Robin was a bad influence, but after the picture she showed you of a half asleep Nancy with a badly drawn smiley face on her forehead in red pen, you couldn’t resist it.

It just so happened that your boyfriend had a very tiring day, with a shift at family video and driving Dustin around for the rest of the day, Steve was knackered by the time he finally came home. He joined you on the sofa in front of the television which was playing Back to the Future, and within 10 minutes he was dead to the world - in dreamland hopefully thinking about kittens and rainbows and lollipops.

At first you were reluctant, Steve had had a very long day and he looked so sweet and peaceful, but the longer he slept, the more tempting it got, until you couldn’t resist it any longer. You reached over to the coffee table in front of you both, grabbed the black felt tip pen - the one that wasn’t permanent, you loved Steve too much for that - and delicately drew a curly moustache on his upper lip. Leaning back, you looked at your masterpiece and were quite proud of yourself, Steve suited his little moustache well, maybe you’ll encourage him to grow a real one in the future.

You ran and grabbed Steve’s polaroid camera from his bedroom and snapped a quick picture of Steve on the sofa, one you will cherish forever, and you think Robin will appreciate it too, and then gently woke him up to coax him to bed, even if you had to dodge every mirror in the house, you wanted the surprise the last until the morning at least!
