Hello! I am alright and still semi-regularly visiting tumblr. I had plans/preparations for a May the 4th exchange a few months ago, but as it’s far too late now (and I have some personal issues to sort out in the meantime), the next exchange will likely be for Halloween!

And spookily themed, I intend to mix things up a little for that.

Summary: Grand Marshal Hux is distraught when he discovers what kind of training Supreme Leader Ren is engaging in to keep himself bound to the dark side, and suspects the involvement of the deceased Snoke.

(sidenote: I recall reading this at the time and loving it. Not including it on the rec-list is purely my fault, but I cannot recommend this enough for the lovely writing and the sense of intimacy between Kylo and Hux- I kept on thinking about it for days. Revisiting it again today, it’ll no doubt stick in my mind again. If you’re still following this blog, I definitely recommend you give it a shot if you haven’t already!)

The back of Kylo’s neck prickled. The more he looked at the pair, the more something felt off. He was certain he didn’t know the blond man, but the other one felt familiar to him, and uncomfortably so. He stood watching for a moment longer, then, making sure no one was watching, vaulted over the railing. He had time.

“I told you,” the slender one snapped, “don’t call me that.”

The slender one, unmistakably, was General Hux.

(Or, the one where Kylo and Hux both find themselves on Chandrila with lackluster dates for the local equivalent of Valentine’s Day, a bit too much alcohol is imbibed, feelings are had, and animosity gives way to something else.)

I just wanted to say thank you so much for running this past exchange! This has been by far the most organized, efficient Kylux fest I've seen on tumblr. Thank you for all your hard work!

Ah gosh, thank you very much! Truthfully my organizational skills really fell through towards the end- I owe everything to the pinch-hitters who swooped in and really saved the day.Everyone who volunteered to pinch-hit just going above and beyond- especially beyond considering the circumstances and time-limits involved.Someone even wrote 5,000 words of fic with less than four hours to go until the reveal. I’m still floored.

So as opposed to hard work, I believe that the Kylux fandom simply... contains some of the kindest people I’ve met in my fandom career. People were all very communicative, everyone was friendly and understanding. So many people people, on anon and otherwise, were helpful to me.

Truth be told I’m still a little bewildered and amazed by the dedication people put in to their fics, and the effort they put in to post it- and I mean, just a reminder here- but real life should always come first, please love yourselves because you deserve it.

And oh man, I’ve deviated a lot from the original ask. Thank you so much, and thank you from me for participating.

Hi there! I ran a little statistics (job deformation) and apart from four giftees who didn't deliver any fic (I assume those are drop-outs), one orphaned work, one gift fic without a giftee and one anonymous contribution there appears to be a giftee with two gifts! How does this happen? That's a nice variety of situations, I imagine running this must have been a headache. Kudos to you!

Hello there! And yes, gosh, a variety of situations. I imagine the rest are fairly self-explanatory, but the two gifts situation was due to a mistake on my part!

For participants who opted for tumblr contact, I put their assignment into a google doc and sent the doc link via IMs. I accidentally sent the same doc link to two participants, leaving two people with the same assignment, and a third person without a writer assigned to them.

Because I was ticking off submissions based on the submitter as opposed to the giftee, I actually missed this until super late- but thankfully it was caught and that person was pinch-hit for!

And ah! The gift fic without a giftee is actually a really unique case! What happened was that the writer found our collection on AO3 and never found our tumblr- a fault on my part as I never updated the collection with our tumblr and sign-up details.Due to sign-ups being conducted outside AO3 they couldn’t sign up, but eventually they wrote a fic anyway and submitted it very close to the 14th! I got in contact and they were kind enough to fill in a sign-up form for me, after which I added their prompts to the pinch-hit pool!

The entire exchange has been a huge learning experience- one that I’m thankful worked out (seemingly) well.I really have to thank everyone who signed up to pinch-hit for that though, as my organizational skills really fell through towards the end. Honestly so grateful to them. The true MVPs. ;-;

After two years of travelling the world trying to find himself, Kylo Ren is as lost as ever. When he returns home for a brief visit, he is unexpectedly reunited with his best friend and long-time secret crush, Armitage Hux.

Modern AU: Hux and Kylo have been best friends since high school, that’s why it’s no surprise that when Hux gets invited to the Organa estate for Leila’s birthday they’re placed in the same room because all the others are taken. They share Kylo’s old room and they’re thankful he’s always been big and had a big bed. They get nostalgic about the time they spent there and their unspoken crushes come out at full force. Leia has the “It worked” Look when the next morning they’re acting like drunk in Love teens.
