Also I did some monoprinting from my previous drawing that turned out well.
Mostly, I used yellow, white and black but for an actual contrast something I added a bit of red. After they were dry I worked on the top of the for the final look.
The materials I used after were:
-watercolours
-posca pens
-fineliners
-gel pens.
I have looked at some artist and I tried to so a fog and other thing for the background, the previous monoprints I did weren't looking nice, in my opinion so I tried something different this time. Also from my experience I can say that is easier to work on a plastic sheet than the card one. You can see you drawing without any stencils and also you can make some really fine details which I enjoy to do.
The artist I looked at were:
@daixykaren

Those weeks I tried to challenge myself to use and learn how to work with ink. These are some of my drawings I did.
I really enjoyed to paint fine details with my tiny brush. It was satisfying and now I can better use this material.
The artist I looked at while drawing were some of the artist on instagram such as
@stab.dee- they gave me the idea of the little funny fairies in the forest. I really like the style their tattoos are.
@inkdoski-hes style is so amazing and I trying to do something similar with her works. Sometimes it is hard to understand which line will look good or not but having the capability to do such amazing works is insane.
@kiryu_tattoo- some great Japanese style tattoos in bold lines with the ink effect. Really helped me to understand how ink works.
I have mostly used ink but there were more materials such as:
-posca pens
-gel pens
-fine lines
-pencils
-detail brush
Overall this challenge helped me to develop some ideas for my final outcome.
I still didn't which style it will be but at least I know how to work with new materials.

So this is one of the style that i think suits me the best. It's still a fairy but in a more dark and nightmarish style which I often draw.
I think this is one of the styles that I enjoy the most and I'm better at.
It is still nature and human theme and keeps the fairy topic too.
The materials I used where: pencilc. graphite, rubber and charcoal for some small details.

First one: markers, gel pens
Second: acrylic paint, pencils and posca pens.
I tried to use a different style and idea to see what will i get at the end and if it will challenging for me to do it. I am happy with the result even if it doesn't really represent roots and its ideas.

One of my thoughts about these topic were fairies so there are some of my works trying this idea out
First(markers, fineliners, gel pens)
Second(watercolors, fineliners, posca pens)
last ones are digital, photoshop and fourth in sketchbook app.
Personally for me is easily to draw in sketchbook app then in photoshop although there are more brushes. You can see by the quality of drawing..

Artist research
The artist I was inspired for my previous drawing as I said were Chris Thompson and an Instagram artist @ni4rte.
N14rte is one of the artists I found on Instagram while looking for inspiration and I immediately loved her works.
I can really explain what they are but from what I saw it a type of abstract drawing of everything in the same style. Its like a fog or sea waves or roots. It can be everything you see in them and that I think is amazing. She uses a range of materials like pencils, pens, ink, oil pastels and more other.
It is really satisfying to look at them and guess what the artist wanted to represent exactly and sometimes this thing will follow you through the day.
How it inspired me:
After looking at this artist I wanted to create something not similar but in the same idea of her works, so you can look and think what is represented in this work. I did my works on a bright background to contrast and I tried to do the same fog/sea waves/roots drawing with posca pens and fine liners.
I think that that worked really nice and I will continue to improve in the future.

Artist research
The artist I was inspired for my previous drawing as I said were Chris Thompson and an Instagram artist @ni4rte.
Chris Thompson is an artist that does his works in a monotone range, pastels natural colors without some colorful contrast in them.
Because he paints almost all of his works, I may assume he uses acrylic paint or oil paint.
Personally, for me his works are simple and I usually don’t like those type or art but I really liked the one that are related to our topic and I think that they can express loots of things about it.
From the photos I found I saw that the main color in all of his works is beige/peach color and because of that all of them are like in the same style and like in the same story if that make sense.
Maybe in the future I can create a range of paints in the same type of style and use some similar elements as he does.
When I’m looking at his works automatically I imagine small village where animals are in the fields and you can see small houses around with the people that talk with their neighbours outside and laugh together.
Looking at this artist helped me to draw from a photography and to use the key elements from it.

Session reflection
This session I produced nature photography inspired drawings.
There was a limit that I couldn’t go outside so I was inspired by photos on internet.
I wanted to do it with some simple materials so that’s why I used:
Alcohol markers
Fine liners
Posca pens and that is all.
I actually like very muck the outcome and it really reminds me of tree roots. Also, that day was raining so the multiple circles remind me of rain that charge the tree energy.
The first this that I did was the background with markers and because it was raining, I had an idea to let it rain a little bit on the background and after it dried there was some marks that I liked. Then I drew some circles with posca pens multiple sizes and for the final step were the actual roots. For them I used fine liners and brush pen to represent some deeper parts and that’s all I did for this work.
I was mostly inspired by Chris Thompson and an Instagram artist that I recently found @ni4rte.
Those two doesn’t have much in common but after I combined them I really enjoyed the process and how it turned out.
The thing that didn’t work well was to start this drawing. I didn’t have an idea but as it went was easier.
The thing that worked well was doing the roots, it is really relaxing and satisfying to draw them.

