no but actually imagine you're lando norris. you had a team dominating f1 for multiple years chasing you, and you still stayed loyal to midfield mclaren. everyone called you stupid for that. everyone said you'd never win a championship with that mentality. everyone accused you of being too afraid to battle max. you insisted you wanted to win races and championships with mclaren and believed in their ability to get there. now, you are battling max for a championship. that same team you've been loyal to refuses to give you any loyalty back. in fact, their new team principal just solidifies negative things you've been told your entire career by always speaking about how much mentally stronger and how much of a champion's mentality your teammate has. you get emotionally abused and gaslit by that same team principal into gifting that teammate a win. that team principal promises you the teammate will support you in your championship fight after all that abuse and manipulation, but he doesn't and refuses to comment when asked in the media if he'd even be willing to do it. then that team principal gives an interview about that same teammate being the future of the team. despite threatening your spot on the team if you could not be a team player mere weeks ago, but it's crickets and nothing but praise when teammate says he's not interested in playing the team game. imagine you're lando norris, and mental abuse aside, you might as well have just got backstabbed and slapped in the face by andrea stella and mclaren.
