before he grew serious once more. “I’m just tired, like super tired, I woke up earlier than I normally do.” You reassured, even going as far as rubbing your eyes when you knew you were lying some what. “Did I do something?” He questioned weakly, making your slumped form perk up slightly. “No I—no baby, it’s not you. Well it is you, but,” You cut yourself off, laughing weakly as you head fell sourly.
“It’s silly.” “Clearly not if it’s making my girlfriend a completely different person. Talk to me baby.” You knew it was now or never, you’d either receive the answer you were looking for, or be dumped onto the streets just like Barbra had implied. “Why me?” The question was so short, sweet and simple, yet there was a multitude of answers you could’ve gotten, making your heart race slightly at his silence. “Why you.” He restated, making you nod weakly. “Baby, you have my heart, mind, and soul in the palm of your hand,” He started, his hand slipping into yours comfortingly. “And it hurts knowing that, you feel insecure in why I wanna be with you. Y/N, you’re amazing, you’re you, and I hate the fact that you don’t see yourself the way I do.”
You felt the sudden urge to bite your lip, a possible stream of tears soon to erupt, but you couldn’t. You stared at him with such a loving expression in your eyes, and he couldn’t help but fall for you more. “You’re no superhero, and I’m glad, they’re all copy and paste anyways, I mean look at ‘Gymnastics man’ I—ow babe I’m serious.” He finished, holding his shoulder with a genuine smile as he rubbed the spot you hit playfully. “His back handsprings are killer.” He joked, making you laugh for the first time in days. He smiled at that. “In all seriousness, I don’t care that you can’t fly, or shoot lasers—although that’d be pretty cool- right sorry, not the point,” He began once more, his hands held up in surrender at the sight of your glare.
“However, you’re Y/N, a pretty cool chick who’s not afraid of anything, except for maybe spiders, and haunted houses. Not the point again, but I love you for you, for all your faults and insecurities. I love you.” He finished, a smile gracing his face as silently watched your expression morph and soon the tears fled. “I hate you.” You cried weakly, burying your face in the crook of his neck. He shushed you, pressing a soft kiss into your hair. “If you hated me, then you wouldn’t have agreed to be my girlfriend 8 months ago.” He had you there. You only rolled your eyes with a sniffle, pulling back as you stared into his eyes. “I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be, however if you ever doubt this,” He gestured between the two of you, “You talk to me baby.” You nodded at that, finally pulling his face closer as you gave him a well deserved kiss. The two of you pulled away, your foreheads resting on one another as you smiled at each other. “I love you Y/N L/N.”
“I love you too Dick Grayson.”
It was silent, until Dick had to ruin it
“Can we talk about Gymnastics man copying me?”
“No.”

the end. I hope you enjoyed, and yes i’m terrified of haunted houses.

“Solace” - J.P
pt.2 of “Boys will be boys”
James potter x reader
james and you finally kiss, finally
pt.1 right here.
requested? yeah
Solace was what you could describe the winter air as it nipped at your skin. Your head was craned as you gazed at the houses of students who littered in their respectable stands. Quidditch, it wasn’t your personal favorite, but it was James, so you were willing to sacrifice the warmth of your dorm for a few hours. You tried your best to ignore the cheers and screams of students as they impatiently waited for the players to amass on the field. It was impossible, even with Sirius shouting loudly beside you.
Adorned in his Gryffindor sweater, scarf, and beanie, you couldn’t help but crack a smile as you elbowed him in the rib, a silent quip for him to tone it down for the time being. “L/N, you can’t stand with us if you’re not gonna cheer!” He spat out, waving his banner with faux distaste as he side eyed you. You rolled your eyes, burying your gloved hands in your puffer jacket as you made a sound of annoyance. How you were crammed in the stands with Sirius Black was something you never thought would happen. Ever.
Three months passed. One where you and James established a friendly relationship. Two where you grew closer, and now, you didn’t know where the two of you stood. James was a comical character, his tendencies to cause chaos not too fitting with your own, but somehow the two of you meshed. You weren’t too keen about befriending his partner in crime, but one night of fire whiskey changed your view of the brassy teen for—well likely forever. Your head lifted at the sound of the commentator tapping his wand a few times, making an unwanted feedback resound around the pitch and the stands.