Today I want to share some of my thoughts about the topic, and some ideas I have too.
I didn't like the topic at the beginning because I thought it hasn't so much ways to develop this project. I can say I was wrong. Some of my first ideas were mystical creatures and I have this idea now too but in a different way. I would like to create some nature-human works, still with different characters in them.
You can see some of my inspirational post I found on Pinterest that I like and thought will represent what I want to say. I will keep my style of nightmares and creepy faces but there will be and something different. I really enjoy to search for some old drawing of fairies, ogres and other more magical creatures, they are the roots of legends and stories that we know and heard before bed. After them we saw amazing dreams, creative ones with beautiful and colorful illustrations. Even if they were nightmares, they still were unique. That will be a very nice thing to draw and recreate.
I already have done some works and just need to post them. Some of them are abstract and symbolic, some of them are not.
In the future I want to extend my idea of nature-human roots/magical-nightmares further and I'm exited to see where it will take me and what will be my final project art\work.

Another artist I was inspired to was T.M. Gallow.
I found him on Instagram a while ago and really liked their work.
they do creepy, surreal artworks that really blows you mind ( at least mine).
The materials they mostly use are ink, paint and acrylic paint.
Sometimes they draw on a book paper or other type of paper, not a simple one and that inspired me to draw on a map page.
Also I used or tried to use other elements that they do in my work, like creepy smile, bloody teeth and a crazy emotion. I really liked how it turned out. For the final look I did also blood fingerprints from eyes, something like tears and also a red print on the forehead.
The idea their works gave me are a parallel world with surreal monsters where all your fears turn out to be true. Also something like a nightmare of someone, I really enjoy looking at these types of works.
The elements I can use in my future works are the face emotion, the crazy one with a big smile, and of course the blood everywhere like they just ate someone) Also I would like to paint/draw on a book page like they sometimes do.
To sum up everything I want to say that this artist really helped me to do this task and I'm sure I'll come back looking at his works for a further inspiration

Artist research:
Adam Riches
One of the artists I was inspired for my previous art post was Adam Riches. He does tangled arts and portrets.
Because our topic was tangled roots he was one of the best inspirations. His arts remind a lot the roots of a tree or plant so that's why we were inspired by him.
The materials he use the most are pen and ink. Usually his works are monotone, just in one color.
The ideas his works gave me are distorted faces but without any issues like they dissolve in the air or water.
At first his works looks chaotic but in my opinion they are really accurate. You can define easily where is the eyes, what type of nose has the person and same with the lips.
Although of the random lines, they work perfectly together and the results always is incredible.
After I looked at his works and work process I knew exactly how to do the task, that I don't need to sketch anything and just trust the process. It really helped me to understand how this tangled art works.
In my opinion his art is unique and incredible, how he does all the details and face features. In spite of the fact that he use just one color they all look in the same style and same the magic in them.
In the future in my works I can try to di the same details on face, to draw the face cea darker and to add the lines outside the portrait like its dissolving.
Overall, looking at this artist helped me to understand tangled art and to do it by myself.

Session Reflection
This session I produced tangled roots inspired drawings.
For doing this task I was mostly inspired by Adam Riches, Naji Chalhoub and T.M. Gallows.
The materials I used this session were:
~fineliners
~watercolours
~pens
~map paper
~pencil
~rubber
~ruler
~posca pens
The process:
First at all on my paper I sketched of a face with a pencil to know approximately where the face features are and started to make chaotic lines to imitate roots and veins and continued to develop this work further by adding with the same lines shadows and relief.
For the background I used watercolors and I did something like wallpaper with some kind of blood prints and also for the key element I did my fingerprint on the forehead of my character.
For the second drawing I used map as a background because it also gave me roots vibes and I thoughts it will be a good idea. as the first one I did a sketch and with the fineliners I did lines. I also wanted to add teeth and again fingerprints but this time in the eyes .
The last one I did not want to be creepy. This time I didn’t sketch anything and started with a black pen and I used a reference, this was a lot easier that previous ones and also more satisfying to do because you didn’t limits of what to do.
For the background I was inspired by Adam Riches works and I wanted to do something in that style.
For my final outcomes I didn’t use any effects because I liked them in the original form. I tried and to invert the image, but it was kind of strange, so I changed my mind.
Personally for me this task was satisfying and wasn’t
hard to do. i kind of struggled with the background for the first drawing. I think I just needed to look more at artist works so I can see what elements I can use and which one will work with what I have done.
If I would do this task again I won’t sketch anything on my paper, I understand d that you make yourself borders where you are stuck in that sketch and your mind won’t look further.

These are some of my works I did for Ideas Lab. They were created using my previous works. For example: the second one’s background was from one of my work that I did inspired by my phobia, and I thought that it will look good.
The first one is also one of my work. I just did some things on photoshop so it will look creepier and more mysterious. You can see the original one on my page. It has a text on the top.
The last one was created from a random photo from google of a statue and I used it because when I mirrored it I have got an butterfly and I thought its cute and I can use it to develop an interesting outcome. Also I like to draw eyes and while I was playing with the effects I saw that there will be looking good some pairs of eyes)
To sum up everything I can say that it was really funny and interesting to do that task and I can say that I’ll do more in the future!
