The worship of Medeia and Kirke along Hekate is one of the best decissions I've ever made. I can rembeber that during my childhood I loved the Odyssey and was obssesed with a book on greek and roman mythology that my mum gave to me. Circe was so inspiring during those days. Living alone, surrounded by nature and practicing her spells with herbs. She had confidence, knowledge and power. I didn't worship the Gods in those days but a seed was planted. When I grew Hekate was my saviour during difficult times. Medeia came after those struggles. Strong, passionate, fair and also powerful. Came to me in the perfect moment to bring fortitude, justice and courage. Nowadays I worship Medeia and Kirke as ancestral figures of pharmakeia, heroines that aid in the veneration of Hekate and in practices of magic.

I had the pleasure to find the perfect image of Medeia in a second hand app (a miniature of the famous relief with the cauldron and the daughters of Pelias) but for Kirke it was very difficult. Finally I bought an statuette of Hebe, painted and added a little henbane embroidery and a rue wand. This is her new space, showing her influence over potioncraft and poisons.

when i first started practicing hellenic polytheism, i struggled with attributing all of my successes to the gods and all of my failures to myself. i wasn't happy, and i knew it wasn't healthy, so i made a change. if you're struggling with the same problem, try what i did.

say i'm going to give a presentation in class. i pray to lady aphrodite of confidence and lady athena of wisdom & intelligence and instead of saying "please help me do my presentation well and help me know everything i need to know", i'd say "i know i have the confidence and the knowledge to do this presentation well, but im having trouble finding those things. please help me find and utilize the confidence and knowledge i have". that way, even though i'm still getting help and guidance from the gods, im also acknowledging my personal strengths rather than saying that all of my strengths are actually the gods helping me. (maybe attributing your successes entirely to the gods works for some people, and that's great! for me, it felt like i was undermining my own achievements if i worked really hard on something and then thanked the gods for being the reason i succeeded.)

say i am actually not confident or knowledgeable at all and i kind of bomb the presentation. instead of thinking "im a failure and i can only succeed if the gods step in", i'll think, "oh, i don't actually have that much confidence or knowledge and there wasn't anything for lady aphrodite and lady athena to help me find! i need to work on confidence and research for future presentations". for me, this system has kept the best parts of asking the gods for help while taking away the parts that made me feel bad about myself, because no part of your worship should hurt you! sometimes it will be difficult, yes, but if your worship is making you feel bad about yourself or you are putting yourself down in your worship, it's time to make a change! change is okay, the gods understand!

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

I've been practicing for years. I pray like I breathe. I do not stop, and will never stop. It's such a non-issue that I did not even fathom such a discussion.
