“Imagine in Conquest if when Takumi had jumped off the wall in chapter 23, he just died there and then. But of course, the one to find him isn’t Corrin, but a distressed Sakura. not only that but using her distress, the being that possesses him now possesses Sakura, prompting her to take up the Fujin Yumi and run away, since she’s a priestess by now she can use bows after all. Now cut to the end of chapter 27, the one who attacks Corrin, bow in hand and uttering the words “Betrayal… I am betrayal!” isn’t Takumi, but Sakura, someone who was promised safety by Corrin and in the end betrayed, someone who watched her brother die, someone who didn’t want to be powerless to save the ones she loved, someone corrupted by her selfless desires to save people, and it would make the fight against her in the endgame more heart-wrenching than Takumi’s plus imagine a queen Hinoka sitting in an empty throne room, her whole family dead, just a bitter shell of who she was, struggling to forgive Corrin, the person she took up arms to save who had ended up causing the death of her family.” – ( @epictacticianjay )

With an arm trained on his bow, Takumi did not so much as take his eyes off the crowd for a second. Over the course of the past five days the city had erupted in an all out war; the once perfectly mundane NPCs were now raising havoc in all sorts of ways, and the prince couldn’t help but wonder what the scientists stood to gain from such chaos.
Thankfully, he was far from the only person qualified for dispelling any fights that broke out, and though it wasn’t necessarily his responsibility to take to the streets and defend his fellow citizens, Takumi felt inclined all the same. He wasn’t alone here, after all, and that meant he’d have to keep the city a relatively safe place for his siblings. It was for this reason he was drawn to a capable looking woman with a sword at her side.
“This is bad,” he admitted as it occurred to him just how outnumbered they were,
“But I’m right behind you.”
Not a moment later a peppering of gunshots erupted somewhere in the mass. Panic spread like wildfire, and the next thing Takumi knew was that people were pushing against them from all sides.
“There’s too many people to fight here!”
@kyudoji
“This is a lot worse than I had expected…”
It had taken a while for her to talk to an NPC that was bothering some of the outsiders like herself and luckily, she was able to do so with this particular one. Most of them, though, had attacked her if she tried to talk to them and she was running out of ideas on how to calm them down. Protecting them from any of the outsiders that wanted to use this chance to cause harm to them wasn’t just enough; she needed to make sure they didn’t harm anyone innocent either.
It was hard trying to mediate between the two groups. She didn’t want to hurt anyone, but it seemed like she would have to raise her sword if they tried to hurt anyone. She sighed, turning towards the archer she had ran into with an uncertain look.
“The area around here isn’t safe, so if you’d like to stick by me as we tread to a more… less hostile area, you are free to do so.”

Takumi was of course inclined to protest when he felt a sudden, unexpected force push him away. What was with these people and their manners?
“Hey, what are you—” raising his eyebrows in disbelief, the prince was moved a foot or two before firmly planting his feet on the ground. She’d caught him off guard, but he wasn’t about to be literally shoved around!
Facing the other direction, he happened to catch a glimpse of the shady figure as it retreated to the open street. Stepping away from individual that’d pushed, him, Takumi crossed his arms as she offered him an explanation. She seemed trustworthy, enough--at least, someone he would be more inclined to believe than the hooded figure that so narrowly passed him by.
“Uh, well,”
“Okay, I guess. Thanks.” Managing a small smile, he’d rub the back of his neck. “I didn’t realize I was being followed,” he admitted with a tinge of embarrassment. It was unlike him to be so careless, but the city was admittedly a cacophony for the senses and nothing at all like the forests of Hoshido.
“We should probably get out of this place before more trouble shows up. What’s your name?”
@kyudoji
Stumbling into the nearest alleyway wasn’t the way Sumia intended to start conversation with the stranger, even if she shouldn’t have been surprised at the turn of events. For once, she hadn’t tripped and fallen into him, but rather pushed him swiftly out of the way of another citizen, their eyes hungry for what Sumia could only assume was violence. Given the strange occurrences she’d been observing since her arrival, her defenses were up and it was better to be safe than sorry, especially considering the unfamiliar weapon she swore they had in hand.
Once she was sure the perpetrator had walked past, she gathered her wits and managed to speak to the stranger she’d grabbed. Embarrassed with her actions, the knight spoke in broken fragments.
“A-are you okay? Um… I don’t know if you noticed that person, but they looked like they were really out to get someone, so I figured I’d step in… I’m really sorry to bother you! I’m not totally sure what’s happening around here.” Whatever it was, it seemed like a lot of senseless and uncontrollable violence.