“Witches and Wizards, are you ready for a well awaited match tonight?” He shouted into the mic, creating rounds of cheer and applause. He seemed please, mumbling a few words into the mic before clearing his throat. “Let’s get this match started!” Upon his final words, students began to gather onto the field, and one in particular caught your eyes. James stood confidently within the lineup, a cocky smile on his face as he exchanged a few words with the captain opposite of him. Soon after the commentator spoke into the mic once more, announcing each player and their position.
As he announced James, you couldn’t help but let out a yell, hands clasped around your mouth to make it louder. Once you finished you glanced at your friends who were all staring at you with cheeky looks, you couldn’t help but blush, grumbling towards Sirius who laughed at you like a maniac due to your behavior. You ignored him afterwards, eyes stuck on the players—James in particular—as they each mounted their brooms. The air became tense, silence surrounding the stadium as Madam Hooch stood between the players, her whistle in mouth as she stared at each of them.
When her whistle blew, so did the cheers. Each player lifted from the ground, the sounds of them zipping past disrupting your focus as you tried your hardest to focus on James, who was focused on finding the golden stitch. Throughout the duration of the match there were a few times your heart fell as James blindly followed the stitch, barely missing the bludgers that were thrown at him. You’d clap excitedly each time it missed him, and you’d purposely ignore the teasing grin Remus threw at you.
Gryffindor was behind by forty-points, and you couldn’t help but anxiously chew on your nails as the commentator spoke about Ravenclaw possibly winning the match soon. Possibly. Your ears perked up when the commentator spoke about James possibly having his eye on the stitch and you couldn’t help but lean towards the railing in anticipation. James zoomed around, diving lower and lower as he followed the stitch, the seeker for Ravenclaw trailed behind him, and due to James looking back every so often he failed to see the bludger flying at him from the side.
Upon impact, gasps fell from the stands, watching silently as James crashed towards the ground. You leaned against the rail worriedly, a hand over your mouth as you watched him lay motionlessly on the ground. Your heart slowed and as you began to pull away from the rail he lifted his hand, stitch between his fingers as it’s wings flapped slowly. Cheers began once more and you released a breath of relief. “Gryffindor wins, are we surprised I mean c—“ You cut the commentator out as you pushed through the stands, leaving the rest of your friends behind as you tried to reach James first.
For the first time in James’s life, he’d felt his heart pumping in his chest wildly, a mantra. Whether it be from adrenaline or pride he didn’t care. The only thing on his mind was you. You were the first thing on his mind as he mounted his broom, flying through the skies, as well as catching the stitch. His breathing came out labored, his broom was broken and he was sure he’d receive a few words from his mother, but that wasn’t important. He stood slowly, a hiss proceeding from his lips as he held his side, limping forward as he looked for you through the crowds of people on the pitch.
He ignored the praises and congratulations from fellow students, his eyes falling on your face as you stared at him from afar. He smiled at you, watching the way you smiled back before it fell. He was an idiot, and you had to let him know. He was already laughing as you came closer, he expected you to yell at him for his recklessness or for not focusing on potential danger, but you didn’t. Your eyes were soft, a genuine gleam of care in your irises as you engulfed him in a hug. He was stoic for a moment, before holding you tightly, releasing a soft breath as the two of you pulled away.
“You’re an idiot.” “I know.” “I really hate how reckless you are sometimes.” “Mhmm.” “James I’m ser-“ Your rant was cut of when James boldly pressed his lips to yours, his lips were chapped, likely due to the coldness. His curly stands fell onto your forehead as he kept the kiss going, a hand languidly wrapped around your waist. You were still in shock, unable to kiss him back, because—he was your enemy at one point, but now you saw him as the boy who graciously swooped in and stole your heart. He pulled away with an embarrassed groan as he dropped his head with a laugh.
“That was a very awkward kiss, well it was really one sided, I-“ This time it was you cutting him off as you finally gained the courage to kiss him back. It was bittersweet, and you couldn’t help but pull away too fast for his, and your own liking. “Can we do that one more time?” “No James.” “Please just one more.” With a sigh and a roll of your eyes, you thumped his forehead, making him laugh as he rid of his puppy-like expression, leaning closer as the two of you kissed one last time. You both pulled away, holding each other for comfort as you smiled at each other.
“You’re still an idiot.”
“I know.”