Leave it to Takumi to expect the worst when he witnessed the tell all twinkle of teardrops bud at the corners of his sister’s eyes. A protective hand gravitated towards her back; there was no way he’d let any harm come to her now that she was here.
“S-Sakura? What happened?” trying to maintain his cool, he could scarcely hide the sense of alarm in his voice,
“Are you okay?” scanning the crowd for any signs of foul play, the prince found no such reason to suspect anyone nearby was the reason behind this.
That was, unless..
“Those scientists didn’t hurt you, did they?” he questioned, narrowing his eyes.
❁赤い ;;
@kyudoji
𝓡𝓮𝓭. A bright, bold color. The color of her oldest brother’s armor, of her oldest sister’s hair, of…Takumi’s hair ribbon.
Any tension that she had unconsciously been carrying around on her shoulders suddenly left, and her chest flooded with relief and… a sense of security– of, well, safety.
Takumi was here.
Her eyes felt very warm, suddenly. Dark eyelashes fluttered and stuck together as she blinked rapidly, feeling the moisture prickle at the corners of her eyes. With quick steps she maneuvered as best as she could through the crowd, always keeping that bit of red in sight (earning an occasional unintentional elbow to the side, she was sure), scared that if she looked away he might just.. disappear.
“T-Takumi!” Sakura puffed out, leaning forward to reach out, grasping the soft fabric of his sleeve.

It just so happened that Takumi was equally as exhausted as his poor retainer. With the purpose in his gait abandoned long ago, the draw of sleep tugged heavily on his eyelids as he stumbled city block to city block.. There were only six more to go before he turned right, and then another three..
Needless to say, the benches he passed on his way were starting to look awfully comfortable right now, were it not for the knowledge he possessed regarding what exactly he’d be touching.
Rubbing his eyes, the prince stopped in his tracks not a moment too soon for another, smaller force to bump right in to him. Unlike Oboro, the prince was always in the spirit to resist, especially considering his fatigue. Turning around to give the clueless culprit a piece of his mind, Takumi was instead silenced by what his weary eyes discovered.
“Oboro..?” he extended a tentative hand to place on her shoulder to see whether or not she was truly there,
“I’ve been looking all over for you!” shaking his head, he could scarcely contain a laugh of relief as opposed to the disappointment she’d been expecting, “Is Hinata here, too?”
@kyudoji
〔 槍 〕- It still hurt inside.
Every day that passed by without having found Takumi - or having confirmed, without a doubt, that he wasn’t here - made Oboro’s heart ache. Never mind her duty to him as his retainer; as a person, Oboro cared for Takumi far more than was likely needed. After her encounter with the girl with the bow and arrow earlier, she expected that not even the most obvious of cues could help her track him down. There was nothing left to do now but scour the streets and hope that she’d simply chance upon him.
A part of her wished she never did, though.
If he was here, then that meant that somehow, Oboro had failed him as a retainer, and could no longer face her beloved lord. And if he wasn’t here, then Oboro at least knew he wasn’t here, and hoped that Hinata could succeed where she had failed. Ironic, considering her general aptitude for the position compared to him, but she still trusted him explicitly. But what if Takumi was here? What would Oboro say to defend herself? Would she even need to?
Thoughts swirled through her head, though they all jostled back into place when she’d bumped into someone walking home. She was tired, and simply wanted to get home; as such, she was simply too tired to yell and defend her position on the sidewalk. It wasn’t as if she would just magically bump into the exact person she was searching for-
“L-Lord Takumi…?”
Fate had a funny way of working sometimes, she supposed.

While Takumi was regularly receptive to the presence of adorable animals, this was a bit.. much. When one stray cat took to brushing against his ankles affectionately, he gave it a gentle scratch behind the ears only to find that a few more appeared in its wake. And then several more. Cats were pouring out of the woodwork, so it seemed, and digging through his pockets, the prince confirmed that he didn’t even have any food on him!
“Um.. hey, kitties..”
Though this was fine for now, things could go south awfully quick if his new feline friends turned on him.. Had he wandered in to the territory of some crazy cat lady? Searching the scene for any possible culprit, Takumi scratched the back of his head. At the very least he’d know where to take Sakura to cheer her up!
Stepping around the cats as carefully as one could, the prince miscalculated and managed to place his foot on a tail: an error Takumi did not become aware of until the sharp sting of claws was embedded in his ankle.
“Ow, ow, ow! Somebody get it off!”
@kyudoji
Her experiences with samurai had been wholly unpleasant. Witnessing them assault and murder her family, resulting in her owner’s suicide… to the grievances of her fellow bakeneko, tails severed into a nub by youkai slaying warriors. It led to her to being suspicious of nearly anyone wearing clothing resembling their traditional garb or even carrying a carrying a weapon of any kind. But attacking on assumption would only bring her misfortune as previous encounters had taught her…
So Miike recruited some assistance to do some scouting. Unfortunately, it seemed to have backfired.
Swarming the legs of the silver headed man, dozens of cats pawed and meowed at him with a few jumping up to paw at his ponytail. She had only ask them to observe from a safe distance and observe him not flock him in a purring mass. She tried to gain back their attention with a few taps of her cane but none seemed to have noticed.
“… Do city cats know no discretion? How mortifying…”

“What? We have what?” he pressed forward despite Forrest’s apparent desire to move on. Why was he taking this so personally? As far as Takumi was concerned, that Hoshidans and Nohrians would be forever at odds was simply the order of things. What other outcome could be expected as a consequence of the atrocities committed against his own kingdom?
Running a hand through his bangs, the prince made it readily apparent that his patience wore thin.
“I don’t know how else to put this,” he began, face matching the other’s embarrassed shade of pink,
“I don’t have a son, for crying out loud. It’s impossible. I’m not even married!” Hopefully that would clarify any confusion on Forrest’s part, who assumed such denial was a product of abandonment as opposed to benign truth.
“…What?” He blinks. Twice. Three times. “You and my father - you have -” It’s clear saying ‘have gotten over some of your differences’ would not go over well. He stops that line of speech, if only to regroup, before something clicks in him as it had for Takumi.
“You don’t - my lord, while I would - while I can understand why you might choose to ignore me, it is -” his face is pink. Someone who doesn’t know him might attribute it to embarrassment, but those who know him well enough would recognise it as rarely felt and even more rarely expressed anger. “Your son is another matter entirely. To even joke about that, even if it is to spite me - he is your own flesh!”
His voice isn’t raised, but it’s clear he’s upset. Grey eyes shine with unshed tears as he averts his gaze.
“Forgive me my rudeness, but please - don’t say such things.”
He knows how much a father’s dismissal hurts.

Priding himself for at last finding a quiet place to practice his skills, Takumi’s mood was only soured when he realized just how rusty he’d gotten over the course of the last few weeks. Archery required both space and time, both resources as scarce as they were sought after in the city. With a makeshift target board and a tree, the prince managed to make things work in an isolated part of sector 006 where few people were likely to cross his line of fire.
Plucking a single arrow from his quiver, he’d line up for the shot.. and missed the board by a few centimeters. Exhaling, he’d adjust his posture.. only for a sudden gust of wind to send the target flying over the hill!
“Hey! Get back here!” he cried out to little avail.. Hanging his head, the dejected prince brought a palm to his face. This wasn’t going as planned..

Takumi was far too accustomed to the cities wonders—if that’s what one could call them—to be surprised by much of anything anymore. The changing buildings of sector 001, the vast greenness of sector 006 that if he closed his eyes and listened could almost be the forests of Hoshido.. The prince had thought he’d seen it all until a familiar voice graced his ears.
Whipping his head around so fast that he nearly ate his ponytail, it was with little effort Takumi picked Ryoma out of the crowd and rushed towards him, stopping just short of an embrace.
“Ryoma!”
“Yeah.. me too,” he smiled for once in who knows how long, “I’m not sure what this means for Hoshido, but I’m glad to see it’s not just me..”
@kyudoji (*Liquid Voice* BROTHER! IT’S BEEN FAR TOO LONG!)
Perhaps this day would shape to be better. Ryoma continued walking through the city to gain information on what sector had to offer for the citizens. It was interesting to think each section were so distinct from one another. It’s like he stepped into a different city. As he pressed on, he found himself glancing at a familiar figure. There was certainly no mistaking such a distinct style of hair. He surely hope that it was who he thought and not someone who bore a hairstyle.
Though, once Ryoma got a look of his face. He mind was certain that it was indeed his brother.
“Gods! Takumi! I am pleased to see that you are here and unharmed!”

It was only a girl that appearance before him, and Takumi found some degree of relief in this realization. Breathing a sigh, he’d turn his attention back to the sky.
“Don’t startle me like that,”
“Nothing could can come of it.”
Though he wasn’t exactly expecting company tonight, the prince wasn’t so cruel as to kick her out from her favorite stargazing spot. If anything, he was the unwelcome presence here.
“Want me to leave?”
Ivris jumped slightly from the sudden, sour voice that was directed at her. This was her normal stargazing spot, but now there was someone there. It wasn’t quite dark enough to see the stars yet, so Ivris could at least make out an outline of the person. A long ponytail, and judging by the voice, he was male.
It still startled Ivris to no end that he was here. She thought only she knew where this place was. That was not the case anymore.
“I’m not a threat! I promise…!” She said in a hurried, frantic voice. “I just… Come here to stargaze.”

Don’t be alarmed, Hive City, if you walk by Sector 6 and hear the gentle giggling coming from the woods.. Did you see that? No, of course not, there’s no such thing as fairies. You must be losing your mind. If you hear soft voices and sing song tones, it would be best to stay away from District Mu.. at least, for now.
[[Hello hello hello my lovely muns! It’s been three years since I’ve done a mini event so I’m really excited. Last time I did one of these I had so much fun, so here we go again! I’m stoked, I’ve been planning this for months.
On July 25th, I (well, Light) will be hosting a Midsummer’s Night Dream themed summer ball which will take place in Sector 6, District Mu! The ball itself takes place on the 25th, but starters for the ball can be written from the 25th of July to the 1st of August, so the ball itself will have only been one night in Citta canon, but the event will be a week real time. It’ll be a semi formal to formal type deal and I’ll be contacting a couple people through out the month (IC) about things like food, drink, decor, etc.
So! Do me a favor and reblog this post! Just like the last ball I did, I’m going to be making invitations for everyone who does (Citta affiliated blogs only, obviously) which means your submit box needs to be open so your character can get theirs.
Use the tag #ca midsummer as easy access for starters, dash commentary, etc. so that it’s easier for people to follow. That’s the tag I’ll be using for updates or news about the event as well!
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me about it! I’d love to answer them! IMs are open as well if you feel more comfortable contacting me that way. I hope people will enjoy doing this event as much as I’ve enjoyed planning it!]]

braids his hair :')
It took some major convincing to allow Hinoka anywhere near his hair, and allowing her to style it even more so. Still, Takumi was a little more open to the idea being that it’d been forever since they’d seen each other last and their little sister’s hair, given it’s short length, didn’t leave much room for such tasks.
“Make sure you undo it when you’re done, okay?” he chuckled.
